Great place and view. Highly recommended. Breakfast is okay. A bus station right in front of it to go seven sisters.

Everything in this hotel is old, dated. The building, the staff, the food and the beverages. To get a good housekeeping is a los t battle

Uncomfortable beds, could feel the springs. Dirty net curtains. Tired bathroom. Makeshift Maintenance, needs proper finishing of rooms

The Cumberland is a charming old hotel. Friendly staff on arrival. Easy check in and in my case, a bargain room price. Although rather dated, the room was clean, tidy & comfortable. Possibly needs a new mattress, some minor paintwork & an extra socket or two. Sound proofing not great but really not bad. I liked it there; I’ll stay again.

Although this hotel is dated I really enjoyed my stay. My room was clean and everything worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. I have paid more for worse

The rooms were very old and dated the bed was really uncomfortable lumpy mattress and creaky.

We came down to Eastbourne for 4 days of the tennis tournament and chose this hotel for the proximity to the tennis courts (10 minutes walk). We were not disappointed with the choice. We had a large recently refurbished room with a balcony and wonderful sea view. The beds were really comfortable. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with hot and cold choices of food and beverages. The staff were extremely courteous at all times. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay in Eastbourne.

Good value sea view room. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Room was lovely and clean, with comfy bed. Common areas of the hotel could do with an update. Breakfast ok but could have been better for the price.

I booked the room for a night and to be fair it was a nice room. I had sea view from the window but it wasn't of much use as one cannot really enjoy the view. You'll need to keep standing to see the view. I guess the hotel could have made use of a better planner in how to design the room. However, it was a good time.

The Cumberland hotel, like a lot of hotels asking the sea front is a little tired in places. However we got a cheap stay in a clean hotel with attentive service, so are pleased.

I was overall impressed with the hotel. In a great location, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The single room was fine and had a fabulous sea view. Only downside was the shower, which wasn't very good in terms of output and the head dropped down. Lovely having a drink overlooking the road/seafront.

Stay was good had a lovely room only down side was i booked two rooms with shared balcony one rooms was large and very nice the other was tiny and nothing looke the other room but both rooms were same price

Whilst the room was as listed, accessible, it was not completelt disability friendly. The toilet needed a bar on both sides to aid sitting and riding, not just on thd wall. The shower room would have been better with an extra bar to hold on to znd somewhere to sit in thd bathroom area to dry oneself was not available - these are sll things yhat make it eadier and safer to cope.
