Velas Vallarta Suite Resort All-Inclusive Reviews

Vellas Vallarta was truly excellent. The staff at Velas Vallarta was top rate. Friendly. Well spoken in English but encouraging in Spanish. eager to make the stay pleasent and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and VERY relaxing. it felt nearly empty. Our room was comfortable. Beds were okay, not great, but not bad. Pillows were not hypoallergenic. Overall the rooms are due for a makeover. The food was all good, on occasion great, and never bad. Not a lot of vegetarian options. Vegetarians: be sure to ask, many dishes cooked with lard etc.. Their mixed drinks are a mixed review. If you call the liquor, they are fine but the well liquor options are terrible. The margaritas were all good. There was a little shop onsite for souvenirs, over priced. The hotel is about 40 minute by taxi to downtown. shopping: Mercado municipal or market stalls on island in the rio cuale. for pottery: “señor Talavera” at hildago and encino en la espuina. Same prices as elsewhere but much nicer stuff. We didn’t try the spa or use any other services or excursions. Skip the “welcome package” it’s a time share promo. At the airport, keep your head down until you can see the outside. Don’t talk to anyone after customs and baggage, they just want to sign you up for timeshare demos. All in, great trip, I would definitely return to Velas Vallarta!! The staff and atmosphere more than make up for the minor setbacks and aging rooms.

The service is amazing at this resort - what wonderful staff!!! (All of them!). And the grounds/garden is beautiful. But the food was really bad.

Stayed solo for three days. Service from staff was excellent. From moment I arrived to moment I left everyone was super friendly and helpful. Pool was great and generally clean. Food was hit or miss. I had all inclusive and it was great to order as much as I wanted but felt because I had all inclusive the portions were smaller? So I didn’t intend to order more food but since the entree was so small I was still hungry. I mostly ate all a la carte. Stayed away from buffet as I’m a germaphobe. Stayed in studio room which was nice for one although the kitchenette felt dated by bathroom was nice and bed was very comfy. Loved that snacks and water in mini bar were included as well. I booked a week before I was leaving and got a great online deal for the studio room. WiFi worked great for remote working. Overall highly recommend and easy walk to nearby marina. Walked at night and felt safe for the most part walking solo back and forth. Ubers to travel around super cheap so I tipped well.

Beautiful, well-maintained property. Pools were always clean, grounds immaculate. It was nice to be able to choose between buffet and ordering from menu. We loved La Ribera for meals right on the beach. Food was always good and I especially enjoyed the stir-fry option at lunch, and the short-rib tacos. Also the huge shrimp cocktails! Angel was our favorite waiter! We had several delicious dinners at Andrea and making reservations was super simple!

We stayed at Velas Vallarta for 3 nights to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. We could not have picked a better resort. Every single employee we encountered was professional, kind, and efficient. The grounds/landscaping was beautiful and well maintained. The koi fish were a wonderful addition. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. They could have used a little updating, but it wasn't anything that distracted us from the stay. The pools were clean and spacious. The food was THE only thing that we could find that wouldn't get 5 stars from us. Overall, it was all a little under seasoned and my husband found it a little bland. The desserts were a big hit, and delicious! We're both talking about when we could come back.

The pool was great, but very hard to find open seating for 2. The room was average, housekeeping was amazing. Limited dining options was difficult due to the large number of guests. The towels had to be exchanged but several times there weren’t fresh towels.

I’ve stay here several times and love how safe I feel. Every one is so nice and helpful. The area is landscaped so beautifully. I know I’ll be back

Hard-working, friendly staff especially in restaurants. Food varied from fair to excellent, best in "gourmet" Andrea restaurant. Pools were nice. Despite notices to the contrary, people persisted in reserving chairs early in the morning. Although threatened with their belongings being removed and stored, it was not enforced. Pickleball courts (and probably tennis) needed cleaning: dangerously slippery. Our room was nice but noisy almost every morning with staff unloading supplies and working below.

It would be great if all of the loungers had cushions. The salads could be colder and the buffet food could be hotter. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

It's your classic all inclusive. It was not great with a toddler. Hard to just get a drink. It was lacking fresh food like fruits and vegetables it had some but not enough. Only two restaurant options. The staff didn't speak great English. You need towel cards so you have to keep track of them. There was no fresh squeezed juices. We just had a hard time feed our daughter. Two nights drunk people knocked on our door. There were loud fireworks we couldn't see but we could hear. It has more of a party vibe then we had wanted.

Jesús was amazing at check in and so was everyone else during our stay. Service was exemplary and the pool was lovely, room service top notch and our suite on the ground floor was perfect.

THIS IS GREAT RESORT. STAFF IS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. FOOD OPTIOND ARE VERY GOOD. BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS. ONE THING I DIDN'T LIKE IS THAT US EARLY MORNING PEOPLE HAD NO LIGHTING ON THE PATHS OR WALKWAYS TO THE ROOMS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESORT.

LOVED every minute of being at this resort and my wife and I will be coming back for our anniversary trip in October 2024. Thanks to all the staff! Best people around.
