Very comfortable studio apar**ent - family of 4 stayed - one room but we all fitted. Bathroom large and good shower, hairdryer provided. Basic kitchen but ample for our needs. Free washing machine under building for laundry. Stayed in block Q. Definitely not ski in! Probably 300m walk to first possible point to put skis on and ski down to T bar lift. Gets a bit annoying by the end!

Very pleased with Aurinkorinne Apar**ents. Booked a studio through Crystal and found I was able to access the apar**ent from 12:35pm rather than wait until normal check in at 6pm. The apar**ent was very clean, spacious, well designed and well equipped. The key code entry was useful, saves remembering a key! There's a large drying cabinet as you walk in which is great for all your ski gear, plus plenty of hanging space. The kitchen has everything you could need, including a dishwasher which is beneath the oven. Cleaning liquids (including dishwasher gel), tea towels, cloths, even kitchen towel are all provided. There's also a QR code on the cabinets which you scan to access all the appliance instructions. Useful for the dishwasher as there's a lever attached to the tap which you have to turn to use it. The bathroom is large, the sauna is lovely and there's plenty of hot water. Shower gel and soap are also provided along with a hair dryer and plenty of toilet roll (a nice surprise compared to French apar**ents...) The main area of the room has the beds, which were very comfortable, a sofa, table and fireplace. The room was always warm without being too hot and there's extra bedding in the wardrobe. Even firewood, matches and firelighters are provided, though don't forget to open the damper above the fireplace before you light the fire, though you might need to stand on a chair. There are some English channels on the TV but not many. WiFi was very hit and miss on the first day but then stabilised and worked fine. Didn't hear much noise from adjoining apar**ents, though I was woken one morning by snow clearance at 5:30am which wasn't great. The apar**ents are a little way out of Ruka village which I liked. From Q block it took about 8 minutes at a brisk pace uphill to reach the gondola. Some of the apar**ents are closer to the slopes than others - Q block is probably the furthest and it was about 5 minute walk to the slopes, though the route is flat and easy. Only tricky bit is the snow covered steps to the apar**ent if you're on the first floor, but just take it easy and it's fine. Don't be tempted to ski along the road, they spread gravel on it to help with vehicle traction. If you're self-catering, I recommended going to the Sale supermarket just out of the village (by the roundabout off the main road) rather than the store in the village. It's much larger and cheaper, and only a few minutes further to walk. Overall I'd happily stay here again and if you're used to French ski apar**ents, these are a significant step up.

Absolutely brilliant apar**ents, clean and well equipped. As a family of 3 we stayed in a 2 bedroom apar**ent and it was plenty big enough. Drying cabinet was excellent and so was the sauna. We were in block c which was just at the bottom of the fist hill so an excellent location. To get to the village it was a walk up a small hill and then you could do the steps (70) up to the village, or take a longer gentle walk round. We will be back loved it x Hairdryer, towels included.

This is a beautiful, well equipped group of ski lodges with great ski-in access, good storage, drying rooms etc… However, we booked a 2 Bedroom lodge as a family of 5 (6,6,8) as part of a TUI Lapland trip. This lodge was not great for a family, there just wasn’t enough space, beds. The coach dropped us at the main pick-up drop off point. Which was about a 200m walk from the accommodation down a snow covered icy road. We commandeered a couple of kids plastic toboggans loaded our suitcases and headed down the hill, completely out of control and crashing into a big pile on snow at the bottom of the hill. This was a great fun start to the holiday for us. But, is you had any sort of mild mobility issues, or a single parent with kids, this would have been a real struggle. When we got inside only the 2 twin beds in the main bedroom were made up we had to make up, the room supposedly slept 6 people, but no idea where. There was only enough bedding pillows and towels for 4, we told the TUI rep who quickly sorted us some more bedding and towels, but then struggled for an hour to make up the bunk beds. We were then a bit confused where the extra 2 people (1 in our case) was meant to sleep. The sofa was a sofa, you could take off the pillows and use it to sleep on, but not really make it up as a bed. The bottom bunk was extra wide, so the kids shared the bottom bunk with one on the top not great but it worked. The daily walk up and down to Ruka village was again great fun if you have the ability. The drying cabinet was a great positive and really helped. As is the case in most accommodation, there’s never enough hanging space for coats, towels and clothes as a family of 5. Great location and accommodation for ski holiday for 2 adults 2 children or 3 adults max. Wouldn’t choose this accommodation for a family Lapland trip. Photo is from the balcony.

Two bedroom Apar**ent with sauna, tumble clothes dryer which was useful, bathroom and toilet plus separate second toilet. Wi-Fi and TV in rooms. Nice dining area with dining table. Only two hundred metres to the resort centre with ski facilities and Gondola or shuttle buses to other part of resort with lots of restaurants and shops.
