We splurged for a stay on the concierge level, and enjoyed our time visiting all the parks. We like staying here because of the lodge feel and laid back vibe. All the cast members were so accommodating. Can’t wait to return for another magical visit!

From the moment you arrive to the time you leave there is always someone nearby to help. Our family are DVC members and have stayed at Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom Lodge and Boardwalk. While Grand Floridian is our home base, the unmistakeable coziness of Wilderness has captured our hearts forever. The service in every corner of this resort, Josh at Geyser, Kelli in the Gift shoppe, the housekeeping staff, is just incredible and sets the bar for the rest {Saratoga could take a page from here). This is now our favourite and we will be back!

My review is 4+. We stayed in club level which is what I’d recommend. It’s worth it. Plenty of food and beverage options for pre and post park time. We didn’t need dinner most nights given the amount of food in the club. People are very nice and they look to make sure you have everything you need. One of my fave Disney resorts!

The Wilderness Lodge is a contender for the most beautiful resort on property. From the moment you enter you know you've entered a special place. Our room was a courtyard/water view and although you had to crane your neck to see a glimpse of water, we liked the location and the balcony. The room was spotless and was renovated recently so everything looked new. The in-room Keurig with a selection of coffees and teas makes for easy mornings getting your coffee fix. We sat in the lounge one evening and enjoyed some drinks and "Bacon on a Wire," which was four slices of house-made bacon and deviled eggs. We also had dinner at the Geyser Bar outside and I had a delicious bison burger. Get there by 9:30pm and you can watch the electrical water parade! My only complaint is that bus service can be slow, as some of the routes include stops at Fort Wilderness and/or the Contemporary. For example, Disney Springs is a 10min drive from the hotel but with a stop at Fort Wilderness it took over 30min to get there.

We got a one bedroom villa here. When we arrived, we were so impressed with the lobby/room. Everything is clean, updated and inviting. The bathroom shower/tub were amazing. Each unit has its own washer/dryer. Bed is super comfortable. Loved our little balcony and it was really quiet despite being close to the bus pick up area. Pool is really nice. Many restaurant options, we tried all of them and enjoyed each meal. Would highly recommended. There was a lot of action with characters in the lobby. Our 7 year old daughter loved the arcade and various activities put on by the staff. We would come back!

From the moment I arrived, I felt transported to a cozy retreat in nature. My experience at Wilderness Lodge was truly unforgettable. It is a magical hotel that takes you to a world of nature and adventure. If you are looking for a place to stay in Walt Disney World that offers you a unique and memorable experience, the Wilderness Lodge is the best option.

Ended up staying a couple of nights here and there is always something new to check out. Never had a bad experience with this hotel. The room, service and people working there have always been the best. The room had a view of the fireworks, so the kids loved that. The theming is stunning and Geiser Point is awesome, really enjoyed our stay. The transportation to Magic Kingdom was on time and efficient, never had to wait more than 15 mins to take the boat to the park or back to the hotel.

We always used to love coming to the Wilderness Lodge. Disney is not what it used to be. In general the facilities need serious upgrading. Staff is not friendly like they used to be. Prices for tickets to the park are super high at $169.00 per person with a $10 dollar break for a child. On top of that if you want a fast pass you now have to pay extra per person, leaving you with even longer waits if you don’t want a fast pass. Clearly understaffed the rooms aren’t ready until way after 4pm. Just not the same Disney. The staff refers to everyone as “hi friends “. Which is really lame. Just not a good family experience anymore.

We stayed three nights on a busy holiday weekend and loved it. While the lodge was full, it was still quiet overnight. Everything was clean and the cast members were friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early and they honored my room request. I don’t know what the theming was like in the past but I loved the rooms - they’re tasteful with some fun touches without screaming “DISNEY.” We had no problems using the app to check in, to open our room door, order food, etc. Even if you don’t have a fireworks view room, you can see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the shore. The pool was very clean and the lifeguards are alert and active. The mercantile/gift shop had a wide variety of souvenirs and snacks, water, wine and more. They sell ponchos too for the rainy days. We used a Minnie Van to get to Magic Kingdom for breakfast at Cinderella’s castle. I followed advice to order the car around 7:00 a.m. for our 8:00 a.m. reservation and that got us there too early - we were the first people at MK that day! 😆 I would say ordering the car at 7:15 would still get you there plenty early.

