The internal facilities of the room are average, equivalent to 100-300 express hotels in China... The hotel is a 5-minute drive from the airport, and there is a pick-up and drop-off service. The types of breakfast are acceptable. On the verge of Lake Victoria, the scenery is very good, but there are a lot of bugs... Original ecology, nature...

The hotel is fully furnished and the surrounding environment is beautiful. The rooms are well designed and very comfortable. You can live comfortably.

Great experience at Protea Marriott Entebbe, very close stay to the airport so very convenient, nice facilities at the location, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful I really enjoyed the stay! Special thank you to James, Patrick and Florence for all their help !

I have been in Uganda for almost 2 weeks in different hotels and this hotel has the worst service so far esp the bartenders by the pool. Arrogant and rude like their doing you a service. And they all hang out together like their friends rather than actually servicing people. Totally turn off

A very comfortable hotel - quiet, immaculate, air conditioned rooms, that have lovely balconies with amazing views over the lake. The grounds are beautiful with a nice pool, and path and benches along the waterfront where you can sit and watch pied kingfishers, fish eagles, herons, and other birds. The hotel and restaurant staff are terrific - welcoming, professional, and very effective. A special mention goes to the folks who work in the laundry - our clothes came back better than new. Breakfast is buffet style with eggs cooked to order. The baked goods, hot dishes, and fresh fruit were all beautifully prepared and very tasty. The dining patio is pleasant with shady or sunny tables available most of the day. There are some useful small shops in the lobby, including one with a good selection of locally made crafts. We really enjoyed our stay here - felt very much at home and it made a perfect base for our trips to see the Shoebills, Grey Crowned Cranes, and other birds of Mabamba Swamp and to the Botanic Gardens for rich bird life, and beautiful Black and White Colobus monkeys.

Very good location near Entebbe airport. Rooms were ok, shower was very nice. Bugs/flies got into the room at night and made it very hard to sleep.

First of all I was very happy with the hotel and staff. It is gated and it is safe and it is clean, Free breakfast and an airport courtesy shuttle were a bonus. You’re 5 minutes from the airport which is great if your flight gets in after midnight like mine did v Now here’s the Marriott part: They don’t tell you this when you book your stay, either thru the BonVoy site or directly with the hotel giving them your BonVoy number, that you only earn elite night credit at the rate of one night for every two you stay and you earn points at the rate of five per dollar spent. If you’re a BonVoy member and those things are important to you, be warned!

The rooms are always sparkling clean, great meals and warm hosts. The chef is on point with regular change of meals. We stayed as a group for one week and non of our staff complained about meal monotony or lack of taste. The staff serve with smiles (James who attended to our meeting room and Judith Ajok in the restaurant. Keep it up Protea.

We consistently use the Protea when visiting Uganda. The management and staff treat us like family and frequently check in to make sure we are enjoying our stay. Grounds are gorgeous, rooms clean and inviting, massage therapists excellent, breakfast buffet terrific. Will always choose this quiet airport location. Yes, during rainy season, the Lake Victoria lake flies are annoying, but the hotel staff are diligent about keeping after them. Thanks for another great stay.

We stayed at this hotel this year in September, it was our first time at this hotel and we had a most enjoyable stay. Very clean spacious rooms with modern fittings. The staff are so polite well mannered and professional. Very good wifi. Excellent facilities including gym, sauna / steam room. Beautiful view of the Lake Victoria. The hotel is only 5 min from Entebbe airport. The hotel shuttle service picked us up from the airport and also took us back to the airport for our flight back. The breakfast buffet has so much variety that every nationality can enjoy. There is also so much choice on the dinner menu. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a first class experience. Well done Protea!

Great location for easy airport travel. I pre-booked the shuttle and a driver was there waiting for me right on time, and same for going back. Management provided an automatic upgrade from status without even asking. Bar service was good both inside and pool side. I thought that the restaurant's pizza was perfectly fine, especially since there aren't many other options around. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful lake views. Naturally, the bugs can get bad out there but you can easily avoid that if you wish as well.

Excellent welcome from the front desk team, in particular, Frank. My elite status was recognised and rewarded with an upgrade to a magnificent suite both times I stayed (on arrival and on departure). Airport is 5-10 mins away from hotel so incredibly convenient. Shuttle to and from the airport was prompt and appreciated. I have stayed in other hotels in Entebbe, but this is now my favourite. Lovely pool area overlooking the lake. Hotel is very well-organised yet makes you feel welcome and relaxed. Will most certainly stay again.

We had a very nice stay. The room and everywhere we went in the hotel was very clean. The staff were very kind, helpful, and professional. The outdoor dining was so relaxing, and the view of Lake Victoria was just amazing. I wish we could have stayed longer.
