I had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious and well-designed, spotlessly clean, and completely odor-free. The bed was so soft and comfortable, I slept like a baby. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and there was plenty of hot water, with all the essential amenities provided. The hotel staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. The location is super convenient for transportation, yet the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. It’s definitely an excellent choice for a trip.
The hygiene was top-notch; there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and the room was well-ventilated with a comfortable temperature. The soundproofing was fantastic, making for a truly quiet night's rest. The facilities were excellent, with soft, pleasant lighting. The staff were responsive and friendly. This hotel offers much better value for money than others in its price range, and I would genuinely recommend it and definitely return.

Hilton Golmud was a comfortable and welcome stop during our long journey through Qinghai. As a halfway point between destinations, it provided a much-needed opportunity to rest and recharge.
The hotel feels more like a business hotel, with comfortable rooms and all the essentials for a pleasant stay.
One thing worth noting is that if you plan to dine at the Chinese restaurant, it is best to make a reservation in advance. We walked in without a reservation and found that many dishes were no longer available. However, the restaurant team was very accommodating and kindly prepared several dishes using the ingredients they still had on hand. We were grateful for their effort and hospitality.
Overall, a reliable and comfortable choice for travelers passing through Golmud.

This is a great hotel! The rooms are spacious, which my kids loved. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The service was excellent, and all our families had a positive impression of this hotel. They even offered us fresh goji berries to try, upgraded our room type, and allowed for a late check-out.

On June 28, 2026, at 7:00 AM, after a high-speed train and a slower 'green-skin' train journey, we finally arrived at the Golmud Huanghe International Hotel. The friendly front desk lady warmly welcomed us and quickly processed our check-in. She even thoughtfully gave us two breakfast vouchers and advised us to rest well at the hotel after eating to acclimatize to the high altitude, rather than engaging in strenuous activities right away.
The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient for dining and shopping. It also has its own parking lot, which is very friendly for self-driving tourists. The guest rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and hygienic, and the housekeeping staff diligently cleaned them every day. The hotel breakfast was abundant, offering both Chinese and Western options, as well as ******* tsampa and milk tea. The freshly prepared beef noodles were particularly good. They delivered complimentary fruit and snacks every day. On two occasions when we left early for a day tour, they even prepared packed lunches for us.
The lobby manager, Xiaofang, was incredibly kind. She gave us a discount when we extended our stay and even added us on WeChat, checking in daily to see how we (being seniors in our sixties) were adapting to the high altitude. The Golmud Huanghe International Hotel truly felt like a warm and considerate temporary home for us in the highlands. We are very grateful for the efforts of every staff member at the hotel. Our trip to the Northwest highlands was delightful, and none of our initial worries materialized; we completed our high-altitude itinerary smoothly. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit Golmud. Five-star rating!

I booked this stay at Hotel because of its strong reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the reputation—arguably the best hotel in Golmud.
From the moment I arrived, the hospitality stood out. Even as a solo foreign traveller, I felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. A complimentary fruit platter was provided, which was a thoughtful touch after a long journey. The housekeeping team was especially impressive—meticulous in their work and leaving heartfelt handwritten notes every day, which added a very personal warmth to the stay.
Even small details were carefully considered. The laundry area had a coffee machine and other amenities, clearly designed to make waiting more comfortable. The hotel also offers free airport transfer, which made arrival and departure completely hassle-free.
I would also like to give special mention to the receptionist, 王蒙蒙, who was exceptionally helpful. She went out of her way to assist me in contacting a driver, which made a big difference for me as a solo female traveller in a new place.
Overall, my time in Golmud was made memorable because of this hotel. It didn’t feel like just a place to stay—it felt like being welcomed into a small, caring community.

The room was large and bright, and it slept well. It was upgraded to Building 6. It was a courtyard-style building. The environment was very beautiful. There were many citizens walking on the side at night. The breakfast was also very rich. The impression was that there was beef with sauce. The government hotel had a deep heritage.

This time I stayed at this hotel for the exam, the experience was great! The location of the hotel is particularly good, very close to the test center, within walking distance, saving the traffic trouble, so that I can focus more on the exam. The room was quiet and tidy, the sound insulation was very good, and the rest was very practical at night, and there was no external interference at all. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning temperature was suitable, which made me fully relaxed before the exam. The staff service is also very intimate, knowing that I am coming to the exam, specially reminded me of the breakfast time and arranged a wake-up service for me, very warm heart. The hotel front desk would call in advance to ask about our itinerary and arrival time. When they learned that we were on a honeymoon trip, they took the initiative to upgrade our room when we checked in.
