The Viennese coffee here is still as rich as the first time I had it. Place keeps its charm, even on a cold winter afternoon.

The cakes look great and taste even better. Tried the chocolate one, really solid. Service gets a bit chaotic when it's packed, but honestly the baking makes up for it.

The tarte flambée was tasty and the price felt fair for the portion. Courtyard seating is nice, service was a bit all over the place though.

The barista actually took a minute to walk me through their pastry menu—nice touch. Coffee was solid, cakes looked great too.

The cakes here are really the main reason to stop by — tried a few and they were solid. Cappuccino came out a bit too milky for me, but that’s fine. Place itself is small and cozy, the kind where you can just sit without feeling rushed. Not fancy, but comfortable enough to stay a while. Would come back for the cake, maybe skip the coffee next time.

Solid coffee spot. Got a smoothie bowl and it hit the spot. Service was quick, no waiting around. Place is small but fine for a quick bite.

Decent spot for breakfast or just coffee and cake. Sat outside, nice view of the market square. Pretty good for a quick stop.

The breakfast buffet had really fresh salmon sandwiches, which I appreciated. Outdoor seating was a nice touch too. Solid choice for a morning meal.

Been coming here for a while now, and the cakes still get me every time. Tried the cherry one this visit—really good, not too sweet. Coffee's fine, nothing fancy. Only thing is you might wait a bit for the bill, but that's not gonna stop me.

The eggnog poppy seed cake was solid—you can tell they bake these themselves. Coffee went well with it. Place gets a bit busy but that's fine.

Stopped by for a matcha latte with strawberry and coconut milk. Solid choice, not too sweet. Cheesecake was decent too. Place is small, got a bit crowded around noon. Service was quick enough for a takeaway. Fine if you're in the area and need a caffeine fix.

Decent spot for a quick breakfast. Parking was easy, which I appreciated. Had the veggie option—pretty good, nothing fancy. Place was busy but not chaotic. Fine if you're in the area and want something simple. Maybe not worth going out of your way for, but it does the job.

Been coming here for a while now, mostly for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Garden seating's still my favourite spot, even when it's a bit chilly. Staff remember me, which is nice. Prices are fair, nothing crazy. Had a slice of their cheesecake last week, still as good as the first time I tried it.

The cakes here are really good, so I'd say stick to those. The scrambled eggs were a bit disappointing though. Still a decent spot for breakfast if you pick the right things.

Cozy enough, but the espresso machine gets loud when it’s busy. Staff were friendly though. Prices felt fair for what you get.

Came on a busy Saturday and the food took a while, but the plating was beautiful and the chai latte was a winner. Just be prepared to wait if you're hungry.

The Saturday breakfast buffet is solid, but the homemade bread alone makes it worth it. Just get there early, it's tiny.

Sat outside with a glass of wine, watching people walk by. Really peaceful spot for an afternoon break. Service was fine, nothing fancy, but the wine list had a couple of decent options. Prices are a bit on the higher side for what you get, but the location makes up for it. Would stop by again if I'm in the area.

Stopped by for a quick coffee and cake. They had some Arabic pastries that day, which was a nice surprise. Service was quick, no hovering. Place was clean, always a plus. Solid spot if you just need something sweet and don't want to wait around.

Stopped by for breakfast inside the fortress walls. Place has a cool vibe, no doubt. Food was fresh, nicely put together. Staff did their job, friendly enough even with the morning rush. Solid spot if you're in the area. Not cheap, but you're paying for the location.

The schnitzel with mushrooms was really good, and the place felt cozy without being cramped. Great spot to hang out with friends for a casual dinner. 😊

The filled gnocchi really stood out to me—soft, slightly chewy, and that filling was a nice surprise. Place itself is warm, lots of wood, cozy lighting. Savory dishes were well plated and fresh. Desserts leaned too sweet for my taste, but honestly didn’t care after that gnocchi. Would come back just for that dish.

Cozy spot with a fountain patio, and the menu had plenty of vegan options. Baristas were patient with my broken German. Prices felt fair for the portion size.

Lovely little café with a nice outdoor seating area. The Bicerin coffee blend is really unique—haven't come across it anywhere else in Mainz. Service was friendly and easygoing.

Nice spot to kick back with a waffle and a glass of wine. The outdoor seating with music makes it easy to stay for another round. 🍷

Nice spot with that old-school European café feel. Got some good pickles and broth to take home, prices were fair for the quality. Staff didn't mind my little one tagging along either.

Lovely terrace and the sweets selection is huge for the price. Got a bit busy, but they let us switch tables away from the smokers. Nice spot.

The hazelnut torte here is the real deal. Dense, nutty, not too sweet. Had a slice with a black coffee, that’s it. The cake list is long, mostly German classics. Service was fine, didn’t need much. Place was busy but I didn’t care. I’d come back just for that torte. Maybe try the plum cake next time.

Stopped by for coffee and cake after cycling along the river. Owner was really kind, even brought out my forgotten scarf. Nice spot to sit and take a break.

The cakes here are really good—I grabbed a slice after shopping at the outlet and it hit the spot. Coffee was solid too. Service was friendly enough, but it did get a bit busy when I was there. Still, a nice little break spot.
