Melia Cozumel All Inclusive Reviews

There is not a lot around the area besides being able to walk to the Lobster House. But when we have walked felt safe and a nice walk.

We love the Melia we have been going there for 9 years now and got married there. The staff is incredible, and the resort is always doing upgrades. We will be back next year.

The wait staff was 5 star amazing! The front desk was rude on ck in and downgraded my room to b closer to those we were travelling with, which was not what we wanted. The man at the frt desk did finally put us back in the upgraded room but i had to sign a "free upgrade" form. Ridiculous

Property was clean and staff was very friendly. Would have liked easy access to coffee and water, seem to be lacking. Had an issue with our air conditioning not being able to raise the temp so was freezing in our room if we used it. Also our tv remote did not work asked twice for a new one was told they would file a report and would have one soon but never happen. Food was subpar but didn’t go hungry. Overall our stay was good, great beach area with plenty of chairs available and awesome staff.

The staff are exceptionally friendly & professional. Especially: DIEGO, Adrian, Daniel, umberto,Francisco, Adrana( from Fish house). Our concierge Alfonso was great! Beach is WONDERFUL, no rocks in the water, Pristine& white powder sand. Not a fan of needing reservations to eat at the restaurants

The staff was very very nice and accommodating. It was very relaxing and in general a nice place to stay. 10 minutes from downtown shopping, in my opinion, the perfect distance and only a $10 taxi drive.

Loved the location of the room, overlooking the beach. The beach and water were beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay at Meliá! It was referred to me by a friend, and I was shocked how affordable it was, being the it was an all inclusive. I was a little nervous, but pleasantly surprised! It was just my husband and I that went. The staff is super accommodating and kind. The property is beautiful, clean, and not too big but not too small. Some reviewers said the ocean was had too much seaweed in it and you couldn’t swim, but that wasn’t the case at all. There were some days with more seaweed, but you could always see beautiful clear water! We enjoyed the food. It wasn’t anything over the top special, but we always had a good meal and several options! We would definitely stay here again!! So much bang for your buck!

We just returned from a week at Melia. Check-in was seamless, and we were thrilled with our room assignment - 210 Oceanfront. The room was nothing fancy but fine. Loved the water pressure in the shower. The fridge was stocked, and plenty of bottled water was always on hand. I would say the food was average at best. The buffet was okay - always a long wait for the omelet or special of the day station (only one cook). We ate at the Mexican restaurant our first night - not impressed. That spot doubles as the daily place for food throughout the day - nachos, salad, burgers, hotdogs, wings, etc. We ate there many times. Again, pretty average. The beach bar was convenient, but again disappointing in that you can only get certain liquors if you're not a Level guest. Ex: you cannot get Malibu, Absolute, Jack Daniels, etc. You also have one beer choice - tap Dos Equis. We would have killed for a bottle of Corona or a can of anything! The Fish House - our best meal on site of the week. The beach and the ocean are what we came for - and neither disappointed. We had seaweed for two days, but it wasn't horrible. The Super Bowl party was great! I was one of the guests who got food poisoning last week. Missed 2.5 days of "all-inclusive." My best guess is it may have come from the hand washing of the drink cups - not run through the dishwasher - but not sure exactly. Such a bummer, but I know this happens at most resorts. It's a lovely resort. Just not luxury - if that's what you want.

Close to airport and town for shopping, nice beach, safe & quiet area, clean rooms, Staff very attentive especially Adrian and Eddy. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was great. Staff, room, food and even the guest are nice too. The beach was clean and great. Drinks and bartenders were nice.

Clean.it is an older property. Do Not Pass it by. The beach is gorgeous. When seaweed comes in they work hard to clean it. They worked hard on keeping the area clean including outdoor tiles. I will be back. The only negative thing is it is Difficult to get dinner reservations. I would want to dine in restaurant and not buffet. I cook almost everday and I want someone to accommodate me at dinner. I do not like dinner buffet. I love the location and staff. Also CNN is the only English Channel. I wish they had more English channels

I really enjoyed the layout of the property and they went all out with snacks and decorations for the superbowl.

My only complaint is of the way smokers are treated, one area next to the road in front is inadequate and made us feel like kids sneaking a cigarette. We went off property on the beach also, but I'm told other resorts are more tolerant, as are the bars in San Miguel. We received a notice on our door that it smelled like smoke in the room, which we never do. Explained to the manager and that was the end of it, but making guests feel badly is not a good policy.
