It’s very noisy but there is eye plugs provided. The shower is very clean and the bed is comfortable. Only thing that can hear all the cars and trucks. Also can hear the next room. The reception is very friendly. The room is a bit old, but all good for everything.

A comfortable room, internet TV, good shower though the high step over to enter shower is not very good for elderly. Nice bed, pool etc. Chrystal was nice and welcoming.

I read less reviews, so I will write more details. First of all, because it is a motel, I don't have high expectations. At first, I only hoped that it would be clean. As a result, after moving in, not only the house is very quiet, but also there are no bugs, and the Internet speed is also very fast. It is very good in motel. Speaking of shortcomings, one is that the air conditioner is very noisy, and the second is that there will be the sound of cars on the roadside, but if you live in a motel, the noise of cars is understandable and acceptable.

Great little hotel for an overnight stop. Clean and tidy. Everything you need. But so so loud. Unfortunately we had the room closest to the highway and the noise from trucks all night was crazy.

We will not use it again. Reported door catch which caught my tee shirt ripping - it very sharp. Mentioned to staff and reception - very indifferent. Very very noisy - such that they provided ear plugs - and paid $20 extra to secure ground floor room, Rip off. Will not recommend and never use again.

Property is adjacent to the highway running through Coffs. HGVs run past the property and our room was at the end of the "block", just 20 metres from the road. It was noisy. Other rooms further away may not have had this problem. Ear plugs were supplied (thus recognising that there is a noise problem) but the other observation of the area is that there are a lot of motels on the same street. Most seemed to be a little further back than the end room we had at the Matador. The room size was good. The air con worked beautifully after a hot day in the car and the pool was nice and refreshing for a cool down.

Near the junction of busy intersections, so lots of traffic noises. Otherwise good value for money. Friendly host.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I had to delay a booking for one night very late in the day because of a family issue and they were totally understanding. This place is ideal for a quick overnight stop, being right next door to the highway. Great motel.

Upon arriving was greeted by Crystal on reception who was absolutely delightful. She couldn’t have been more helpful she showed us our room and explained how everything worked even offered assistance with our luggage if we needed as my husband has trouble walking. Would definitely stay there again.

Understand that the highway is nearby but very very noisy all night with trucks

The staff are very friendly and helpful..loved the pod coffee machine as I’m not a fan of instant coffee!

Clean, private, bathroom a little small. Taps hard to stop dripping water. Overall a beautiful room and a very enjoyable overnight stay.

The Matador was a convenient overnight stop for us passing through. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. It’s not the flashiest or most modern property but the price was relevant to our needs.
