A really lovely hotel with lots of personal touches. Close to the station but easy to get into the centre of the city but very close to the Art Museums and beautiful parks. The room was spacious and well decorated with a good shower and very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. There is also a fitness centre and garden, I didn't use either but if I return I will make sure I do. There is also home made food to purchase, again I never tried this but it is good to know that it is available. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel close to the train station, within walking distance of the historic district. The breakfast was very good with lots of selections. The garden area is a nice place to sit and relax. The honour bar and food is a nice convenience. Very quiet.

Just after my arrival i had an accident, broke my arm, with Operation for a plate at GZ Gent. As well in the clinic, as at the hotel it was a quiet very nice experience of hospitality, empathy, awareness, helpfully moments. As I was handicapt, it was very comfortable to warm up some dishes, so we did‘t have the need to go out for dinner. Also it was very kind, that did‘t have tor pay the 2 breakfast, while I stayed at the clinic. In this case I recommend this hotel in total 100!

I absolutely enjoyed my 4 days at Astoria Gent. Friendly and helpful staff. Really good breakfast. Its not an oversized buffet but good quality products and homemade jam, chocolatespread. The rooms where fine and clean. I would like to come back at anytime.

Family run hotel in 2nd generation, currently managed by a pair of siblings who are nice, work hard and know what they are doing. The rooms, breakfast area and the little garden carries the spirit of the founders as well as the improvements made by the current managers. Everything was pleasant, but the buffet breakfast is a homemade work of art. They have an employee who clearly puts her passion into the breakfast every morning with homemade cookies, jam and yoghurt as well as little homemade signs. It's the most wonderful buffet breakfast I have ever had. I stayed for two nights and would absolute recommend this gem i Gent.

Decent hotel and is about 8 minutes walk from Gent St Peters railway station. Clean and decent place with a comfy bed and good bathroom. I would have no hesitation in staying here again so yes, nice find. Ghent itself is a really lovely city and only 30 minutes or so from Brussels by frequent trains.

We have stayed in Gent many times as we have family nearby. I can honestly say this was one of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in. We arrived late so was given an access code to enter and our key was waiting for us. Gorgeous room despite being across from the railway track we didn’t hear a thing. We visited the honesty bar/snacks which was nice for a nightcap. We would most definitely 💯 stay here again. Thank you 😊

BEWARE:: Hotel was booked for a business trip. I arrived at 20:30 to find the hotel locked. No one answered the door or telephone. I eventually found a tiny faded note stating that late arrivals are sent an access code as the staff go home at 8. I was not sent a code. I had to book another hotel and still pay both nights for this one as a 'no show' - I am sure if they look at their CCTV they will see me standing outside!!!!

Really enjoyed it, mainly as it was so quiet. Friendly staff to point me out to the town and gave me a map. Easy to walk anywhere and next to the main train station. I would stay there again.

Nice hotel located right next to the train station, which is great because it's easy to go in when you arrive, and not so great because the area isn't the best and walking back to the hotel at night wasn't the greatest or safest choice there. Despite being literally across the street from the trains, we didn't hear them in the room, which was simple but comfortable, and the breakfast was nice.

My wife and I thought the Astoria to be one of the best, if not the best, hotel we have stayed in. This because of the detail the Hotel has gone to cater for the needs of their guests. The hotel was even able to hire us bicycles during our stay in Ghent.

This hotel was great. Very close to the train station and the trams. The breakfast was plentiful and very good assortment of proteins including eggs. I loved the closed in porch with a view to the garden. I had a room called the Wonderful and it was. Fortunately, it was located on the ground floor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay here again.
