I want to say that this is the best hotel in Russia we've ever stayed at! I'm being honest. We had no questions about anything. 1) The location is excellent. The metro is 50 meters away. The Arboretum and the start of the beautiful embankment, which you can walk along to Plotinka (the city center), are opposite. The huge Greenwich shopping center (with a 24-hour supermarket with the best selection) is next door. Good restaurants, of which Yekaterinburg has many, are within walking distance. 2) The staff is excellent. They were friendly, answered all our questions, gave recommendations, and never turned down any request. 3) The rooms are clean, bright, and have a nice, unusual (French style) renovation. They are well-equipped: a kettle, cups, glasses, tea, robes, slippers, and all the toiletries. Chairs, a table, a wardrobe, a safe, a TV, a small refrigerator, an iron and ironing board, shoe care products. Easily adjustable air conditioning, scissors, needles and thread, curtains large enough to darken the room, and a table, two chairs, and an ashtray on the balcony (important for smokers). The linens, mattress, and towels were clean. Towels were changed daily. 4) The hotel itself has its own parking lot and a pleasant green courtyard. 24/7! Tea, coffee from the coffee machine, croissants, cookies, and candy (never running out), homemade lemonade (a different kind every day), and lots of games and books in the relaxation area (sofa, chairs, and tables). There's a spa, a massage therapist, and a massage chair (we didn't use it ourselves, but guests said it was excellent). Reception offered umbrellas when they saw it was about to rain. A stand with a variety of excursions and cultural events (we didn't use them, we booked everything in advance). 5) The breakfast is excellent!!!! Not only is there a fantastic buffet (vegetables, fruits, cold meats, cheeses, pancakes, sausages, eggs, casseroles, herring with potatoes, salads (vinaigrette, Stolichny, crab, Olivier), yogurts, pastries (croissants, buns, Napoleon, etc.), fish waffle cones, sandwiches, two types of juices, and fruit drink. You can also order from the menu for free: 8 or 9 items.
