Aashram Hotel by Niagara River Reviews

Good location but bit higher priced. They give free breakfast, free parking. Its very close to Niagara river. There is a convenient store at walking distance which is an advantage. Its seems to be a family run Motel. The cleaning staff etc are supportive and quick to help. Good for short stay.

Staff was friendly and price was good, however the bathroom vent was covered in black mould aswell as alot of the tile in the shower. Towels and curtains were stained and it just felt like the cleaning was very basic and didn’t cover any more than vaccuming the floors and changing the sheets

Ive stayed her a few times, very convenient location. I would like to suggest if the front desk knows a guest is checking in to be a bit proactive and turn the heat on in the unit before arrival, upon our arrival it was 60 degrees in the room.

Very thin walls in this hotel. I never experience such disturbance in any other hotel in the past. You can literally hear anything going on in hallway, other rooms, kids crying. If you can't sleep in noisy environment then this hotel is not for you.

We were only in town for 1 night and we were extremely happy with this hotel stay. And trust me we have had bad ones. From the first greeting to the checkout the whole stay was phenomenal. We plan to stay again when we come back.

First room they put me in was filthy, second was cleaner but not great. Staff was nice though

I’m a single woman and travel alone a lot. On my first night, a male employee (owner??) came pounding on my door after dark demanding that I open the door. He told me I needed to move my car in the parking lot because it was « over the line » and was a problem for other guests. I went out and moved my car. My front tire was touching the line. AND there were no other people in the parking lot. Other complaints: they make this big deal about serving a breakfast. There wasn’t any breakfast either day The cleaning staff (man) came in my room without knocking. Fortunately I was dressed I don’t ever complain about places, but this place was creepy. No woman should go there alone

Terrible cleanliness! The bathroom commode had stains and the floor was dirty. There was no microwave or kettle or coffee maker as described . Very poor and uncomfortable experience

The motel was clean, comfortable, and convenient. Breakfast options were quite satisfactory including make-it-yourself waffles. The manager (owner?) was very pleasant and helpful. She arranged free bus passes for me every day to get down to Niagara Falls proper, which were well worth seeing on multiple days. (The bus runs about once per hour.)

You could hear all the noise from other rooms up and around, and worse - the beds were squeaking in every slightest move.

I would not overall recommend this hotel. First off as we pulled into the parking lot there were two people sitting at a picnic table and did a drug deal with a guy who pulled up on a bike. Then after that the two continued to sit there and roll a joint. I told the reception what happened as we checked in, but she did care. The room could have been cleaner. Where the phone and other items sat you could see that they wiped around everything and not move them. The bathroom mirror had toothpaste spray from someone brushing there teeth. Another guest kept asking us as we would come and go which room we were in. Again reception did nothing. We were worried that he would try and break in so we kept any belongings of worth with us. Breakfast was ok. For $200 a night it was definitely over priced. And they certainly could clean up the riff raft.

Great place for one night. Staff was was very friendly. The biggest advantage of avoiding carpet’s smell in the room was a chance to open a window. That’s is very common in hotels with carpet’s everywhere- bad smell if you’re sensitive. Breakfast was average, so nobody was hungry.

room was clean and worked perfectly for 5 of us. Convenient location for going to the Falls. Breakfast was all carbs but the coffee was good. Service was great
