A decent neighbourhood spot with a French twist on Scottish ingredients. The menu's got enough variety to please most. Had the haggis croquettes – pretty good flavour, though the portion felt a touch small for the price.

Nice spot for a pint after a walk. The service was friendly and the place has a decent, traditional feel to it. A pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

Dosa menu is huge, had to ask the server for a recommendation. Went with the classic masala one - came out piping hot, edges were properly crisp. The chutneys were fresh too. Portion felt a bit small for the price, but the quality was there.

Love the fresh ingredients here. The salad was crisp and the chicken was perfectly grilled. A nice spot for a healthy meal.

No. 20 of Bars in Edinburgh

Been here a few times. The grilled fish is always spot on, juicy and not dry. Halloumi fries are decent, good for sharing. It's a cozy spot, feels like a proper local taverna. Prices are fair for the area.

The chicken baguette was the standout. Properly juicy, good flavour. Solid selection of sandwiches and pastries overall. Service was efficient, got my order quickly. Convenient for a working lunch.

The venison haunch was great, but the portion felt a bit small for the price. The house cognac cocktail was a nice touch though.

The server noticed my dish wasn't quite right and swapped it out so quickly, with a genuine smile. That kind of care really stood out.

Cannonball is a fantastic restaurant with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The haggis balls and venison are must-tries!

The doner kebab is the thing here. The meat is always juicy, never dry, and the seasoning is just right. It's consistently good every time I order.

The Croque Madame was spot on, and the staff kept their cool (and good humour) during our big group breakfast. A nice glass of crisp white would have been the perfect pairing.

Stumbled in by chance. The Pizza Stella was just right, the crust had that perfect chewy pull. The whole vibe was so relaxed, didn’t feel rushed at all. A nice little surprise.

The broth in their pho is so clean and light, not greasy at all. That little fried dough stick on the side was a perfect touch.

The staff are always so friendly. Last time they’d run out of the duck, and the chef called our table to suggest a wine-braised lamb as a substitute, no extra charge. That kind of thoughtful service is rare.

A lovely spot for brunch. I really appreciated the gluten-free options. The poached eggs three ways were fresh and well-prepared, the eggs tasted like they were from a good source. The coffee was a highlight, robust and smooth. Staff were friendly and genuine.

Stumbled in for a quick bite. The birria and carne asada tacos were legit. Fresh corn tortillas made all the difference. Felt like a proper taste of Mexico right here in Edinburgh.

The Montreal cheesesteak was tasty, and the wings were solid. But what really stood out was the space itself—high ceilings, lots of natural light, and those comfy booths. It just felt like a really nice, relaxed place to eat.

The pork ragu was fantastic, but the real draw is the daily changing menu. Keeps things interesting.

The sharing roast board has a good variety of meats and all the trimmings. Very generous portion.

The staff were so nice about our luggage - we had a couple of bags with us and they just offered to keep them behind the counter without us even asking. Really appreciated that, made the lunch feel relaxed.

Great spot for a date or a nice night out with friends. The vibe is fancy but still relaxed, which I really liked.

A handy find right by our hotel. The walk to Princess Street was actually quite nice, not too far at all. Made popping out for a bite super easy.

The Neapolitan pizza was a real find. That crust - so light and airy, but with this satisfying crisp underneath. The balance of cheese to toppings felt just right, nothing overpowering. Really enjoyed it.

Nice spot for a relaxed meal. The modern design is pleasant, and the big glass front gives a decent view of the river. Food was pretty good, though the service was a little slow at times.

A decent spot for wings. The Korean BBQ ones were pretty good, mango habanero had a nice kick. A solid choice if you're in the area and fancy that sort of thing. The place was a bit loud, but it's fine for a casual meal.

Popped in for a quick breakfast. The BLT bagel was solid, really fresh. Came with a huge side salad, which was a nice touch. The place itself has a good vibe, and it's just a stone's throw from Dean Village.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Edinburgh, featuring a cozy atmosphere and a diverse menu. The staff is friendly and the cocktails are well-crafted, perfect for a night out.

This pub offers a fantastic atmosphere with traditional Scottish food that is absolutely delicious. The service is friendly and attentive, making it a great spot for families and friends alike.

The set menu is a solid deal. My favourite was the pork belly with lentils - so tender, and those grilled spring onions gave it a lovely smoky flavour. The prawn starter was tasty, just a little on the small side. Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with friends.

Came here with a vegetarian friend, they had some good options. The whipped ricotta was the star, honestly. We ended up ordering a second plate of it.
