B&B Hotel le Mans Sud

Nothing wrong with the actual hotel n very close to the station. But if you are driving very small car park and on-street packing limited in a rough area.

Excellent budget B&B. We stayed for only 1 night on way through France to Spain. Room on the small side but it’s only for sleeping ! Bed very comfy for me as it’s very firm. You only get 1 pillow so bring your own if you like more. Bed spotlessly clean. Basic shower room with great shower and loads of hot water. Room very clean but basic. Stairs up to loft room are steep! No kettle but breakfast available on the ground floor. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment. Lovely lake opposite and a couple of minutes to Le Mans circuit. Huge Super U supermarket 2 minutes away. Only about 5 mins from centre of town for eating etc. Overall excellent value for money if you want a basic stay in Le Mans. We paid 47€ for 3 adults & 1 child. Bargain!

Very much a budget hotel and a French budget hotel is slightly less desirable than a budget chain in the UK. The room was relatively clean and OK to sleep in. The kids single beds being up some stairs was a great design but stairs incredibly steep and quite difficult for young children. Contactless check in with a code for the door a great idea. Next door was a fantastic restaurant next to the lake which would highly recommend.

+ friendly helpful reception staff + very convenient location for Arnage - small rooms - poorly lit - limited choice at breakfast - small shower with high sill, anyone over 6'2" won't be able to stand up straight. - boiler broke leaving us without hot water for 2 nights (manager was apologetic and was trying to get it fixed)
