This time, my girlfriend and I chose to celebrate a special day of love at the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen in Beijing. I had heard that Qianmen MO ranked 14th in the 2026 World Top 50 Hotels, so we decided to experience it ourselves. To summarize: Hotel Service - full marks; Cultural Experience - full marks; Hotel Decor - full marks. I communicated our check-in time with the butler in advance. Upon arrival, the Director of Housekeeping, our butler, the doorman, and about 5 other staff members greeted us warmly with a bouquet of roses. From that moment on, whether it was the decor evoking old Beijing hutongs or the warm welcome service, I immediately fell deeply in love with it. Once we entered the room, the special occasion decorations and welcome amenities were all perfectly arranged. I'd like to specially commend our butler, Miss Melody. She truly treated us with sincerity and meticulously met our needs. From booking Ten Triggers Bar to arranging transportation, breakfast requests, and late check-out, everything was communicated through a dedicated WeChat group and arranged perfectly in advance. Many thanks! Regarding the stay experience, this was my first time staying in a hotel with a private courtyard. We stayed at Dongcheng Caocang 3 Tiao, and the entire small courtyard was ours. I even felt like I had a home in Beijing, a siheyuan of my own. (On a side note, the butler told us we were very lucky to be staying in the same room where Dylan Wang once stayed). It was a perfect, happy, and unforgettable stay. I hope to return here again for another stay on a snowy winter day.

Our stay was excellent. The room had a view of the Liangma River, and I assume every room offers a different angle of the river. The room was private and quiet, and impeccably clean. The turndown service, which included homemade drinks in a thermos, was a thoughtful touch. The breakfast selection was vast; we tried both Chinese and American options, and both were delicious. Our butler, Bitty, provided exceptional service from check-in, always responsive to our needs and checking in on our family daily. We received complimentary fruit and dessert upon arrival, and snacks were delivered to our room every evening. Overall, the service was incredibly attentive. We will definitely choose the Bulgari Hotel again on our next visit to Beijing.

This was my second stay at The Chedi. My last visit was before the floods, and it's still just as perfect. The customer service contacted me in advance and added me to a WeChat group. For my wife's birthday, they sent sparkling wine to the room, and when we ordered dinner at Rongfu Yan, they even included longevity noodles. My wife was very pleased, thank you! I heard that The Chedi ranks second among luxury wilderness hotels in China, with The Banyan Tree Lijiang being first. I've been to The Banyan Tree as well, and personally, I don't think it compares to The Chedi. I'll definitely be returning to The Chedi again.

This hotel offers a very comfortable stay. The room facilities are well-maintained, the breakfast is delicious, the bar serves amazing drinks, and the location is superb. More importantly, the service is exceptionally good. The hotel staff are very attentive to guests' requests and feedback, and you can tell they work hard to provide a comfortable, pleasant, and satisfying stay. Stena, Osgood, Lina, Yulia, Mavis, and housekeeping staff Fen Fen are all warm, friendly, and professional.

The hotel, formerly the **** at Summer Palace, opened in 2008. The service is exceptional; staff are attentive throughout and seem to recognize guests. Before my stay, I inquired about the hotel and they kindly upgraded me to a courtyard room for free. The room itself is beautifully styled, and the garden within the quadrangle is lovely. However, I did encounter a minor issue during check-in. Upon returning to my room one evening, I found a gecko on the wall by the bed. After an unsuccessful attempt to catch it, the hotel moved me to a suite, but there was no further action or apology for the inconvenience. The hotel breakfast is excellent, entirely à la carte, with first-rate service, attitude, and taste. That said, the hotel facilities are quite old, especially the bathroom – the showerhead was difficult to use, and the floor drain was slightly clogged. I also used the in-room dining service for dinner; there's a 15% service charge, and the food was decent.

The location is superb, allowing for easy strolls along Wangfujing Street anytime. The modern hotel, adorned with a classically charming entrance, truly stands out. I especially loved the spacious walk-in closet in the room, perfect for families to store their luggage! The bathroom fixtures were also exactly to my taste. The hotel staff were all incredibly enthusiastic, making us feel very much at home despite traveling from afar. When we needed an iron for the room that evening, the housekeeping staff promptly delivered it, set it up, and ensured it was ready for our use – exceptionally efficient. Furthermore, the breakfast offered unique Beijing specialties, and I was particularly delighted by the presentation of the breakfast tea, served in an English silver tea set, adding a wonderful sense of ritual. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have savored every moment! I will definitely stay here again next time!

Having stayed at Rosewood Beijing, I now understand what 'understated luxury' truly means. Located in the heart of the CBD, yet hidden behind lush greenery, it's a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The charm of Rosewood Beijing is subtle and just right. When checking out, I thought to myself, this truly embodies 'a home away from home' – you don't feel the constant need to be a 'guest' here. Whenever I visit Beijing, I almost always choose to stay here; it's become my go-to hotel. This stay was, once again, very satisfying, especially the one-on-one butler service, which was incredibly thoughtful. A big thank you to Claire and Willow; they took excellent care of us from check-in to check-out, with efficient and considerate communication. They also went the extra mile to upgrade our room type this time. The room was very spacious, clean, and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The overall hotel service was consistently excellent, as always, with great attention to detail. You can really feel the professionalism and dedication of the staff. For someone who stays in hotels frequently, this kind of consistent, comfortable, and unobtrusive service is truly rare. It's a must-stay every time I come to Beijing; there's no need to even consider other options anymore. Thank you, Claire and Willow. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Beijing.

The hotel's location is excellent, the room is quite spacious, and the soft furnishings are tastefully chosen. Although it was advertised as a room with a Forbidden City view, there's a 9-story building not far away that severely obstructs the view. Perhaps the view would be better on the 8th floor. The hotel is a bit old; some outlets and buttons are unstable. The mini-fridge had Coke, Sprite, and Mirinda, but when I asked for sparkling water, I was told they didn't have any. Other than that, the experience was good. The desk snacks were hawthorn freeze-dried fruit, the turndown gift was a sachet, and the weather card featured photos taken by hotel staff – all very unique touches. There was an ample supply of bottled water, and the semi-buffet breakfast offered a rich selection. All the staff I encountered were highly professional, polite, and attentive, without exception, from the concierge to the front desk, housekeeping, and restaurant. The only thing I found off-putting was the public relations department contacting me after checkout, asking for a five-star review screenshot in exchange for a gift. This significantly lowered the almost perfect impression I had formed.

A butler was waiting for us while we parked, showing exceptional service. Upon checking in at the lobby, we were offered complimentary snacks and drinks. To my delight, they upgraded our room for free, allowing for a better view of Yanqi Lake. The room table had fruit and wine, and the butler had even prepared aromatherapy. Surprisingly, the bathroom floor was also thoughtfully equipped with a non-slip mat. The butler also brought our luggage to our room, and to my surprise, given the slightly chilly temperature, they even brought down a warm coat from the car – incredibly considerate! We had initially mentioned needing to get our luggage, but only remembered when they went to retrieve it, and then they thoughtfully brought us the warm coat! We also participated in an afternoon cultural tour, which provided a deeper understanding of the hotel's design style and philosophy. The food was excellent, and the hotel facilities, cleanliness, and environment were superb! Not to mention the butler's service – it was exceptional! I highly recommend this hotel to families visiting Yanqi Lake. If we go again in the future, we will definitely choose Yanbai Mountain Villa again!
