Easy 10/10. Perfect location, impeccably maintained property — worth a visit on its own. Outstanding room quality, attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine friendliness. Spot on.
A small story: I handed in my shoes for shining on the evening of our arrival, as I needed them for a ballet performance at the Mariinsky Theater the next day. Somehow, the hotel misplaced the shoes, and I had to leave for the performance in my sneakers. Natalia from the concierge desk tracked them down, drove to the theater, texted me the moment the first intermission started, and was waiting outside with my polished shoes and a shoehorn — then even returned my sneakers to the room. Truly impressive and completely unexpected! It almost makes you forget the minibar price list (though I still enjoyed the $15 pack of gummy bears). Tipp: try the insta breakfast in the room - another 10/10!

I am traveling with my wife and spent two days in St. Peter , the location is just next to big Cathedral and waking distance from winter palace. Many interesting restaurants nearby. The building is over 200 years old , very interesting and very maintained

I rate it from the standpoint of price-quality ratio. What is quality in a 5 star hotel and why will I never return to Astoria? The devil is in the details: this is not only the presence of comfortable beds, bathrobes or slippers (although here they turned out to be “easier” than in other 5* hotels in St. Petersburg), but, above all, this is the service for which every guest comes. In Astoria, there was a feeling that you had to constantly ask and remind for service: to bring suitcases, bring a coffee machine to the room (from the second reminder, the maid who came simply killed with an arrogant phrase: “limit, one capsule per person per day” ***?). In the evening, guests are served Alenka candy (very frivolous for a hotel of this level, especially if it has its own line of chocolates from chocolatiers, which are sold in a nearby store). When checking out, the deposit was returned only after contacting the hotel, two days after check-out, which also had to be reminded. There are no welcome drinks (which is the norm for other 5* hotels in St. Petersburg). In general, if you are looking for 5* service, book the Grand Hotel, Helvetia or something like that.
Maybe in the suites with a view of the cathedral there is enough space, but we took a standard room and its ergonomics turned out to be a little strange (for example, the door in the bathroom rests on the sink, it’s impossible to get through).
In fairness, I would like to note the extremely polite communication of the staff in the entrance area, the girls at the reception and the wonderful bar in the hotel lobby, with excellent coffee and desserts. But you can get into it without booking a room in this hotel.

This place since it was Sofitel or even earlier W designed with love by Antoni Citterio Burau is my favorite place for business travel in St. Peterburg.
Lovely location, design and service stands for real 5-star!
A gourmet restaurant on sight makes it very convenient for business meals like breakfast, lunch or dinner with no need to browse surroundings by foot!

The hotel is great, but the room had an unpleasant smell, as if someone had hidden a sweaty T-shirt. The air freshener offered by the maid saved the situation for about 30 minutes. I suffered from this smell for a day. In addition, the air conditioner blew directly on the bed, despite the fact that I turned it off, apparently the ventilation still continues, it still blows unpleasantly. The service is ok, the kettle was brought about five minutes after the call, the water was replenished, the room was prepared for bedtime. The breakfasts are excellent, but very cramped, there is little space in the Asia restaurant, if there are two of you, they will offer a small table and guests and waiters are constantly scurrying around. The service here was a little disappointing. They never brought coffee to go, I asked for an omelette for my child with milk, but for some reason it was like just a scrambled egg, a flat, not airy egg pancake.

Extremely convenient location, delicious and varied breakfast, the warmth of the fireplace, and the 24-hour sauna, which is lovely in winter. The staff are kind and courteous; everything was top-notch, leaving only pleasant impressions! A special thank you for the delightful, perfectly made desserts!

This is a fantastic hotel. Although small, it has everything.
The butlers and doormen make you feel like royalty, and the champagne and chocolate check-in ceremony is a truly special occasion.
The rooms are beautifully decorated, and it's close to major attractions.

This is the first time I've ever experienced this level of service from hotel staff. Their attention to every detail, from the hotel and room introduction during check-in to the delightful complimentary box of pastries and chocolates upon check-out, was truly outstanding. The hotel's restaurants are a story in themselves, offering astonishingly high-quality dishes and once again, incredibly friendly and welcoming waiter service. The hotel and restaurant manager has clearly done a fantastic job with the staff. Breakfast at 5:30 AM à la carte is just top-notch. I highly recommend the pampushky at the restaurant to all foodies – they're incredibly delicious even on their own!

This is a really great hotel with excellent service. The room is small, but it has everything you need. The bathroom is actually better in person than in the photos. The breakfasts are delicious and varied.
The room is fully equipped: a tea station, a coffee machine, an ironing board, an iron, and even water already poured into a cup for the iron. There were tons of towels (about 10!), bottled water everywhere in the room, slippers, a great quality bathrobe, an Apple TV, and all L'Occitane toiletries in the bathroom. I really loved everything.

The hotel is just next to St. Isaac's Cathedral, 10 minutes from the subway station and about 10 minutes from the Winter Palace. The English language at the front desk of the hotel is very good and the service attitude is very good. The room was very comfortable and tidy, our twin room, standard single bed. The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel is also good. It is too cold to have a night, so you can eat it directly. It is not expensive!

Superior Deluxe room was too basic, quite small and rather cold in the evening and at night. The view on St. Isaac’s Cathedral was stunning. There’s a small indoor swimming pool and a sauna in the hotel.
