Environmentally friendly, this small hotel is not worth recommending.

THIS PLACE IS BED BUG INFESTED AND WHEN YOU TELL THEM ABOUT THE BUGS THEY SAY THEY DONT HAVE THEM !!! THE WHOLE PLACE SMELLS LIKE SMOKE AND THE SHEETS AND PILLOW CASES ARE DIRTY…. ALSO ROACHES WERE IN THE SHOWER!!!I WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN!!!!!!

Found more than one hair in tub in first room they gave me. Found one grown cockroach & several babies in 2nd room. Wish I had taken pics. Just wanted out of there.

Dirty, smelly, old and not well taken care of and staff was not professional looking nor acting. Very disappointed

A no frill hotel with mountain view. The check in staff was a bit too curt, a little smile wouldn't hurt miss. There were some smell when we entered the room. Room needs some freshen up. Breakfast was meh but the coffee was excellent! It was what we expected from a budget hotel. A room to sleep after a long day.

Nothing fancy, but better than your average Super 8. Friendly evening desk staff. Room as advertised. Comfortable bed. Very convenient and surprisingly quiet location just off the Interstate. Good budget weeknight price. Needed a good night sleep and had one. Would stay again.

Close proximity to our conference but nothing special about it. AC/Heating filter was covered in dust. the room was just OK re: cleanliness. There was actually breakfast items, though the only protein was the light containers of yogurt. Who can live on carbs!?!?! I heard the coffee was pretty bad too. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!!! Black mold in the vents mold coming out of the faucets with the water. Room doors that don’t close or lock. Dirty sheets, unmade beds upon checking in. Dirty floors. This whole building is a health code violation

Quiet and clean hotel. Check in and out went well and was done in professional and friendly manner. The cost of my stay was good compared to other areas hotels and I didn't lack any necessary items. There was a lot of eating establishments right around the hotel. Overall, a very good stay.

Location is fine, easy access to restaurants etc. The layout of the room was fine, the beds were comfortable having lots of pillows and the shower had lots of hot water when needed. The breakfast had the obligatory waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, coffee and orange juice and was fine. The desk staff was attentive answering questions as required.. We would stay here again.

We stayed here for several nights. Thankfully, we checked in early enough the first night to change rooms because the first room had a funky smell, but the 2nd room was great. When we checked in, we we wary because there were people sitting outside the back door drinking beers, but over our stay we didn't hear anything that made us uncomfortable--it may just have been people enjoying fine weather at the end of the day. Breakfast was super basic with virtually no protein. There were waffles, Raisin Bran, Frosted Flakes, muffins, envelopes of oatmeal, yogurt, bananas, coffee, juice. The beds were comfortable enough but our mattresses will need to be replaced soon. Our room and public spaces were clean, and the employee at breakfast was super fast wiping tables as people left the breakfast room. Despite our wariness at check-in, the hotel was actually pretty quiet.

Honestly this hotel is fine, you can see the mountains from the parking lot, no frills but nice place to stop and sleep. The three stars is for the extremely unwelcoming lobby. You walk in and there's signage all over the desk area that's basically a big list of people they will not allow to stay - from various towns in the area. I have worked for multiple hotels for multiple corporations (IHG and Wyndham) so I understand that sometimes locals cause problems, but just take a deposit returnable on checkout. I like to stay places that support their local community and this hotel makes it VERY clear that if you're anywhere near them you cannot stay there. At my current job I often stay in hotels just an hour from my house and I'm glad I have not encountered anywhere so unwelcome to their own community as this place is. Fortunately for me, I live 700 miles away so was deemed acceptable to sleep in their slightly odd smelling room with a weird radiator and old cigarette burn marks on the recliner (it was nice though to have a recliner)

This Super 8 is a great location for getting around the different areas of Altoona! Have been here several times. Breakfast is usually good but they stopped serving the microwaveable croissants this trip so was disappointed. Only hotel we have ever found with a recliner in the room! Great plus for those of us with bad backs. Unfortunately, the recliner this time was hardly sleepable and definitely needed replaced since it was in sad shape. Staff always pleasant and friendly!
