Really cosy B & B in beautiful Teesdale. Everything thought about for your stay including fresh fruit in your room and an Easter Egg which was a fantastic touch. Lovely home cooked breakfast. The host is always on hand for any requests you might have.

This B&B retains the character and charm of older times while providing modern facilities and the cleanliness is second to none. I loved the open fire in the lounge. The beds, duvet and pillows were high quality and afforded a great nights sleep. The breakfast menu was plentiful. I chose the Full English and it was the best I have ever had. Andrew is a lovely host. I will definitely stay there again and I hope it will be soon.

The bedroom was cosy, warm and inviting. Shortbread cookies and fruit basket. Little fridge had sparkling and still water. No milk cartons thankfully but a bottle of milk was supplied. Bed was super comfy and pillows plump. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of choice, better than some 5* rated hotels. Will definitely return here had the best night sleep ever !

Excellent stay last night. Everything we could have wished for a warm, quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay. The owners attention to detail is phenomenal, everything we need was provided and of exceptional quality, we would certainly return. Breakfast choices were amazing, our choice was fresh, beautifully cooked and nothing spared even though we were his only guests For the evening. It’s lovely to see someone work to an exception standard with pride in what he does. Thank you.

We unfortunately only stayed one night during our Pennines Way hike. After staying in 10 different accommodations from B&B to hotel on the way. This one stuck out for having a really nice bedroom, very clean and beautifully decorated. Small, but very nice bathroom. Tea and Coffee facility, complimentary water, fresh milk and fruit on arrival. Bed was really great too, we slept like a log. Andrew who runs it was really helpful and friendly. You can sit in the lounge, have drinks from the bar or just chill in your room. Breakfast was just soooooo good. Andrew prepares it fresh and the buffet has all you want too. 12 out of 10 is all I can say. We will certainly revisit next year.

Really good breakfast, room comfortable but tight squeeze for shower. Early awakening by farmers beginning their harvesting. lol

A lovely B&B, in which I had the pleasure of staying for 5 nights during the first week in September. I had a nice comfortable double room with en suite bathroom, and Andrew was a great host. The breakfasts were to die for! Would certainly return to this B&B next time I come to the North Pennines.

I stayed for one night at this lovely B&B, I'm a solo traveller, so feeling comfortable and safe is paramount and had absolutely no worries staying here. I met by Andrew who was extremely welcoming. My room was really lovely, absolutely spotless and I liked the small touches that make such a difference, an individual teapot, complimentary milk, water, fruit, mints, and yummy homemade biscuits, as well as nice toiletries. The room was decorated beautifully as was the rest of this very old building! It's certainly well loved. The bed was comfortable and the outlets have USB points, which are very handy for charging devices. Hairdryer, fridge, iron, and dressing gowns too A cosy lounge was available ,and a small bar provided a range of drinks. Breakfast was very good, good range and the breakfast room again was lovely and the table set immaculately. The location is really nice, I stayed for an event at High Force Waterfalls, which was a short drive, and the village itself is very quaint. Although a carpark is provided, the drive is very narrow , so i parked on the road outside, but no issues, really. As this is a very old building, obviously noise can travel, and whilst I slept ok, the noise from the kitchen below travelled through early morning , fortunately I was already awake, but I was aware of a tv/ radio but not sure if this was from there or another guest, however like I said, it is an old building so that can be expected. Travelling with earplugs is recommended wherever you go ! But all in all, a lovely, comfortable stay. Beautiful room, great food, and hospitality.
