The Valamar Meteor hotel was in a great location right by the beach and near the old town. The view was nice and the room was clean. Breakfast is also great !! The sunset is beautiful !!

Very nice, modernized hotel in a great location. Breakfast excellent. Unfortunately, the area in front of the infinity pool and loungers were completely overcrowded and nothing was left, which was a bit uncomfortable. The small garden in front of the indoor pool with the loungers and the day beds was nice and quiet and not that crowded. Hotel is definitely recommended.

Excellent place to stay in Makarska . Central to everything beach^s resturants and old town firstclass in everyway highly recommend Valamar spotless rooms wonderful helpful staff. Best breakfast so much variety Unforgettable ❤️

Stayed for a week, saw loads of negative comments. I would say a lot of them are complete rubbish. Great , clean superb hotel , don’t be put off. Staff fantastic, everything you need and more, different nationalities who get on great. I’ve travelled quite a bit in my time and can’t knock this place at all. Give it ago, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing week and don’t want it to end. Great location for excursions with superb facilities for day by the pool or sea. Staff are all really friendly and helpful and there’s a great choice of food available within the hotel or just outside if you prefer. We would love to come back again.

What an amazing hotel, very family friendly, amazing views, friendly staff & excellent food. We arrived at 11pm, check in was easy, they left us a meal, fruit & water in our room which was wonderful. Room very spacious, only down side was not enough storage, no drawers for 3 ladies.infinity pool,plenty of activities to do, bars and restaurants nearby as well as a harbour with boat trips. The Hotel was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful and always happy to help. One of the best if not the best experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. The rooms are comfortable if a little small. The location is fantastic the pools indoors and out were beautiful plenty of sun loungers and literally 10 paces to the beach. A fantastic hotel and we WILL be going back which is probably the best indicator of how much we loved it.

This was my first visit to Makarska after more than 20 years and it didn't disappoint. The hotel was great with nice rooms, excellent food and friendly staff. Entire facility is oriented to provide superb experience to families with children. My daughter was elated to be part of a various animation programs. Definitely, the hotel worth coming back to.

Absolutely excellent another Valamar hotel 10 out of 10 they really know how to provide for the customer. Excellent customer service lovely food lovely location. Already searching for next Valamar stay. Suggest check out their website.

Our first stay with Valamar and we are already recommending it to friends. Pros: We booked breakfast only and it was delicious, huge variety and really hard working staff in the restaurant area. The room was so comfortable, the cleaners are really attentive and the views from the balcony were incredible (sea-view). Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and helpful, and they all work so hard. Iris the fitness instructor is so lovely and her classes are fab! We were lucky to do a yoga class with her and she was wonderful. The infinity pool is so nice to relax in - jacuzzi add-on a lovely touch! Cons: We ate dinner in the hotel once (€25pp) and it was fine, but only fine. I would recommend eating at the local restaurants instead for higher quality food at a lower price. We had an invasion of ants in our room one night when we returned. We told the front desk and they sent a cleaner up straight away to hoover up the ants. It happened again the second night but when we informed the front desk, we were told that nobody could help. Instead they handed us a spray can of ant killer and sent us away. Ants came into our room repeatedly throughout our stay and we don’t feel this was dealt with in the best way. Cleaning up the bodies of dead ants wasn’t on our itinerary and we are disappointed in how this was handled. It’s a family friendly hotel, and we went as a couple with no kids. The families have two child-friendly pools to enjoy, yet they insisted on also dominating the infinity pool. I would recommend making this pool for adults only to ensure that it caters to all levels of customers. Overall a really nice stay and we would consider returning for bed & breakfast.

Jet2 service excellent, hotel very clean and tidy staff very polite and helpful rooms spotless. If you get offered room 2458 change it immediately it must be the smallest room in the hotel and the balcony is just wide enough for the 2 chairs and a table very very small. Food absolutely awful nothing is hot and very repetitive. Breakfast is exactly the same each day. Evening meals are something to avoid. Although we did not have any children with us it seems that young children are very well catered for. The location is spectacular 5 yards from the grounds to the beach. The prom has many bars and cafes but nothing else. There are very few shops and a shopping mall about 20 min walk away with about a dozen shops but not worth the walk. Unless you are a beach bum there is nothing to do in the resort. But it is very clean and tidy, the locals are very friendly, wonderful ice cream. But I’m afraid we will not be back

The beds are like sleeping on clouds. Great hotel for our girls week away. Fabulous food, staff, entertainment and scenery. Hotel spotless. Hotel close to Makarska for enjoying the town. Lovely walks and beaches. Split is near enough for a day visit. It is a beautiful city with loads to do. First time in Croatia which I loved.

Good hotel but if you don't need the Family activities you could get more quality in food and more space in the rooms for the same money. Absolute plus points are the indoor pool, the large terrace (if booked for an extra charge) and the large car park for which you have to pay extra.

What a stay! I took my son for his 21st birthday & we had the most incredible stay. Our first time in Croatia the most incredible country! The hotel was perfect from start to finish everything was perfect. We felt so relaxed and made to feel most welcome by a really good team of people throughout the hotel. Easy to book bikes at the hotel a great tennis centre a 5 min walk from the hotel they we used ever day. Great facilities, the spa amazing, indoor pool & sauna perfect. Great atmosphere in the bar in the evening with good live music. Breakfast & dinner good choices every day. I could keep going forever with how good things were. A perfect location easily one of my best holidays for a very long time. I will be coming back next year for sure as I want my wife to experience what I have. Waking up & falling asleep to the views from my room every night was very special. Thank you so much for a great holiday. A trip that my son and I will always remember
