TheForkUserLunch for seven on a wet and windy day. Food was excellent and attractively presented. The service was excellent, with happy, helpful staff, although the restaurant was not crowded at 2.30pm. Importantly, the bar and restaurant rooms were not crammed into the place - there was room to breathe. Also, the carpeted floor in the restaurant area made a huge difference to the acoustics - we could enjoy the food and the conversation.I'd be happy to recommend the Devil's Dyke to anyone.

There was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, with excellent background music, which was quiet enough not to spoil conversation. When it got dark outside, the change in the lighting changed the ambience, which I really liked. I would highly recommend the Vista Bar Cafe at The View hotel.

TheForkUserSuch a little gem. I felt like we'd walked in to where the Thursday Murder Club was set (Richard Osman's novel in case you were wondering). Sandwiches were delicious - variety of flavours and very fresh. Not sure if the scones were homemade but they were lovely with very tasty jam and generous clotted cream.
