The ice cream is so creamy, especially the strawberry and vanilla. Just the right amount of flavour without being too sweet.

Tried the battered haggis on a friend's tip. It's a solid local choice, really flavourful. The place itself has a nice, relaxed vibe – big windows, comfy wooden chairs. Good spot to just unwind.

Grilled lamb chops and seekh kebabs were the highlight. The meat was incredibly juicy, cooked just right, not dry at all. That smoky flavour from the grill really comes through. Always seems fresh.

Salt and pepper chicken panini was my pick. Good portion, fresh ingredients. Got it to go, ready in under 5 minutes. Exactly what you need for a quick lunch.

Decent pub, staff were friendly. The mac and cheese was a solid choice - really liked the crispy breadcrumb topping. They had a movie playing on the screen in the back, which was a nice touch.

Came on a Saturday. Packed, great energy. Music was loud but not overwhelming. Service stayed quick even when busy. Fun spot.

Popped in here to get away from the Royal Mile crowds. The fish and chips was massive, really hit the spot. The batter was crisp and the fish inside was proper flaky. Couldn't finish it all.

Been coming here for years, and that lamb dish is the reason. It’s always perfectly spiced, never overpowering. Just a really solid, flavourful plate. Keeps me coming back.

Stopped in for brunch. The eggs Benedict was pretty good, and the mushroom hash was a decent portion. Service was friendly, though it got a bit slow as the place filled up.

Perfect for a quick pint before the train. The Guinness is solid, and being right by the station is a huge plus. Got me in and out in 20 mins.

The homemade burger is a real standout. Fresh, crunchy toppings and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. Great deal before 4pm with the free fries.

Been coming here for years, and the vibe is always spot on. The setting just hits different.

Cosy spot, lovely decor. Staff were genuinely friendly, not just polite. They took the time to chat about the local ales on tap and helped me pick one that went nicely with the steak pie. That kind of relaxed, knowledgeable service is a real plus. Felt very welcome.

The mint and yoghurt sauce with the poppadoms was just lovely. Really fresh and homemade, you could tell. It had this perfect, cool tang that made the whole starter. The rest was good, but that sauce stuck with me.

Big menu, all the meat cooked properly which is nice. The steaks were good quality, really enjoyed mine. Sides like the fries were just okay. Prices are pretty standard for Edinburgh, maybe a bit cheaper than some spots.

Loved the vibe in this old pub! The building itself is so full of character, perfect for a chilled catch-up with mates. We found a cosy corner and the drinks list was spot on. Just a proper, traditional place for a pint and a good chat.

The cask ales here are a proper treat. I tried one that was new to me, and the bartender knew exactly how to describe it—malty with a hint of something fruity. Really hit the spot.

What a lovely pub! The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. It's a perfect place to relax after a walk around Arthur's Seat.

Came here for a quick lunch. The place is spotless and they have seating inside. I got the chicken rice bowl, and honestly, the portion was a bit small for the price. Felt a little hungry after.

Ordered the chicken tikka masala for pickup. Still steaming when I got home. Phone guy was patient with my questions. Solid takeaway spot.

Nice neighbourhood spot, packed with locals. Got the fish and chips, crispy batter and decent portion. That's the proper pub feel I was after. Bit pricey for what it is, but the vibe's spot on.

The old church setting is stunning, especially the high ceilings and the organ. Makes for a pretty special meal.

Food was really tasty, especially the lamb biryani. Staff were friendly and it's halal, which is great. A bit on the pricier side, but I'll be back.

The staff here are so lovely. We had loads of questions about the menu and they were super patient explaining everything, even though it was getting busy. Made our girls' catch-up feel really relaxed.

We had them cater a small gathering. The portions were generous, and everything tasted lovely. What really stood out was how easy they made the whole process – communication was clear and prompt, which took a lot of the usual stress out of it.

I was really impressed by the selection of Scottish products. The heather honey is so pure, you can really taste the difference. Great for anyone looking for something a bit special.

Stopped by for breakfast three times while in Edinburgh. The food's fresh and there's a good variety to pick from. Really liked the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon option. Staff were always friendly, which made the mornings nice.
