A surreal five star hotel with amazing staff! First and foremost, Vera at the reception went extra miles and made us feel right at home the moment we stepped into the door of the hotel. As always, it is the people that make buildings warm, and the staff like Vera are genuinely friendly, welcoming, efficient and extremely approachable, representing the marvellous culture of Portugal and the spirit of NAU hotels. Next, the hotel is very well-maintained, immaculate, generous in space, and spacious in the common areas and the rooms. Our beautiful suite room certainly has the heaven-like feel and touch. We really appreciated the great efforts and care put into the preparation of the room. The ambience like the swimming pools surrounded by palm trees is refreshing; it is located next to the sandy beach that extends miles without obstacles, and the raised path takes you over the natural fauna and flora and onto the beach. Together, one could not help feeling like being "melted" into nature, being oneness with nature. Otherwise, the food was carefully prepared - A comida esta deliciosa! Furthermore, the bar was spacious and well-designed; it has wide choices and its staff were friendly. Apart from amazing staff like Vera, this five star hotel is outstanding in another respect. I've stayed at many five star beach hotels but it is the only one that maintains its outside swimming pool to the highest hygienic standard. It manages to keep seagulls away from the swimming pools!!! The fouls from seagulls playing in the pools are certainly a hazard, but this hotel shows great care and devotes extra efforts in preventing this from happening. Another outstanding feature is the location of the hotel; it is ideal for star-gazing, and the starry sky never fails to strike awe. An Awesome hotel I've been twice and I will certainly return time and again!

Superb junior suite. Stayed here with my son and cannot fault this place. Staff were great. Accommodation was fantastic. Pool area was amazing as well as the grounds. We stayed for a golf break and course is just a short walk away. Breakfast choice was plentiful and freshly prepared, enough choice for every taste. Definitely recommend this hotel.

Family suites are very large for a family, however that's about the only positive thing. For a 5 star hotel I would of expected at least one of the outdoor pools to be heated but they weren't. Food breakfast ok, evening meal poor, not much choice and desserts were poor often the food was cold. Nothing to speak of for children. Playground poor for children one slide and two swings. This is certainly not a hotel to stay at with small children.

The property was great and the vicinity near the beach made our vacation so enjoyable. However, we rated it a 3 stars as when we checked in, we were given a pool side view suite (calling it a pool side view is generous, we were actually near the street parking). We paid for a sea view suite which was higher than the other suites, and the hotel manager did not mention why we did not get our sea view (the hotel was overbooked) until we complained about it. And when we move to a sea view suite the next morning, the manager told us that the switch actually costed the hotel additional cleaning expenses. What's wrong here?🤔 Should we not be compensated for the first night and the inconvenience instead? We didn't get an apology from the hotel and had we not complained about it, we would probably be left in a lower category suite for the rest of our stay. That's dishonesty on the hotel part.

Very good value for money - full breakfast

Nothing to do with kids. I was hoping for better playgrounds, other facilities to cater for little guests.

Don't get me wrong the hotel is 10/10 in such a beautiful place 20 min drive from the okd town which was lovley !! The beach on your door step drive from faro airport is about 40 mins the hotel was clean the staff are lovley and polite made my stay very welcome only thing is when I got there the spa facilities was under construction so we had to keep taking a cab to the hotel up the road which is all linked was called sao rafael atlantico I had a suite no bath just shower room a little small I must say so good luck showering with ur love one 😀 but the hotel is very beautiful had a fantastic time thank you to all the staff !!! Oh yes breakfast could have been better its the same options everyday give that a 6 out 10 :)

Beautiful view of the ocean and great oceanfront boardwalk. 2 room suite. The living area included a counter, faucet and sink which was convenient. Furnishings were on the “basic” side. Several good restaurants within easy walking distance.

We loved our stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We were well looked after. Our accommodation was spotless. Comfortable beds. Great food. Great selection at breakfast and dinner. The hotel is in walking distance to a supermarket and 20 mins Uber ride to the busier old town. Costing around 9 euros. Plenty of available sun beds around the swimming pools and short walk to a beautiful sandy beach. We had an evening flight home and were able to pay a little extra to have the use of another room for the afternoon. Perfect break. Highly recommend.

The suite we stayed in was comfortable. The interior was modern and stylish, and the view of the surrounding area was truly breathtaking. The breakfast spread offered a good variety of options. The staff would also make omelettes every morning. While the location is beautiful, it's somewhat secluded, and local attractions and amenities are not within walking distance. However, if you have a car, this won't be an issue. Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find that the spa was undergoing maintenance during our stay, which meant we couldn't indulge in the relaxation and pampering we had hoped for. The communal stairs were not very well-lit and not kept as tidy as the rest of the hotel. The staff are amazing and made my partner's birthday special. We had a bottle of champagne delivered to the room. The beach was a short walk and was amazing!

Beautiful resort with many amenities, we stayed in a well appointed room with sea view. Many pools and easy pathway to the beach. October was a good choice as it was not crowded

Celebrating our baby-moon. 3rd time visiting this resort. Staff were fantastic as always. Polite, caring and attentive. Usually a 5 star review from us, however resort looking a little tired. Possibly because out of season now and less staff available for maintenance. Nevertheless, we had a lovely time. Hotel is a huge magnet for the golfers now, be prepared to share the resort with large groups of male parties visiting for the Salgados Golf Club and the natural booze ups in the evening. Everyone was pleasant and we will return again. Thanks all!

The beach is beautiful, the breakfast is delicious 😋 impeccable, and it’s worth staying for a week. Will go again
