Hofsas House Hotel Reviews

It was a nice hotel the pool is heated. The breakfast says continental but it really just pastries, fruit and juice but it was good still. Be aware there is no microwave at least not in the room we got and the doors use old fashioned keys instead of key cards and have to locked by pushing the button on the inside when leaving a mistake we didn't realize till later. Otherwise its a nice hotel and a short walk into town.

This hotel is located at the back of Carmel's main street, but it's only a hundred or two hundred meters away. There's no pressure to eat at night. There are street lights everywhere. It's quite safe. The room is super big. It's completely satisfying to go to the beach to watch the sunset and then to the hotel. Check in, just a few minutes drive

Very old property with so many stairs. Much like many older European hotels and everything is dated. I would not return.

The coffee in morning is great. Very nice as from coffee shop. But The property is old . Need a lot of update. The drive way is narrow, the room need more Electric plug socket. The shower head need change The water come out is too harsh . The mattress kind of old. Not very comfortable. Are you?

Nice and close to all the Carmel action. But in a quiet little corner. Very safe and comfortable.

There were several plugs that weren’t functioning in the room. It’s an old building but extremely charming and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that the plugs weren’t working I stay here often and never had a problem before.

It was a cute hotel and 15 minutes walking distance from the beach. Beds and sheets are old but it was clean. No need to pay extra for sea view because it's far distance. Overall, my husband and I had a good stay

Great little find in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Near many shops and restaurants. It's a steal of a deal considering the price... Surrounded by many MUCH more expensive options. Even has a little kitchen with a microwave, full size fridge-freezer, and a dining table for two. If you want to spend a few days in the Carmel area, this would be a great place to rest your head!

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Also the staff were friendly

Our stay at the Hofsas House Hotel was great! Staff was friendly,kind and helpful. They gave us a map of the restraunts, shops, and historical places near by which was super helpful. The pool was great, and we enjoyed the heated swimming pool. The sauna was also super nice and relaxing. Our room was great and came with a mini fridge for all our beverages and snacks. This hotel has so many great restraunts near by which re all short walk away. Beware though it’s hard to find parking, especially in the evening so I’d recommend getting there earlier. Overall our stay was great!

This hotel is like a throw back to the 1950's-1960's. It is clean and the staff is very friendly. It is VERY convenient to downtown Carmel - you can walk easily to almost anywhere you want to go. Some of the less that positive thoughts - We were surprised by the bathroom where the countertop was extremely low and the mattress was sub par (lumpy).

Quirky and quaint, this is a lovely hotel. We had a lovely stay - the staff are very friendly and accommodating, the room very comfortable and spacious, and the location is very convenient in Carmel. I would highly recommend the Hofsas House Hotel.
