The Curran court hotel, is a lovely little place literally 2 minutes drive from Larne port, there is a large car park for patrons, it seems to be a smallish hotel, maybe 30 rooms or so, price wise it is very affordable, my stay was cheaper for 5 nights than a Premier inn, and brekkie was included, cereal and toast are help yourself, but Ulster frys were cooked to order and served by the breakfast staff, and yes, they were definitely Ulster frys, brekkie took place in the adjoining bar/restaurant called Katy Jane's,evening meals were also served here, I didn't go down for meals, as I was out for dinner a few nights with family, but did have room service a couple of times and I cannot fault the quality of the food, nor the time between ordering and receiving. The bar has live music on a Friday, I didn't experience this as I checked out Friday A.M. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from Larne's Asda for secret room snackage, also 2 minutes from the local KFC ( Macdonalds is a 5 minute drive) and also opposite a local petrol station, so you can fill up before going exploring. It's an excellent base for getting to Belfast ( about 30 minutes straight down the A8 which is right on your doorstep) and the attractions there, or for the spectacular Glenn's of Antrim and their breathtaking scenery, the quarry used for Game of Thrones is 3 or 4 miles away, i don't think it is open yo the public, but I know tour buses pass it whilst doing the GoT tours on the way up to the north Antrim coast for other sites. It is also an excellent base for the scenic coast road running north out of Larne, The Gobbins cliff walk, and the Rhinka for its ice cream, both about a 10 minute drive. The rooms are spacious and airy, a good size bathroom and walk in shower, towels changed daily and bed remade, I think they only change the sheets if requested, I spilled a bit of choccie on my duvet and the mark was there all week(remember Asda room snackage😁) I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay, it is several steps up from a Premier, is good for families, and as I mentioned, certainly for me cheaper. The hotel appears nice and clean, well kept and presented , and the staff are welcoming and friendly, always ready to help. Downsides, no fridges in rooms, but I can't really hold that against them. Not many hotels provide this unless you are paying a chunk more per night, the aforementioned port HGV entrance, and the start of the A8 which runs straight out of the port and up to Belfast were right outside my bedroom, didn't even notice, then again the ferries are only about every 4 hours, but again there was little to no noise and no inconvenience at all, slept the sleep of the righteous. Yes, I would definitely recommend this as a base to explore county Antrim and further afield. I will definitely be looking to stay here again when I visit

A very pleasant surprised with great service and detail from checking in to checking out. The review is based my expectations of value for money, service and experience. Car parking, plenty of spaces. Got to the hotel earlier than I expected and thought I would ask if I could check in to drop my bag off. No problem and I was away to my room. The hotel is very well maintained and looked after and cared for....unlike most low cost hotels I've stayed in. With my pass key in hand I headed off to my room. What a very nice room it was…...like most people I look at the photos and think....yeah ok you've shown me the best room that you have.....got to say my room was exactly like the photos and more....the size of the room was huge and big enough for 2 double or 4 singles. plenty of storage and well equipped....even a safe ( which is free of charge) and was clean and spotless throughout. One really nice touch for me was a typed note from the hotel giving me a warm welcome...now that's ok...but the special little touch was handwritten name address to me on the note ( little things mean a lot). The bathroom had plenty of room to move about in, unlike some hotels when your knees are pressed against the door......great walk-in shower and plenty of toiletries. Now please remember where the hotel is....one side is great views of the bay on the other is the Asda. which to me was not a problem as I was not there to look out the window, road noise was not a issue as it’s not a busy road and the hotel is set back off the road anyway. The room gets 5 stars from me. Bar area and restaurant...tastefully decorated, comfy and plenty of room with a good choice of drinks and food. You can drink and dine in the bar or restaurant...it’s up to you. A compact menu with a good choice to cover all your needs and a daily special....including a good old roast....may have that next time, again good value for money. My meal very tasty and filling……I went for the rump steak......wow...one of the best steaks I've had for ages....cooked as requested. After a good night's sleep...I was showered and went for breakfast....a good range of continental breakfast goods and a very nice cooked menu if you wish......yep I went all out and had the full fry up... Check out was smooth...wish I could have stayed longer...lol, Lastly, I don't recall all the member of staff names (sorry) but I'm going to say SMILES. Throughout my stay I can honestly say every person I encountered was smiling...not sure if it’s the water or the just the love of working at the hotel.....but unlike some hotels.....smiles can be force....these were not. Thanks and I'll be over again.

It was a Mother's Day treat on Sunday where my daughter treated me to a meal in the Curran Court. It was lovely to see families out celebrating the special day. Amazing a**osphere where the staff were exceptionally courteous, professional, attentive and charming which is praise itself as it was one of the busiest times off the year. Appetising food, cleanliness throughout and quality time with my daughter made it a perfect day. Just so you know I was so full the cake was not mine

We had a great overnight stay - room was clean and a lovely bathroom. Couldn’t fault it at all. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Even with 2 large parties in for birthdays, this didn’t affect the food or service for the rest of the diners. Great Irish cooked breakfast although breakfast only served to 9:30am, were most establishments would be to 10/10:30. Just a couple of wee notes (but not devastating to ruin anything) we had problems with our bedroom door passes with frequent trips back and forward to reception to try and resolve matters. Batteries not working in the TV remote so it was left to reception and never got it back lol. Would highly recommend if you’re catching a ferry back or forward to Scotland and you’ve an early start.

Booked the Curran Court months in advance for a family Xmas dinner and it didn’t disappoint. Met on arrival in reception by Prosecco or soft drink then promptly shown to our seats. Once we’d ordered some table drinks we had our choice of starters out of this 5 course meal. Couldn’t fault the staff who were very friendly and very efficient and in turn a real credit to the hotel. The food was as good as home made and the time between course servings was perfect. No feeling of being rushed or hurried which all added to the cosy family feel of the place. Added to this there was a wrapped toy for each of the two kids in our party of 9 which was a really nice touch. We’ll be booking again for next Xmas without a doubt! Hats off to the staff of the Curran Court you absolutely nailed it as I’m sure all of your customers would agree! Many thanks

This is the forth time we have stayed and the standard has been excellent each time. Especially the cleanliness, everything is spotless and well maintained. Also, considering its busy location, we have never had an issue with noise, either ftom outside or within the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst on a trip to watch Larne FC. From a warm welcome, to fantastic and friendly service throughout our stay, I would recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was first class.
