Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Appreciating the red leaves in Xi'an is an intoxicating autumn journey. From October to November every year, both the city and the surrounding mountains are decorated with red leaves. In the city, red maples, ancient city walls and historical buildings complement each other, showing a unique historical charm and autumn romance. The Qinling Mountains in the suburbs are a sea of red leaves. Cotinus coggygria, maple, ginkgo and other tree species are everywhere. From high-altitude peaks to low-altitude river valleys, the layers of red leaves present colorful colors, like a natural oil painting. Visitors can stroll along the mountain trails, shuttle through the red leaf forest, feel the autumn breeze and the red leaves falling, and enjoy this beautiful autumn time.

A Day in Xi’an 🇨🇳

Spending a day in Xi’an? There are PLENTY of things you can do and delicious local food you can try. The Drum tower is a must for you to see (especially at night)! If you want you can go inside, but I’m not sure how much it is. The City Wall (45¥) is beautiful and great to walk on/bike on to enjoy nice views of the city. If you’d like to rent a bike, it costs 45¥ + 100¥ deposit for 3 hours. As for local food, you must try the Biang Biang noodles (hand pulled noodles seasoned with chili, garlic, and Sichuan pepper) Have a great day! #urbanexplorer #foodieheaven #trip #goodfoods #xi'an #china #shaanxi #chinatravel

Zhaojiuji Hot Pot (Bell Tower Branch)

Mala lovers, get ready to be amazed! 🤩 This restaurant serves authentic Chongqing-Sichuan hot pot, known for its fiery, aromatic, and richly spiced flavors! Their red-oil soup base is intensely flavorful, incredibly spicy, yet delightfully fragrant. ✨ Must-try dishes: - Lobster Shrimp Balls - Flaming Cheese Beef Meatballs - Sliced Beef with Tomato, tender and smooth - Fresh Chinese Greens The restaurant's ambiance is street-style local, giving off the vibe of a place where locals gather to eat. The location is excellent! ⭐ It's near the Bell Tower, right next to the Holiday Inn IHG, making it super convenient for those staying in the area. ⚠️ A word of caution... The spiciness here is "not for the faint-hearted." The aroma of red chili and Sichuan pepper is bold and intense, so if you're not used to it, you might feel a bit of a burn.

Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

The Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is located within the Da Ci'en Temple in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. This Buddhist pagoda was constructed during the Tang Dynasty around the year 652 AD (1195 BE). It is a square-shaped pagoda built entirely with bricks in a highly skilled manner. The pagoda stands approximately 64.7 meters tall, with a base height of about 4.2 meters. Its width from north to south measures around 48.8 meters, and the length of the lowest side of the tower is 25 meters. Inside the pagoda, it serves as a repository for the Buddhist scriptures brought from India by the monk Xuanzang (known as Tang Sanzang). Why is it called the "Giant Wild Goose Pagoda"? According to legend, while Xuanzang was traveling through the desert to bring the scriptures from India, he faced a crisis where he nearly died of thirst in the scorching heat. He then saw a flock of wild geese flying by and thought they might be heading towards a water source. Following the geese, he and his group eventually found water and survived. Ultimately, he successfully brought the scriptures to China. To commemorate this event, the pagoda was built and named "Da Ci'en," which translates to "Giant Wild Goose," as a tribute to the incident.

Vibrant Xi'an Culture on Display 🇨🇳

#timetotravel After a long and tiring day of touring around Xi'an, we were taken here to enjoy Xi'an's culture through different stage performances by professional artists in different traditional Chinese costumes. They all looked good in them which totally mesmerized me. The performers totally took all of my attention. I have always loved performances especially when the stage is so vibrant and the overall vibe and atmosphere of the flow isn't monotonous. The music played using different Chinese instruments were just perfect. This theater also serves dinner but since we ate dinner we only opted for some tea. Address: No. 29 Huancheng South Road, Beilin District. Enjoy the experience! Theater' Name: Sunshine Grand Theater #mytripvlog #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #culture #chinatravel

Walking Through History: Xi’an City 🇨🇳

#ancienttownvibes The ancient city walls of Xi’an offer an incredible glimpse into China’s rich history. Stretching over 13 kilometers, these well-preserved fortifications provide stunning views of the city and its mix of old and new. Walking or biking along the top, you can feel the weight of centuries of history beneath your feet, with intricate details on the gates and watchtowers. The walls, which date back to the Ming Dynasty, are a true testament to ancient Chinese architecture and military strategy. A visit to Xi’an’s city walls is both an educational and scenic journey, offering a unique perspective on the city’s past. My rating: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

