Carneros is a large resort located about 10 minutes outside the town of Napa on 28 acres. It is a beautiful property. We visited with another couple. We stayed in dual cottages that share a private patio. The rooms were lovely each with a fireplace, small fridge and very comfortable beds and pillows. The cottage was clean and comfortable. It has everything we needed including a wine bottle opener and glasses. The exercise facility is very nice with excellent equipment and free weights. The grounds are beautiful with many places that offered photo opportunities. We watched sunrise every morning from the Hilltop pool and restaurant. Breakfast is included and served at the Hilltop restaurant. It was a very nice spread with meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, oatmeal, pasties, quiches, and bagel with locks. Service was attentive and helpful. The property has 3 restaurants onsite, Hilltop, FARM, and Boon Fly. We ate at all of them. There were all very good. The staff at Carneros was very attentive. They were constantly opening the doors for us in the common areas and were always willing to answer any question. They also have a very nice market on-site that caries all sorts of food, goods, and gifts. It is expensive and I’m not sure it’s worth the actual price we paid but it was a very nice property. This

This is my 4th stay at Carneros and it did not disappoint. While there were a few things that could’ve been done differently, the hotel was FAST AND CARING to rectify the situations, providing excellent customer service. Specifically, the manager Nina, was fabulous at accommodating our large groups needs day and night, she is truly a gym! Additionally, the pool and spa manager was so nice! She would walk around the pool area, personally checking up on guests! They provide free transportation within 5 miles of the resort, which is a game changer to get into Napa! As always, they keep this resort meticulously polished and clean. You truly feel like you’re in another world. We stayed in 2 cottages and a house, and they were perfect. It’s an oasis! We ate at Farm and Boon Fly Cafe, they were great! Additionally, the Market offers a nice selection of groceries. What’s best about this hotel is that you will not pay inflated prices for food and drink. Most entrees are under $40 and drinks are also reasonably priced. Within the market, you’ll find bottles of wine for $30~. We can’t wait to celebrate next year!

The perfect place to stay if you are looking for a luxury resort with excellent customer service. We received a warm welcome upon check in. The cottage was cozy and modern. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I can tell the Director of Operations pays attention to detail because everything about our stay here was perfect from check in to check out. My husband and I have stayed here a couple of times in the past to celebrate my birthday. We will continue to come here because they always make our stay memorable each time.

Perfect stay in the heart of wine country near to Napa. Our room was basically a tiny house feel with a private terrace complete with beautiful climbing roses. The pool area is simply amazing with views for days of the surrounding vineyards and hills. Restaurant was under renovation so we sat outside to enjoy the food, which was very nice. The onsite market had great breakfast as well as plenty of wines and snacks if you wanted to take a picnic. The only downside of staying here is the distance to downtown Napa…traffic can be tough and it can be an hour drive sometimes. Lived up to the hype and would absolutely return again!

This is literally the worst hotel I've stayed in the Napa area (and I've been to all of the nice places). Upon check-in, I found my room infested with ants. On the snack table, the walls, the bathroom/bathtub (probably many other areas as well). I alerted the front-desk who said they would move me to another room while I was away for work for the day. When I returned, the front desk told me they decided not o move me to another room and that they "removed the ants". So when I got to the room, there were still ants (on the counter, on the walls, in the bathtub, etc.). Not as many ants, admittedly, but too many ants for a place that costs as much as Carneros costs. I called down again and asked to be moved to a room without ants and they said they'd check with someone and they'd reach out to me. 10-15 minutes or more pass and I never heard back. So i called again and they said they'd transfer me to someone (who didn't answer the phone). So at that point I booked accommodations at another resort and called to tell them I was leaving. It was only at this point that offered to move me to a new room. The damage had been done at this point and they had the entirety of the day while I was away for work to do the right thing and move me to a room without ants. I requested a refund as I never stayed a single night in the room and it was not inhabitable due to the ants. Their response was that they walked the room and only found a couple ants so they will not be issuing any sort of refund but they'd be willing to offer me a $100 resort credit and an upgraded room. Obviously at this point I had already booked another room at a resort that does not have ants crawling all around the room so the offer was not only substandard, but pretty insulting to someone who would have been a repeat, loyal customer. There are so many beautiful resorts in the Napa area who can manage to keep their rooms clean and have outstanding customer service. This is by far the worst and most incompetent staff I have encountered at any resort in the area. Not to mention, I have NEVER had an issue with insects in any of the other resorts. But if I had, I can guarantee they would have adjusted my room and made sure I had a good experience. DO NOT STAY AT CARNEROS. There are so many other options at this price point who will give you a much better experience. I will never stay at this resort again.

One of our favorite hotels of all time! Carneros Resort & Spa can't be beat - the most magical location, friendly staff who go out of their way to make sure you have an incredible day and delicious food. The pools are amazing - both the adult pool and family pool. Our kids loved walking through the gardens, going on the special scavenger hunt planned by the hotel and seeing the chickens! It was truly amazing experience and we will be back.