I had one issue after another with this hotel. For some reason- my key would not work so every BBC time I wanted to go to my room- I had to go to the front desk to get my key fixed . Also when I went to charge items on my oom card- I was told I didn’t have charging privileges and my pin was invalid. After 1.5 hours waiting at the desk as they called multiple people to fix the problem - I was promised the problem was resolved. They issued me a $175 gift card for my issues. Well guess what? I still couldn’t charge and on top of that- the took the $175 gift card from the deposit paid so essentially used my own money to compensate me. I have to go back to the front desk AGAIN to get this straightened out. I will never pay the premium for a Disney resort again- my room was $650/night and I couldn’t even enjoy it because I have spent so much time dealing with these issues.

This place is fine. I think if we had stayed in the main part of the hotel, we would have had a somewhat different experience. We were really disappointed with our first Disney experience and didn’t leave wanting to return like we had hoped. -When we checked in, I had some questions about transportation and the hotel in general. The cast member said he was new and that he was unable to answer any of our questions. -The shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot, with no in between. The sheets are paper thin and there is no comforter on the bed. They use the equivalent of a giant towel, which I guess is because they have such high volume they have to be able to rip the bedding off quickly. -We asked for a crib for our 2 year old, and it was never brought to us which completely disrupted their ability to sleep. -There is no room service, so if you find yourself needing food or something simple like a bottle of water at night, you’re out of luck. When we asked about water or anything else, we were simply told about the club level and how they have all of those amenities for those rooms only. This is something you might really take for granted at a Marriott or other hotel chain that gives you free bottled water at the bare minimum. -We decided to valet because we knew we were going to be using our car often. This was the most bizarre valet experience we’ve ever had. It seemed almost like an after thought, or they were just hoping nobody would use the valet service. We had to get a new valet ticket almost every time we came back to the hotel, and continuously had to give our name and other information, even though we saw the same staff over and over. -Another negative part of our experience is that, when we booked our specific hotel room type, we weren’t given the option of what view we wanted. We just paid the price to reserve a 1 bedroom in Boulder Ridge. We had a first floor view of a fence and some grass, which was absolutely not what we wanted. I would have paid more for a better view, but was never given the option. It would be really helpful to have separate categories for some room types based on views that can be booked (like they have for a few of the room types). It doesn’t really make sense to pay the same amount when some people end up with terrible views and some get amazing ones. -One of the most disappointing things is that there really were never any staff to ask how you’re doing or if your stay is going well. Even when I asked the front desk as we were leaving what I needed to do for check out, she just said “nothing, it’s automatic”, with no “how was your stay“ or a simple “thank you for coming”. Disney Parks seem to pride themselves on customer service and experience, but it seems to be more of an illusion than reality in the Hotels/Resorts. There are far too many people for them to genuinely care about everyone’s experience. They also use computers for a majority of what staff persons would typically do at a resor

It disheartens me to write a review this scathing of a hotel I once loved. However, the update Disney has done to the standard room are the worst! From the roll vinyl floor, thin sheet, hard mattresses, poor housekeeping and little to no theming other than some wall paper that an intern hack out in photoshop. This room had all the charm of an airport Marriott, not a Deluxe Disney hotel, especially at over $400 a night and that was 35% off. On the upside, the food, hotel grounds and lobby was fantastic. My recommendation is visit the hotel have dinner and then leave....

I loved the lobby. We enjoyed the Western decor and fireplaces. The check in was easy and putting info on Disney band was easy. The beds were very comfortable but way high off of a hard floor. We couldn't not get any reservations for the restarants. We did eat at the frozen out door Canyon Cafe. The nazi Hostess Kiersten at the canyon was rude and spiteful. The table were patrolled as if you were in the Whitehouse. Burgers were great. Bartender guy with one earring was friendly and great drink maker.
