Too bad the balconies don't face the Marina side. Lots of face to face.

I stayed with my family in a self catering apartment which was connected to the Real Marina Hotel. The apartment was 2 bed and huge. There were two bathrooms and an extra room next to the master suite with extra wardrobe space and a safe. The apartments have metal shutters and it makes the room very dark so no light in your room early on. Each bathroom had hand soap for the wash basin and one bathroom had a walk in shower with body wash/shampoo and conditioner and the en suite was bath with shower and also had the soap etc. Toilet paper was also supplied. The kitchen was well equipped with a very sharp knife but I would suggest you take a tea towel. We only made breakfast but if you intend to cook an evening meal, there is everything you need. Other extras were ironing board & iron, vacuum, dustpan & brush. The air con was spot on, easy to use and had a quiet mode. We stayed Wednesday to Wednesday and were surprised to come back after a day out on the Sunday to our apartment having been cleaned and fresh bedding & towels supplied. There are huge recycling and general waste bins at the end of each street of block of apartments. We were in a block above choco & nut which was a crepe restaurant and it was loud out on the balcony late on but our bedrooms were on the opposite side and it was quiet. Each block of apartments have 3 pools up on the top floor, you share with so many other apartments but we had 4 days of having the pool all to ourselves. One day the decking was broken but then repaired by the next day. We had two issues, our toaster tripped the electrics and our clothes horse was broken. On ringing reception and reporting both were rectified within minutes.l which is great service. We booked with jet 2 and were advised we had to pay €250 in cash at check in for a security deposit but it was not mentioned. Check out was quick & easy and all in all we had a pleasant stay. Olhão is really quite a nice place to visit.

We stayed here last June beautiful spacious apartments with large roof top terrace and pool fabulous views loved it that much we are booked for 11 nights 16th June can’t wait bars and restaurants close by plus supermarket ferry to beautiful beaches 15 min walk loved Portugal so re booked apartment huge and spotless

A very good base from which to explore the beautiful area around Olhao. We were impressed with the very spacious apartment. The balcony was great, although the view of people on the opposite balconies wasn't the best! Relatively quiet, apart from occasional music from Tacho restaurant which was a little intrusive but never stayed on too late. Check in easy, staff at hotel were lovely and let us leave our bags and have a shower etc due to an early checkout but a late flight. Over the road from the apartment there is a beautiful Marina complex with some high-end restaurants and bars and an ice cream place. Ten minutes walk along the coast and you are in Olhao main area, for multitude restaurants and bars etc ; behind the main road there are lovely cobbled streets with more authentic cafes and restaurants and it is easy to catch the ferry from the terminal to one of the many beautiful Islands nearby. We also caught a taxi to Albufeira for dolphin watching which was wonderful and we were very pleased that we had chosen Olhao when we had a little walk around the town in Albufeira wh8ch was huge snd much more touristic. The only thing that could be improved is the pool area which I felt was shabby and a little dangerous as a few of the floor panels were broken creating a tripping hazard. The walls had peeling paint and it wasn't always spotless unike the apartment. Other than that we had a fabulous stay and I would like to return to explore further afield. It feels like Olhao is on the cusp of becoming very popular. I hope it retains its charm and authentic Portuguese feel as it is a really lovely place.

Great apartments spacious, clean and peaceful highly recommended and would return, depending where you stay you might not have a sea view but you would from the roof terrace. Really enjoyed my stay here and felt safe as a solo female. Ideal for anyone one or group if you like self catering especially.

The Residence is our go to place when visiting Olhao, this time we stayed in apartment 591. There was a slight issue with this apartment which the hotel reception was unable to rectify, but we made the best of it. Apartments are large, spotlessly clean and well equipped, check in/out is always quick and easy from the very friendly staff.

The apartment was in an excellent position opposite the Marina. Everything was good apart from the lack of any comfortable seating. However, I am willing to overlook this as we did not spend much time in the apartment. We were happy using the Hotel for breakfast which was in our opinion excellent value for money. Nothing seems to be any trouble at all the staff and especially the reception staff. A great seven days and will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality.

Love this apartment, everything you need to secure a great relaxing break. 1 bedroom also has a separate toilet which is handy.

Great apartment, good pool, facilites and good position. Not more than 10 mins walk to centre. Everything needed for a great holiday. Booked breakfast which was is in the hotel and was excellent with great choices, well cooked and presented.

These apartments are large we stayed in a two bedroom one, two bathrooms, fully functional kitchen, showers great, loads of towels, great balcony. They are right beside the new marina loads of restaurants and bars, lovely area, we used the pool at the hotel fab

Another great stay at the apartments with friends all in the same block. Spotlessly clean pool in the roof is great as are the views. Plenty of space to accommodate everyone in our group with nights on the balcony. Great location for a short walk into town and the hotel is opposite should you require anything. See you next year!

The Real Marina apartments are in a great location and are very spacious, clean and well maintained.

Spent a very enjoyable week at these spacious apartments. Couldn’t fault it, great location in relation to walking into town. There is no handy beach but more than ample swimming pools. The beaches are a ferry away which can be busy.

Had an excellent stay at the real marina apartments, clean and very comfortable. Rooftop pool was clean and very refreshing. We had a small issue with air con but was resolved quickly after contacting reception. Very happy with everything.
