Words cannot describe the lack of attention to the basic standard of cleanliness of this establishment. The stench of stale cigarettes is waiting to welcome you as you enter the room. The growth of black mold on the bathroom ceiling is a sight to behold. BYO your own Windex if you are keen to utilise any of the smeared & splattered mirrors in the room & bathroom. Do not place anything on the vanity near the bathroom taps & basin as it is doubtful that any cleaning agent has been applied there since installation. There's an abundance of prior guests' public hair throughout the bathroom. It is fortunate that there's a pharmacy right nearby this hotel for you to purchase the Ibuprofen you'll need for your back after surviving the saggy old bed.

Great location although I was there on a Friday night and it was quite noisy. Easy walk to shops & restaurants, Info Centre etc. I have stayed in this motel several times over 8 years and it now needs a revamp and a good clean. The carpet in my room was dirty, the heater wasn't working and the extra blanket had a stain on it which I wasn't keen to investigate. Tub chair was comfy but grubby!

Unfortunately, the standard has slipped. The air conditioner looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned for years. The smoke detector has been removed, which makes the motel non compliant to Fire safety regulations.

We stayed two nights after our car had a mechanical failure and we were very happy with the service. The owners were very kind and helpful . The room was very clean and comfortable . The location was great right in town and close to restaurants. We would recommend this place

The motel requires considerable money spent on it to modernise and bring it up to contemporary [accessibility] standards. The only advantage to this motel is its proximity to Griffith's CBD. There is no allocated [accessible] parking, so its potluck if you park near your room. The reception is not accessible, and the only ramp from the carpark to the accessible room (room 110) is narrow, ill-defined and poorly maintained. Many of the features of the room are not accessible from a wheelchair (AC control, blinds, window in bathroom, clothes hangers) and the lack of powerpoints means charging a wheelchair is problematic. Overall, from a wheelchair perspective, there are several Griffith motels that cater to the mobility restricted guest far better than the Econo Lodge Motor Inn. However, the one staff member, Karen, was very helpful.

Comfortable, had everything we needed. Good location, close to shops and restaurants. Comfy bed, good shower, nice decor. Small sofa to sit on was nice. We were in Room 4, adjacent to car wash next door, quite noisy during the day - a room at rear of property may be less noisy. Hairdryer didn’t work, it looked very old.
