This hotel is in a quiet town, near the river. It offers a swimming pool, and direct access to the river. The rooms are comfortable, and even though our room was facing the main road, it was very quiet because the village is not very busy in September. Breakfast was plentiful and well stocked.

Room looked like it had just been renovated. Biggest bed I have ever slept in. Great for a few nights because you can walk everywhere. The river is at the back of the hotel. Quiet village but with lots of options for dinner and drinks. Good breakfast in the morning and friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room.

The setting is wonderful. A great place to enjoy the beautiful mountains. The hotel was exactly what we needed. Spacious, clean and with very friendly staff.

Guest rooms and some public areas have been updated to give more of the hotel a contemporary feel. Location excellent of course. We booked a river view room: the view was great but you have to stand to see it. A room with balcony might be worth the extra cost, but there is a nicely furnished public outdoor terrace with views of the river and hills. Spacious room, spotless and recently decorated, walk in shower. Parking used to be free, now 5 (others had obviously found free street parking). Lift now reaches the car park and River Club level. Meals are slightly cheaper when booked with the room. Restaurant has been redecorated but still lacks any a**osphere. Breakfast is good for the price, but we would have enjoyed the bacon and omelette more if they were hot, or at least warm. Shower gel and soap (no shampoo) in small plastic packets, poor coffee and "juice" at breakfast: minor things but just seemed to be penny-pinching!

This hotel is probably the best hotel around. Clean and functional rooms, great view of the river, and good breakfast. However, some small details are a bit questionable. First, having to pay to use the safe in the room. Yet the hotel declines all responsibility in case of theft. Second being given the strictly minimum amount of soap possible. And third, having to pay extra to use the hotel pool. Just feels a bit cheap. Aside from this, very good option in Montanejos.

Disappointed, room smelt of smoke, someone had been smoking in the room, food was disappointing, like a child’s menu, breakfast didn’t open until 08.30, not very convenient if wanting to leave earlier. Swimming pool didn’t open until 12.30 , so no swimming before breakfast or check out.
