We always enjoyed this place when our daughter attended Gonzaga and we still do! We hadn't been back to Spokane for over 10 years but the Oxford Suites still was our perfect go to! We were able to get a shuttle ride from the airport and enjoyed the evening beverages at the hotel as well as the breakfast! Also, the walk to downtown Spokane and Gonzaga is very nice along the river.

Large ample room with all the amenities, steps from the walking path on the river. Not far to a pedestrian bridge that puts you into beautiful Discovery Park and the Centennial Trail. Excellent location, excellent amenities, excellent breakfast. First class all around.

The hotel is a century-old hotel, the first floor is the restaurant and bar, the restaurant has good breakfast and dinner, especially the steak is delicious, because the American beef is also very good. The room facilities are very good, the bed is very soft and the sheets are changed every day. And the hotel does not charge for the tip we cleaned. The second floor of the hotel can be visited and the tour fee is included in the room rate. The hotel is decorated in a European style.

It's an older hotel, the bed is too soft, the hand soap and shower gel were out and not replenished when I checked in, the service is so-so.

This hotel had the best Amenities such as in room safe, internet connection, fancy bedding with deluxe pillows and bedspreads. Also the bathrooms were high fashioned with walk in showers with doors and lots of soap and lotion to enjoy for personal hygiene and comfort. The restaurants and lounge area were high fashioned and very Medieval type. Very convenient for llarge groups. I would suggest a Toastmasters International at this place due to very large conference and ballrooms for both Banquets and World Speaking Contests. The headquarters is located in Mission Viejo CA where founder Ralph Smedley founded this group coming up 100 years in 2026 and more than 20000 clubs worldwide including many in Spokane WA, Hopefully if they do meet here, they will be able to ride to sky glider ride and face much calmer Wildfire situation as opposed to present plus not have many streets under construction,

We attended an event at the Davenport Grand and had a fine overall stay at one of the modern hotels in the chain. Straight forward to drive to from I-90 with a large on site parking lot ( either self park or valet)- parking is pricey but not out of line for large downtown hotels. Check in was professional and efficient ( thanks Jenny!) there are multiple restaurants and lounges in the hotel as well as large conferencing facilities. Our room was a large king bed unit with multiple pieces of embellished original art, large flatscreen with lots of channels, a quiet, efficient HVAC, a safe, Keurig coffee and lots of outlets. The bath was also large with a very large shower, very good towels and toiletries. The bed and linens were good. Our group price was within reason for a hotel of this type. Check out was efficient. Our meals and beverages were of good quality, priced typically for a large hotel. Service was routinely pleasant although it seemed that all areas were understaffed- not unusual in todays environment. Very good house, in most regards.

We flew into Spokane for a nice long road trip to explore this part of the USA. This hotel was where we stayed for a few days at the beginning of the trip, and we liked it so much that we returned there for the final night. It is in a primo location. A castle up on the hill with beautiful sunsets. We had planned to stay nearer to the airport on our last night but we liked this hotel and the location worked out well. The rooms were very very clean and the staff were nice and helpful. We had a little problem with the refrigerator in the room, they immediately sent maintenance to replace it. Breakfast was good, basic HIEX done well, they were keeping it clean and fresh. We chatted with the lady staffing the breakfast, and she was really nice and friendly. Nice little balcony overlooking the river, there were hotels on the river but this one is across the road. The location, up on the hill, so pretty. It’s got nice landscaping and some fragrant flowers planted near the front door. Parking was not a problem until that final night, the hotel was full and we were lucky to find a place right by the door. They bake fresh cookies every night and have them available for free at the front desk, really nice especially during these crazy times. Will stay here again when we return to the area. It was easy to walk to our car rental place, about a mile away.

This hotel looks pretty awesome from the outside. It’s perched on top of a basalt rock ledge overlooking downtown from across the river. It’s a Tudor-style castle looking thing so it definitely catches your eye. The lobby and grounds are nice as well. It’s not right downtown but it’s just a short-ish walk across the river and through riverfront park to the downtown core. Once you’re in the hotel it’s basically your standard holiday inn and a bit of an older one at that. The hallways are narrow and out of date. The rooms are a bit better but could probably still use a facelift. Bed was reasonably comfortable though. There are views from parts of the hotel but the balconies are tiny and somewhat uninviting due to the presence of Division Street (very busy) right nearby. All in all a worthwhile place but more for the exterior and location than anything else.

