Centennial House Reviews

I have stayed here three times now, and it is always a wonderful experience. Joan and Steve are gracious hosts. They make you feel at home in their home. The Centenial house is located less than 5 minutes from my son's college, so it is extremely convenient to stay here and visit my son. Joan welcomed us to invite our son for breakfast and served us homeade scones and french toast. I would give the Centenial House a 10/10 and look forward to many more stays here.

We had a wonderful stay while visiting our family here in Northfield. Joan and Steve have such a charming home and we were delighted and grateful to wake up to an amazing breakfast. Lucy the pup was an extra bonus and the only thing I regret is not getting more pets in. Looking forward to more stays in the future!

We were looking for a quick change of scenery to celebrate our anniversary. The location was far enough from home to feel like an adventure yet close enough to not spend valuable time driving. The home was well kept and the hostess pleasant. Previous reviews mentioned that she was well versed in the history of the area and able to provide recommendations for things to do. We did not have a lot of interaction and did not capitalize on this. Our room was incredibly comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The bed in particular was just to my liking with crisp sheets and moderately firm king mattress. The electric fireplace added to the ambience. The breakfast provided was three course including coffee, cider and water to fuel us for our day exploring. I am not generally into revisiting places as I feel there are too many places to explore, but I would consider revisiting Northfield and the Centennial House in the future.

My wife and I recently revisited Centennial House to celebrate our 40th Anniversary, having spent the first night of our honeymoon there when it had recently opened. We were so happy to see it is more lovely (and lovingly cared for) than ever. It was always a beautiful old house filled with warmth and charm but Joan and her husband have created a very special bed and breakfast -- a comfortable and welcoming bed and one of the best breakfasts we've ever had! You may not have our fond memories but I guarantee you'll have your own treasured memories if you stay at Centennial House.

Joan was very nice and a pleasure to engage in conversation. She was kind enough to allow us to switch rooms at the very last moment. Her Victorian home is furnished in keeping with the period of the home and our room was clean and comfortable. Joan was a wonderful host and provided an absolutely fantastic breakfast in the morning! It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay there again.

We loved our recent visit to the Centennial B&B right on Main Street in Northfield. Joan's hearty breakfast in the morning was very enjoyable. She was happy to share some local history with us and we enjoyed the comfortable room we stayed in. Every aspect of our one night visit only made us want to come back again!

Beautiful historic home Bed & Breakfast. The breakfast was great but the conversation about the history of the area was wonderful. My son had driven 9 hours to surprise his sister on her graduation and Joan was able to accommodate him with a last minute room addition. The house, the grounds, the walkable town all added to a memorable experience. Thank you.
