Hotels near Boussif, Marrakech

With the hindsight of some of the reviews i have read on this hotel, my conclusion after just staying here for a few days is they are absolutely not giving the hotel the justice it derserves. Yes the hotel is old, might be some tiles missing here and there' or some wall plug not sitting 100 % in the wall. But generally its not a problem that can't be solved if you ask the staff they are both friendly and helpfull. With a large family in marrakech and the experience of travelling here every other year for the last 30 years this is nothing out of the ordinary on hotels of marrakech unless you are staying at something absolutely high end hotel which will probably cost you small fortune Garden is magnificent with a spacious pool area, friendly and helpfull staff that solves any problems you might have, good food with fair prices. Rooms are spacious well ventilated (Ive read a lot of people complaining about the A/C, to that i can just say morocco is one of the warmest places on earth specially during the summer time and thats not anything even the best A/C can solve) The only negative thing is the area around the hotel once was a ”highend” district with lots of luxury hotels sadly the last couple of years the area has been in decay leaving it quite ”dead” which means you have to find a taxi to get to anywhere interesting which is not a big cost (20Dh-40dh), but can be tricky if you are travelling more then 3 persons due to lack of big taxis and the fact that small taxi´s only take 3 people. We came to the hotel with more than 10 people. The welcome is great. People are smiling and say yes to everything without sometimes even understanding. We arrived at 7:30 p.m. and our room was half done. We couldn't shower because the towels hadn't been provided. The lady in the hallway refused to give them to us. She preferred to chat on WhatsApp. Rooms never ready before 4-5 p.m. Imagine when you've been away all day and you just want to take a shower but you can't because your room isn't ready. The aesthetic department downstairs should be avoided. I did my treatments in the hall and since the beautician was taking a long time (a taxi was waiting for her 1 hour later) I did not get my entire service but I had to pay the ENTIRETY. In short, I give it a 5/10 because the place is nice and quiet. The service needs to be seriously reviewed.

I recently stayed at Palais Mehdi in Marrakesh, Morocco and it was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation. An escape from the chaos of the city center to return to at the end of the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and made us feel right at home. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. And let's not forget about the beautiful pool, which was the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. Free parking too! Overall, we had an amazing stay at Palais Mehdi and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and luxurious getaway in Marrakesh. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so memorable!

The staff were friendly,lovely and approachable. Especially Hussain and Ahmed. Ahmed went out of his way to buy me a phone charger when my phone battery was almost dead. Hussain is very friendly and helpful and speaks good English The room were clean and the service was amazing. Location is about 15min from the airport and walking distance to Guilze City center. Wish shower had shampoo. Would go back again

Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

NE RESERVEZ PAS - AVOID AT ALL COSTS- This hotel must be avoided at all costs!!!!! Do not trust positive ratings, they cannot be trusted and have been paid for. Evitez cet hotel a tout prix!!!! Ne croyez pas les avis postifs, achetes a moindre cout par cet hotel. Ditry bedsheets provided everyday, stained towels everyday, broken plugs in the bathrooms (!!!!), no AC, very small pool, broken shower heads, a very aggressive manager. We left before the end of our stay to a different hotel. This place is not safe! Draps sales, literie douteuse, piscine trop petite, equipements a l'abandon, un manager aggressif, prises murales exposees dans les salle de bains!!, draps dechires, Nous avons exige un remboursement de nos frais. Nous avons quittes l'hotel avant la fin de notre sejour. Nous n'etions pas en securite!

The facilities in the room are relatively old, the TV is still a big box, but other facilities are relatively complete, the specifics of not including breakfast are not clear, the overall comparison is quite satisfactory.

Before coming to Marrakech, I had no clue what a Riad was. But this place taught me the real meaning of hospitality. It's a calm oasis in the hectic Medina, where you can chill to bird songs all day long. The massage was a dreamy and having breakfast on the rooftop felt like paradise. The staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back. This spot is an actual hidden gem in the UNESCO heritage site.
