The view of the beach at sunset was stunning. Food was solid, nothing crazy, but that atmosphere carried it. Service kept it easy.

We did the deluxe sharing menu and it covered a good range. The prawn carpaccio was the standout for me. Staff were friendly without hovering. Prices felt fair for what you get. Only thing is the place got a bit loud later on, but that's on us for the timing. Decent spot overall.

Friendly welcome in Dutch and French, which was a nice touch. My steak came exactly as ordered, and the wine was reasonably priced. Good spot for a simple, honest meal.

Back after 7 months, still solid. Belgian cappuccino was really good. Eggnog came in a little cone, generous portion for the size.

Stopped by for a quick bite and the stoofvlees really hit the spot. Fries were crispy too. Solid spot if you're in the area and want something easy.

The veggie bowl was solid — big enough that I didn’t feel like I needed a snack an hour later. Flavor was there too. Just wish they’d add more tofu or nuts on top. For the price, it’s decent, but a little extra protein would’ve made it feel like a better deal.

The pasta was decent but nothing crazy. Sauce had good flavor, though the portion felt small for the price. Wouldn't rush back.

The V60 El Salvador was a nice change after all the espressos I'd been having. Place was quieter than other coffee spots nearby, so I could actually sit and enjoy it without rushing. Staff left me alone but checked in once, which felt right. Just wish the cup was a bit bigger for the price.

Stopped by for a late drink, ended up chatting with the owner about beer for way longer than planned. Place was quieter than the others around, which I didn’t mind. Good spot if you just want to sit and not shout over music. 🍺

Sushi was decent, price fair for the portion. Student discount is a nice bonus. Dessert buffet saved the meal honestly. Don't expect a huge roll selection though.

The Kenyan filter coffee was poured properly—not too fast, not too slow—and it showed in the cup. Bright, clean finish. I paired it with a small pastry, though honestly the coffee held its own. Staff let me sit and read without hovering. Cozy spot, easy to lose an afternoon here. Would come back for that pour again.

The spaghetti was a solid portion and I liked that they had Tabasco on the table. Sangria was decent for the price. Nothing fancy but it hit the spot.

The smoked salmon tartare was spot on, and the steak with Choron sauce didn't disappoint either. A solid glass of Sancerre made it all come together nicely for lunch.

Great beer list and the terrace was perfect for people-watching. Staff actually knew their stuff when I asked for a pairing. 🍺

Decent spot for fish and chips. Aperitifs were generous, fish well-prepared. Place fills up fast, so book ahead. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.

The moules were spot-on and the waiter actually knew his wine list. Picked a nice Sancerre to go with them. Service was quick enough, no complaints.

We came with our dog and they were totally fine about it, which was nice. The lunch menu felt a bit more refined than what you'd expect for the price. Owners were friendly without being over the top. Pretty good spot if you're in the area and want something calm. Just note it can get a little quiet, but that suited us fine.

Decent spot near the centre of Ypres. Portions are generous and prices fair. Had the chicken curry and noodle soup, both pretty good. Nothing fancy, but fine for a casual meal. Maybe slightly busy at lunchtime, but that's about it.

The fish soup was actually decent, not too salty, and the pasta had a nice bite to it. Mocktails were fresh, not overly sweet like most places. Place is clean, nothing fancy, but you get what you pay for. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Stayed here for a night and the room was proper spacious. Bed was comfy, slept well. Breakfast in the morning was solid, more than enough to fill you up. There's a little café downstairs too, which is handy, but it shuts pretty early so didn't get to use it much. Fine for what I needed.

Garlic soup was the standout for me — proper rich and warming. Loaded fries were decent too, though I wish there were more toppings. Prices felt fair for the area, especially with the location being so central. Cozy little spot, easy to miss from the outside. Would go back for that soup alone honestly.

The Mikado crepe is still my go-to here. Vanilla, chocolate, fresh cream... they don't skimp on the filling, which matters when you're paying around €8. Service was fine, no complaints. Only thing is finding a seat can be a bit of a hustle, especially on weekends. But for the portion you get, I think it's fair.

Cozy spot with a few different rooms—actually quiet enough to hear each other talk. Food was solid, staff friendly. Glad we stumbled in.

The sangria pairing was spot on with the tapas. Churros were the highlight, messy but worth it. Service kept things moving.

Kids had a blast at the playground, so we actually got to eat in peace. Food was solid, nothing crazy but well made. Service friendly enough.

Stopped by for lunch after a walk on the beach. Paella was solid, plenty of seafood, and the poke bowl tasted fresh. They were careful with our son's allergy, which I appreciated. Had a glass of Albariño with it—worked nicely with the rice. Place was a bit busy but we didn't wait long. Fine spot if you're in the area.

Stumbled in without expecting much. The food was seriously good, lived up to the Gault Millau thing. Place looks nice too.

Group of 12, still felt calm. Not loud, not rushed. Food came quick, plates were full. Solid spot for a bigger group without the chaos. Just wish the waiter checked in a bit more. But honestly, no complaints.
