_TI***yzThis restaurant exists inside of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Kaanapali, Maui. We were staying in this hotel all week and we were leaving the day after Father's Day. We came here for Father's Day dinner on June 16th 2024. Our reservations were for 7:30 p.m. We were sat down, two families, two couples and a total of five children. By this time the kids are already hungry so we wanted to order as quick as possible. We didn't have any waiter to take our order for 45 minutes after we were seated. By 8:15 pm, we hunted down the manager, Justin, who decided to take our order himself and volunteered a complaint that "It's Father's Day and a lot of his staff have called out, and they are short staffed." He also stated that they don't normally have this many tables at once. He proceeded to take our order and at the same time another server came and started to take an order from our friends at the table.My wife and I ordered a drink each. My wife wanted hers to be unsweetened and I asked for mine to be made "stronger". I even clarified it by saying " If they can add an extra shot please, that would be great!" I point this out because it is of significance later on.Another half hour goes by, and the order from the manager ended up coming in in short increments, while missing drinks and appetizers. My wife's drink was extremely sweet, and my drink just tasted like watered down nonsense. We both asked them to make our drinks again, but they never did. Also, while it was great that we were finally getting some of the food, our friends still didn't get any of their food. So we tried to wait and see if we can all start eating when their food arrives. 15-20 minutes go by, but it's only so long one can wait before the food gets cold and the kids get antsy and decide to dig in. We ended up rudely having to eat in front of our friends while they didn't have food, and unfortunately were just sitting there getting more upset complaining to anyone who was walking by.Japengo
