The security man continued to harrass me as I was relaxing. He is not friendly and missing the Fiji happy welcome . The other staff are all very nice and friendly. The outlook is pleasant and the pool clean. No one around to put up umbrellas so lacking shade. However the worst was the creepy grumpy security man

We ate at the Quarterdeck Restaurant on 23rd of May 2025. To say the food was below par is being generous. We ordered from the Indian/Sri Lankan menu. Each curry was served in a variant of the same tasteless sauce, the only fish available was frozen, the parathas were a doughy, undercooked mess. The vegetable korma curry consisted of frozen peas and carrots and looked like baby food. The roti was tough, thick and doughy. The mushroom curry contained 5 - 6 (tinned) mushroom pieces and was in the same generic sauce. The service was patchy with meals arriving at different times. The best thing about the meal was the Fiji Gold beer. A total waste of money and time, very disappointed.

We stayed here over a weekend while attending a nearby function. Quite a peaceful place and the rooms are alright... be weary of the steps from the top and bottom levels in the rooms. Restaurant and pool located at the top of the premises. Nice views.. some decent meals.

We didn't stay here but the restaurant was fantastic, great prices, amazing view, exceptional Indian and Sri Lankin food ... kids gave it a 5 * (9 and 15 yo) ... we had so much we took leftovers away ... cocktails were ok ... just ok, amazing setting looking out over the Coral Coast

DO NOT STAY HERE! service was terrible food was terrible. I spoke with a couple staff and even they said they wouldn't recommend staying here the owners are very cheap stairs are dangerous wifi absolutely sucks food took over an hour to be cooked the amenities in the rooms are very old outdated and mostly broken and barely work the spa only had a night shift worker so no day time massage I asked why and was told the owners do not want to hire another staff member for the day shift. It's clear the owners don't care about their customers stay elsewhere fiji hideaway is 15 mins down the road much better please will never stay at crows nest again

The accommodation was basic but basic, however the fridge was broken, the staff didn’t seem to care, which is very unusual for Fiji which is known for its hospitality. The breakfast was definitely the poorest I have ever experienced anywhere on this beautiful planet of ours. It was so bad I went to a resort along the road for breakfast.

Stayed here for a week. It was perfect, wonderful friendly staff, great food in the restaurant, great air conditioning in the room, rooms were clean and comfortable, great views and a lovely swimming pool. I couldn’t say a single bad thing about this place. Everything was awesome 😊😊

One of the best curries that I’ve tasted. Great views and nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The wine list was interesting and nicely priced. A great find in this part of Fiji where generally food is pretty average. Highly recommended

After driving home for two hours, we received a phone call to return our room key (which we forgot to drop off when we checked out). Lady said theres only one key and a guest was checking in after us.

Checked in with Family on Dec23. Overall experience wouldn't recommend to anyone. 1. The "included" breakfast was bad, had to pay to get a good meal. 2.Lady Duty manager very rude. No people skill. 3. No wifi in room. 4.No internet reception. 5. Lovely staff though, poor management.

Over a 23 year period I’ve eaten at the Crows Nest restaurant. The service was generally good but it always took a lengthy time for the food to come out of the kitchen even if you were the only table being served. Understanding that there was a new chef and new menu we took our family visiting from the USA to dinner. The service was good and the food came from the kitchen in an acceptable time. Then everything fell apart. One order of Chicken and Fettuccine was an insult to both the chicken and the fettuccine. Inedible! One order of mystery fish was inedible. Another order was Chicken Parmigiana. Why it was called parmigiana is again another mystery. The taste was awful! Also, It’s the first time that we’ve ever had broken glass mixed in with the food! These three main courses were returned to the kitchen. The fourth dish that was ordered, prawns with rice was okay and edible and was paid for. The owner of the Crows Nest Resort, Mr Hamid Ali, also owner of the Amalfi Restaurant in Port Denerau, and also owner of Caskade Catering in London which owns numerous KFC franchises had a menu that leaned toward pasta dishes and the pasta’s were imported from Italy. The menu and food at that time was good though inconsistent. Sadly, hotel management changes frequently as does the chef and kitchen and service staff, again leading to inconsistent service, quality and presentation. Hopefully, things will improve but I’m not holding my breath.

A very nice little resort on Fiji's Coral Coast. I stayed in one of the 3-bed villages (1 queen-sized and 2 small ones). The location is hidden in a quieter part of the Coral Coast tourist belt, but you can easily access shops, restaurants, and other hotels either by walking, bus ride, or taxi. It also has a nice little beach. Staff are very helpful and because it is a small resort you get a friendlier service than most of the bigger resorts. A public bus service runs past the resort every 30 minutes and you can hop in to get to Sigatoka Town which is a 5-10 minute drive away.

Called in my reservation by phone and received confirmation by Sera. Arrived at Crows Nest around 3pm and was warmly greeted by Asinate and quickly checked into my villa. Everything went smoothly. The villa itself is old and dated but clean. I've stayed at Crows Nest several times before and sometimes it can be busy with families and kids or with large youth groups or sports teams but this time it was fairly empty and quiet which was nice. This place holds a lot of memories for my family as well when we used to stay there some 40 years ago. It's location on the coral coast is ideal but the beach isn't an ideal swimming beach. It might be good for snorkeling but not for swimming. There are alot of sharp coral and broken glass on the beach. In addition there are alot of snake like looking creatures in the water. They're harmless but if you have kids it might freak them out a bit :) The pool looked clean although we didn't go swimming in it because it was raining and a little cold. The restaurant is okay. Ate there two nights in a row and ordered the same dish because I loved it the first night but on the second night it was not very good. So the restaurant is a hit or miss for me. The free breakfast consisted of two different cereals, milk, cakes, toast, jam, butter, watermelon, papaya, pineapple and orange juice. Very basic but appreciated. In the past I've paid anywhere from FJ$189 to FJ$239 on this particular trip so it varies. Quiet on the high side I feel for this particular resort as compared to some of the other higher end resorts. The staff overall were nice on this particular trip. My vehicle was safe in the parking lot for the two nights and three days we were there. The villa itself has a queen bed and two single beds, bathroom, no living area but a lanai with chairs and a kitchen. There is no cooking appliance or microwave but they do have a hot water kettle and a mini fridge. The cupboards were bare. Only had a couple of mugs, no utensils, bowls or plates. Check out went smoothly. Of the few times I've stayed here I've never been able to get a late check out even with an empty resort. Check out is at 10am. This is just an FYI in case you have a late afternoon flight and was planning on a later check out. However, Asinate at the front desk was friendly and professional. I've stayed at much nicer resorts but this place just holds some memories and provides a simple and friendly atmosphere as compared to the commercial Bula type experience you'd receive at a five star resort. Overall a great family friendly place to spend the night. There is no night life in this area but if you're looking for a little peace and quiet without the commercialization feel of the larger resorts then this is the place.