Xi'an 40 minutes Qinling Mountain private hot spring is amazing

Xi'an 40 minutes Qinling Mountain private hot spring is amazing

Xi'an🚗40 minutes to the foot of Qinling Mountain♨️Private hot springs are amazing 40 minutes from Qujiang, a private hot spring in the independent building in Zhongnan Mountain Village of Zhashui♨️ It's perfect for vacation, dating and taking the kids out. It's in the innermost part of the village. It's very convenient to drive to the other side of the road and park at the bridge head. The lobby is very exquisite and the service is good. After checking in, the housekeeper will help you carry your luggage to the room. We booked a double room with a private hot spring on the first floor and a living room on the second floor. You can use unlimited water yourself. It's real hot spring water! The rooms and bathrooms on the second floor are all very large, especially the terrace, which is very suitable for gatherings in the summer. The privacy of a double room will be better! We had breakfast at the hotel, which was a buffet and very rich. The dishes were delicious. The hotel also had hot springs and a public pool, and they will probably improve the children's paddling pool in the future. There are many small restaurants in Zhongnan Mountain Village right outside the hotel where you can visit. Shangluo Qinling Hot Springs Huajianjing·Linyin The environment is good, suitable for taking children to experience it

【Big Wild Goose Pagoda】Xi'an🇨🇳

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda in Xi'an, the ancient capital of China. It's a popular and lively tourist destination. You can climb to the top of the Pagoda for panoramic views of the city. ✨ You'll need to climb the stairs to the seventh floor, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. The grounds are very spacious, and the plants and traditional Chinese decorations are very beautiful. Estimated time: 2 hours

Departing from Zhejiang | Xi'an 3 Days 2 Nights Family Travel Guide

Departing from Zhejiang | Xi'an 3 Days 2 Nights Family Travel Guide

Bravely exploring Xi'an with the little ones! Sharing the pitfalls I encountered and the experience I summarized with everyone👇 📌Important points first❗❗ ✅Ticket reservation: This is crucial! ① Shaanxi History Museum is free but hard to book, grab tickets exactly at 5:00 PM five days in advance on the official WeChat account! (There is a detailed ticket grabbing guide on the homepage) ② The Museum of the Terracotta Army is more reliable to book directly on the official website; ③ For shows like "Camel Bell Legend," you can buy tickets through other channels like certain apps or platforms, which I personally find more cost-effective. ✅Stroller: A stroller is a lifesaver for little kids, especially when visiting the Tang Paradise at night, a must-bring! But for the Terracotta Warriors, museums with crowds, and the uneven city wall roads, strollers are not recommended. ✅Keep a relaxed mindset: Let go of the "since we're here, we must see everything" idea! When traveling with little kids, respect their pace. 🗓 Itinerary Guide 📍 ✈ Xi'an & hotel rest ➡️ Dinner at Sajinqiao ➡️ Muslim Quarter (mainly to see Gao Family Courtyard shadow puppetry) ➡️ Xi'an City Wall ➡️ Yongxingfang ➡️ Bell Tower/Drum Tower (no climbing) 📍 Lishan Garden ➡️ Terracotta Warriors ➡️ "Camel Bell Legend" show (only took the kids to see Camel Bell, the other two shows are not suitable for kids) 📍 Shaanxi History Museum ➡️ Hotel nap ➡️ Joy City ➡️ Big Wild Goose Pagoda ➡️ Tang Paradise at night (nap for little kids is very important, otherwise they won’t last long at the night scene after 7:00 PM) 🎯 Attraction Guide 1️⃣ Xi'an City Wall You can rent bikes on the wall, cycling route: Yongning Gate → Zhongshan Gate Recommended to go in the evening to see both day and night views, and if the weather is good, you can capture stunning sunsets. 2️⃣ Terracotta Warriors + Lishan Garden Not recommended for little kids; we split up this time (the kids suffered and had no interest at all) Notes: ① I personally suggest visiting in reverse order, Lishan Garden first then Terracotta Warriors (there is a detailed guide on the homepage) ② Please use official guides or pre-download explanation videos on Bilibili ③ You must buy an electric cart ticket for Lishan Garden! The park is huge, walking will make you question your life choices ④ Don’t buy the jade souvenirs at the scenic spots. 3️⃣ Shaanxi History Museum Great for accompanying little kids, and older kids can learn through study tours, as there are really many treasures! If you can’t get a reservation, I recommend the Qin and Han Gallery or the Archaeology Gallery. 4️⃣ Tang Paradise at Night Watch various performance arts; although it’s heavily commercialized, it’s still a must-visit for first-timers to feel the Tang Dynasty atmosphere. 5️⃣ Big Wild Goose Pagoda No ticket needed to enter, just visit the South Square, Joy City 4th floor, and the Tang Da Ci’en Temple Ruins Park, all free check-in spots. 6️⃣ "Camel Bell Legend" Show ✅ The best show overall! The little kids loved it the most, with real wolves running out & a rotating stage, the visual effects are stunning. Highly recommended for kids, more interesting than "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow" and "Mighty Qin" for them. 🏡 Accommodation Guide Near Bell Tower/South Gate or Big Wild Goose Pagoda area (we stayed near Bell Tower) 📌 Finally, Xi'an mainly features noodle dishes, which are a bit salty for kids, so you can request less salt.
