Very mixed feelings about the experience. Overall I would give 4 stars. The Bad - only 1. The tour agency. We booked a tour guide and driver to take us to Dendera, Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens and Hatshepsut Temple - this was our itinerary. Our guide took us to all but refused to take us to the Valley of the Queens, instead trying to scam us by taking us to the Alabaster stone factory which was not on our itinerary and despite paying in advance to go to the Valley of Queens instead. The Alabaster stone factory is not a factory, it is a shop to coerce and scam tourists charging $150 for a small piece of rock which many tourists fall for. Tourists at other hotels also complained about this and saw many foreigners being scammed at these so called “factories”. So please be prepared for this and only stick to your schedule that you agreed beforehand. The Good - the laundry, staff at the hotel (security, waiters, manager) was extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The rooms were amazing and the pool and location was great.

Hotel is rather nice, has numerous facilities such as pool area, bar, gym. Spa and multiple shops. Outside pool area is rather large and spacious and also has a comfortable seating area within the hotel and at the entrance. Hotel is rather dated, such as the bathrooms and the elevators and breakfast could be somewhat improved.

Perfect location next to Luxor temple, travel agency at the lobby has very good prices, we book a taxi to Marsa Allam for the half of the prices we were offered from other hotels, The breakfast is ok! But honestly for us was very difficult to find good food in Luxor, so we were happy to have that option

It’s ok for 1-2 nights

The hotel is located next to the Nile River, but it is actually separated by a road. The room is quite spacious and has a not-so-big balcony. The hotel supplies include shampoo and shower gel, toothpaste and toothbrush, but no slippers. Those who have stayed in Egyptian hotels know that many do not have them. Don't expect too much from the facilities of Egyptian hotels. No comparison, no harm. No expectations, no disappointment. In addition, because I went to ride a hot air balloon early in the morning, and I didn't arrive at the hotel until after 1 o'clock last night, it was equivalent to sleeping for less than three hours. I was so sleepy after the hot air balloon ride that I overslept and missed breakfast. I can't comment on the food.

The facilities are old and the cleanliness is average, but the location is good. You can see the Nile River. It is very close to the Luxor Temple and the market. It takes about 10 minutes by car from the train station and is within walking distance to McDonald's.

Very bad experience, super bad review! Bad review! Bad review! All my jewelry was lost in the hotel room (think it was stolen by the room attendant), worth $500, the manager passed the buck and didn't respond, later I said I would call the police if I didn't find it, he found it for me in a minute, and said sarcastically that I said I didn't put valuables in the safe. The hotel is a bit big, the rooms are old, and the facilities need to be improved! The balcony of the room was nice, with a view of the Nile River. The hotel was in a good location, just a few minutes walk to the Luxor Museum. People everywhere outside the hotel asked: Are they Chinese? Take a carriage ride? One dollar, just one dollar, these people are so noisy! Do the liars in Luxor really think that we Chinese are fools?

Four-star level, the location is quite good, opposite the Nile River. A three-minute walk to the ferry public, a 10-minute walk to McDonald's, and there is a local restaurant on the right after exiting the hotel.

If you book a garden view room, you will be given a three-story earth building with no elevator on the edge of the hotel garden. People from other countries who book it will be given a garden view room in the hotel building. The bed in the river-view room booked by cash in the lobby on the first night was collapsed, the towels were black, and the bath water was smaller than the sink. There is no service at all, serious discrimination, old equipment, and very poor sanitary conditions. Be careful.

The location is perfect. Although the hotel is very old, the facilities and design are not out of date. The service is also very good. The hot air balloon reservation price is not expensive. When eating in the breakfast restaurant, you can directly enjoy the view of the Nile River and see the flying hot air balloons🎈 . The hotel does not have its own parking lot. There is a paid public parking lot next to it, and you can also park on the outside and back streets of the hotel. In summary, Luxor Hotel is the king of value for money.

I thought it was a little expensive among hotels in Egypt, but there were several security guards at the entrance, and I was able to spend a comfortable time from check-in to check-out. Luxor Temple is also a 10-minute walk away. When you step out of the hotel, you will see several touts waiting in front of the hotel, but there is nothing you can do about it.
