THE best B&B we have had the pleasure of staying in. We only stayed the 1 night whilst visiting nearby Oxford. It is an outstanding building full of history, gorgeous gardens, beautiful location, our only regret was we didn't stay longer. Our room had a huge bed that was warm, spotlessly clean & super comfortable. Stunning view out of our window overlooking the gardens, I woke up at 4 am to open the window & shutters as the only sound you could hear was the birds outside, absolutely no road noise. Breakfast was delicious, traditional Full English cooked to perfection by the owner, he was also chatty, friendly and nothing was too much trouble, talked about the house & gardens also recommended places to eat close by - all in all a 5* stay, we will definitely be back

10/10 cannot fault our stay! From the sensational views to the beautiful home made food … essential oil bathroom products … Leo the host who is sweet and very accommodating. We really enjoyed our romantic weekend here and will be returning soon. At a loss to know how heyford can charge such reasonable prices for such high quality products/services. Even the tea choices were varied, organic and high end. Home from home. Superb rooms - very snug and warm with heating always on. Can’t fault a thing. Strongly recommend - view from our bedroom above … steeped in history and culture. Jacinta

Stayed at this beautiful retreat as a birthday getaway for my wife. Simply stunning accommodation, great views, quiet, ambient and tranquil. Lovely meal at the local pub 30 yards away, couldn't have asked for me! Perfect stop off point for Blenheim palace. Will definitely recommend

I fell in love with this house, it was outstanding both inside and outside. The original features and history of this house, just made you want to explore more. If only walls could talk. The room we stayed in was lovely and I loved the window shutters. The bed was a good size for me, but for hubby it was too short. The owner said he was getting a new bed in the future, so for taller people that will help.. The garden went on and on and was beautiful. A delicious breakfast was served each morning, with tasteful fresh ingredients. I would recommend staying here, better than any chain hotel.

What a fantastic getaway! I’m only sad I didn’t have time to stay for at least another night! I was greeted warmly and shown to my room. The room was spacious and had robes (always a treat for me). There’s a lovely view of the back garden from my room (#1) as well. Breakfast was plentiful! I had fresh blueberries and oatmeal to start and then salmon with scrambled eggs on toast! All of that with a strong cup of coffee was plenty for the long day ahead! This is a great place to visit if you’re looking for lovely walks, the opportunity to stay in a beautiful home, and enjoy a bit of English countryside that’s about an hour outside of London.

Love our weekend stays at Heyford House. All four rooms have their own unique character. This was our second stay, this time over the Easter weekend. Comfortable quiet and homely environment and tasty locally sourced breakfast. Great location - easy to get to North Cotswolds and Bicester Village. Will be back.

lovely small village, heyford house is a great place to stay if you are visiting the area the host is very welcoming the bedrooms are very big and the beds very comfortable, breakfast is very nice, for dinner there is a pub (the bell) 50 yards away that i would recommend too, it was nice not having to listen to footsteps in the room above or people outside in the corridors that you get in larger hotels, stay here and relax. frank

First time impressions were very good and our room (with patio) was really comfortable. However there seemed to be a problem with the heating system in the south wing where we stayed. Although provided with an electric oil heater in the room which was adequate, the corridors etc. felt very chilly and because of the size of the venue generally, one felt quite cold upon arrival at one's destination which I imagine could be challenging if you have mobility issues. The choice of entertainment was good, having two lounges to choose from, and I loved the original main building with it's traditional decor. Plus the choice of dining venues offering different menus was great - we visited all three. Although quite expensive, would certainly go again!