My husband and I checked into Carneros Inn on 12/27 for a 2-night stay, expecting a relaxing getaway. However, our experience took a drastic turn due to safety hazards on the hotel premises. While the hotel's location seemed promising, the overall ambiance was marred by neglect. The landscaping appeared unkempt, with overgrown bushes obstructing pathways and landscape lighting. Despite our initial impression of the surroundings, our room, Cottage Rosemary #4, provided a comfortable retreat. However, our stay was overshadowed by an unfortunate incident on the last night. On our way back from enjoying the hot tub near the spa area, we encountered a serious safety issue. The stone stairs leading to our cottage were inadequately lit, posing a significant hazard. None of the integrated lighting fixtures worked, leaving us navigating in darkness. I tripped and fell, resulting in a fractured ankle. The aftermath of the fall has been arduous. I spent the following day at urgent care. I learned the extent of my injury—a fractured ankle requiring a month of immobility. The impact on my daily life, particularly as a parent of three, in a 2 story home, has been profound. Moreover, the lack of follow-up or concern from the hotel staff was disappointing. Despite the severity of the incident, no one reached out to inquire about my well-being. My recovery journey has been challenging, marked by sleepless nights and ongoing discomfort. The incident at Carneros Inn serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of prioritizing guest safety and maintaining adequate lighting and maintenance standards. It's disheartening that my first visit to the hotel ended in such a manner, tarnishing what could have been a memorable stay. As I look ahead to future travels, I hope that others can learn from my experience and prioritize safety above all else. In light of this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Carneros Inn to fellow travelers. Until safety concerns are addressed and guest well-being becomes a priority, I urge caution to anyone considering a stay at this establishment.

There's nothing bad to say about this fantastic venue. We attended a wedding, and all the details were handled by the Carneros staff, and everything went off without a hitch. The rooms were spacious with a nice private patio area perfect for coffee in the morning or an afternoon nap. I read they had some glitches during the pandemic, but those problems seem to be completely behind them, and we are sure you will have a fantastic experience.

We first found this gem for our honeymoon. We loved that we had our own individual lodge with an out door shower and a back yard with a fireplace! We recently treated ourselves to another weekend and no surprise it was the best weekend we had since our honeymoon, 6.5 years ago!! Let’s not forget the amazing food at the restaurant Farm. The fact that they have bikes for the ground, trees that you can pluck pomegranates or pears from, or the amazing SF city view from the hot tub and infinity pool. The food, the drinks, the service is unrivaled. Since leaving carneros resort and spa on our honeymoon we compare every resort we go to, to carneros. I must say, they do not compare. Every need was met immediately, and most times they anticipated our needs and showed up with delicious water and snacks before bed. What a luxury!! If you are seeking refuge and beauty look no further. Sahil, checked us in and made sure we got my birthday and our 6 year honeymoon anniversary on the maps for staff. Thank you Sahil! Upon entry, Marco spoiled us with delicious wine and easily provided a great recommendation to other fun things to do on the property. He was so knowledgeable and engaging we continued our fun banter throughout the weekend. Thank you Marco for making our weekend! P.S. Oh and for the pet lovers, apparently dogs are welcome!!

My husband and I had been to Carneros a couple times, but we recently brought our 5 year old daughter along and it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever taken as a family. The resort typically feels like an adult space, so its ability to transform into a family friendly cozy spot is pretty remarkable. I appreciate how subtly they work in options and activities for kids while they maintain a quiet, peaceful environment. We toured the property’s bee hives and gardens and were spoiled by COO Michael Ford there and then throughout the rest of our trip. We went on the Little Green Thumb garden tour with Chef Jeffrey Jake. My daughter and I had the most amazing afternoon with him while my husband enjoyed the spa. We had anticipated needing to leave the resort throughout the long weekend to keep our daughter occupied, but there was so much to do and eat and enjoy onsite that we hardly touched our car. Everyone left the vacation relaxed, recharged and bonded. Also depressed since we didn’t want to go. Thank you, Carneros, we can’t wait to see you again!

Our anniversary weekend at Carneros Resort was nothing short of perfect. We were married in a small wedding at the resort several years ago, and we so appreciated the note and the gifts that were waiting in our cottage upon check in. We had dinner at FARM, breakfast the next morning at the Hilltop, and brunch the day after at Boon Fly Cafe, and enjoyed the delicious options at each of them. The weather wasn’t great, which didn’t affect our experience at all; I only mention it because we were still offered turn-down service by a resort employee who was working in the pouring rain, yet still was gracious and friendly to us. In fact, each and every employee we encountered throughout our stay was wonderful. The beautifully appointed cottage, the scenic grounds, the impeccable service, and the overall charm of the resort all came together to make our stay completely lovely and memorable. We are Napa locals and love to book local getaways, so we’ve experienced many of the amazing hotels in the area, but few can deliver on so many levels as Carneros Resort can. It’s definitely my slice of heaven.

My wife and I booked our vacation after first learning of the Carneros Resort a few years earlier. We immensely enjoyed every minute of our stay, and promise to return whenever we can get back to Napa. Our room was excellent, the grounds and holiday decor were beautiful, and our dinner and wine pairing experience on Friday night was among the greatest dinners we have ever had in our life. The views from the Hilltop restaurant and pool area were spectacular, especially when several hot air balloons passed by in the morning. As for location, we were a short drive from countless Napa and Sonoma County wineries, which was made even easier through the resort's free area shuttle service. We can't say enough great things about the Carneros Resort!

We chose the Carneros Resort and Spa for a 75th birthday celebration, and what a wonderful three days. We loved our stay in Quail 8 with its luxurious furnishings and delightful garden (an outdoor soaking tub, with leaves from the tree was a treat.) The staff were very welcoming and fun: Sammie at the front desk, Taylor the concierge, Marco, Stephanie at Hilltop (she makes great drinks), the wine guy at the Post, and more. We had excellent spa treatments by Milton and Diana. Melissa at Boon Fly ensured we had a fabulous dinner one night. Using their bicycles for a ride along vineyards full of fall colors. Reading and enjoying the hilltop pools. A most relaxing, restorative, stress-free celebration.

This review is about the spa. When compared to services from other spas, I was surprised that the staff took shortcuts for the price one pays. The ambiance, location, and most of the amenities are nice. The staff was prompt in replenishing supplies and with cleaning.