Great location, nicely appointed rooms and delicious food that is far from the standard Marriott fare! Appreciate the friendly staff and being in a true location of hospitality. Thank you for bringing back valet! Highly recommend the cream pancakes!

No breakfast. The service was good, the room was very large and the decoration was very personal and liked. No one helped with luggage when the lobby was arriving and leaving. Many restaurants and hotels around. The bar in the lobby is a bit noisy

My experience was good not great in that it will not be a memorable experience and I will most likely try a different hotel/inn next time. Which I am really surprised about because of the fact that I have been at a coue of 3 star hotels in spokane that were way more and the doubletree is supposed to be a 4 star. The best part was the breakfast very tasty. The room was clean enough but out dated there were a few cheap upgrades not what I would have expected from a 4 star hotel.

Room was very attractive and well kept. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping is complementary but upon request which is actually a very nice feature. Tiny refrigerator in the TV cabinet and no microwave, but we were allowed to use the one downstairs at Starbucks.

I was in the week of October 16-22, for a conference. The hotel is a fantastic location, in front of Riverside Park, which is the centre of Spokane, two steps from the congress centre, which reaches walking by the Centennial Trail, a path that costs Spokane River for 38 miles eastward. West. It is advisable for those who have to go to work at the congress centre. They also have the Starbucks in the lobby, and the strippers of long chairs in front of the TV, always in the lobby (very Stefano? :-) The rooms are clean and comfortable, soft and large beds, as in the American style. Then Spokane is a city in the midst of a fabulous nature, in the amazing Washington State.

The hotel is great. Location, quiet, clean rooms and friendly staff. We have stayed here twice in 2022 and one thing has been disappointing both times, breakfast. They have a Starbucks in the lobby. Coffee is typical but the food is horrible. First stay had one of their egg dishes. Way overcooked. Today tried to be smart and just had Croissants. They were white bread baked to look like a Croissant. No butter came near them. I wondered why I was offered butter (twice) and now I know. Don’t know if this is typical for Starbucks or a hotel issue. Next time I will walk to breakfast!

Reviews From Real Travelers
We had reservations made through the hotel's website, but when we got there to check in at 3:30, we were told that our room wasn't ready. The staff member took my ID and credit card, looked me up, and then literally started yelling at me that there wasn't a room ready yet because they had been full the night before and were understaffed and unable to clean all the rooms in a timely manner. We did not understand why she was yelling at us, but when we asked when they would have a room for us she told us very angrily to come back in an hour. We returned at 5pm (check-in is supposed to be at 3) and had a very similar experience with a different staff member, who also got very belligerent with us and denied us a room after we stood in line and watched several others get their rooms. It was after 6pm when they finally gave us a room, and only because we did the online precheck in the hopes that it would secure us the next open room. It's unclear why the staff wouldn't do that for us (we had asked at 5:00 and got yelled at more), or at least explain to us that we needed to do online check-in if we wanted to get a room before 8pm that night. They were incredibly rude to us multiple times and treated us like we'd done something wrong even though it was absolutely their fault. We feel pretty strongly that if you can't staff your hotel it's probable that you are not paying your staff enough to attract workers. And either way, if you can't clean all your rooms, DON'T RENT THEM OUT. This problem should be the HOTEL”S problem, not the guests'. And no matter what, your staff should be trained to be apologetic when they can't do their job, not belligerent. Worst hotel experience I've ever had. After all that, the rooms were nothing special and the hotel was very noisy and difficult to sleep in because you hear every little footstep above you or door open and close in the hall.

Good service, great food, upscale feel without the expense. The patio is utterly gorgeous and literally on the river. The Spokane Arena and convention center are both 5-10 minutes walking distance as is the Riverfront Park complex and the heart of the downtown food district. Very nice, clean rooms with sleek modern styling. Can't go wrong.
