The pepper steak was really good, tender and cooked just right. Staff were friendly too, made the whole thing easy. Tables are a bit close together, so you're almost elbow-to-elbow with the next table. But honestly, the food made up for it. I'd go back for that steak alone.

Loved the Monday quiz night—such a chill spot for students. Staff were friendly and the prices didn’t hurt. Fair for Maastricht, honestly.

Tucked away on a side street, easy to miss. Food was fresh and tasty, service friendly enough. Good pit stop if you're already in the area.

Posh Corn Eggs with avocado and bacon hit the spot—ordered it three days running. Nice they still made me scrambled eggs after the cutoff.

Solid spot for a quick coffee and bite. Relaxed vibe, easy to hang around longer than I meant to. Service was quick enough for a lunch break.

The mussels & frites were spot on, really fresh and the portion was generous. Good beer list too. Service stayed friendly even when it got busy. Solid spot.

Came here with a few friends and honestly had such a chill time. The staff didn’t even blink when we brought our little dog along, which was a huge plus. We ordered the mussels with fries and a bottle of wine—classic combo, hit the spot. Place has a nice relaxed vibe for hanging out. Would come back if I’m in the area again 🙂

Decent 3-course menu for €30, that's fair. My pizza came out a bit burned on the edges but honestly still tasty. Service was friendly and chill. Good spot if you're hanging with friends. 😊

Kalypta is a hidden gem in Leuven with a vibrant atmosphere and great music. The food is not only tasty but also beautifully presented, making it a wonderful dining experience.

The cappuccino was genuinely good—real milk, proper foam, not that burnt taste you get in a lot of places. I paired it with a glass of their house red, which worked better than expected. Cozy spot to just sit and watch the street. Only downside, the music got a bit loud later on.

Stopped by for tapas and cocktails — the patatas bravas were solid, and the gin tonic hit the spot. Place has a nice buzz without being too loud. Staff checked in just enough, not annoying about it. Wouldn’t mind coming back sometime.

Nice spot with a relaxed vibe. Good range of bitterballen and a rotating tap list that keeps things interesting. The bar area is pretty chill.

Ask for the English menu at the bar—took a sec but they were helpful. Food was fresh, flavors came through well. Solid spot for a quick meal.

Right on the Grand Place, terrace is perfect for just sitting and watching people go by. Had a beer and something to eat, both were fine. Service was a bit short but nothing crazy. Prices are what you'd expect for the location.

We ate upstairs in the old castle part. Nice vibe, kind of what you hope for in a place like this. Food was decent, nothing crazy but solid. Only thing is if you’ve got trouble with stairs, the upper floor isn’t really accessible. That’s a bit of a letdown. Still, for a casual meal out, it did the job.

We were stood waiting for 10 minutes to even be said hello to. The only waitress was distracted and more focused on stocking fridges than serving. The food was not great either. The rabbit was tough and dry and the fondue tasted way too strongly of wine. Wouldn’t go back

Came here after the French Open final, mostly to get out of the rain. The toastie was actually decent—cheese pulled properly, bread crispy. Coffee did the job too. Place was packed but that added to the vibe. Paid €14 for the toastie and a cappuccino, which felt fair for the area. Wouldn't mind coming back on a quieter day though.

The ribs were properly sticky and the sauce had a real kick to it. Potato wedges on the side, nothing fancy but done right. Cozy enough inside, even with the market bustle right outside.

Solid burgers and the ribs were properly juicy. Malbec from Argentina went way better with the food than I expected for this part of town. Place feels like a real upgrade from before.

Reasonable prices and a big menu of Belgian classics. Staff were friendly and we got our food quick. Solid spot for a filling lunch.

Stopped by for a kriek and honestly the selection is solid. Had the framboise, it was fresh and not too sweet. Place gets a bit loud later in the evening though. Fine if you just want a quiet beer earlier.

Came for the match and stayed for the food. The grilled chicken salad was fresh, not overdressed. Beer was cold, service quick. Fine spot if you want a relaxed evening.

Cozy spot with a proper Dutch bites menu. Staff knew their beers and helped me pick something that paired well with the bitterballen. Nice and warm inside on a chilly evening.

Oysters and Wagyu carpaccio were spot on, but the Holstein steak really stole it for me. Owner checked in on us a couple times, nice touch. Crepes Suzette for dessert, proper way to end.

Nice spot on the terrace by the abbey ponds. Food's okay, standard brasserie stuff. Bit pricey for what you get, but the setting makes up for it.

Food’s decent, had the pasta and it was fine. Place gets packed with locals, which is always a good sign. Service though, kinda slow when it’s busy. Took a while to get the bill. Not a big deal if you’re not in a rush.

Nice cocktails, friendly service. Music was a bit loud for chatting though, and drinks aren't cheap. Still a decent spot to unwind.

Cozy little place, we sat near the window and it was just right for a quiet evening. Didn't try the pub quiz but the vibe seemed fun. Food was decent, nothing fancy but satisfying. Service was friendly enough, though we did wait a bit for the bill. Wouldn't mind coming back sometime.

On 14.04.26, me and my boyfriend had our first date here. It was not the first time I have been there, and it was always the same- classy, simple yet sophisticated. The staff is friendly and pleasant, the lighting is perfect for an intimate gathering, but also formal enough that you feel comfortable getting to know someone. The drinks are changed seasonally! The cocktails picture is from 28.02.26🤍
