Must-Order Dishes: Colorful Nine-Grid Platter / Mengxin Hand-Cut Lamb / Fresh Lamb Ribs / Milk Tofu Pancake
⏰Opening Hours: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (Weekends: Get a number in advance)
How can you miss this popular hotpot restaurant in Tongliao? I waited two hours to get a table, but the first bite of lamb was worth it! The nine-grid platter is both beautiful and delicious, with each grid containing a different cut of fresh lamb.
The Mengxin hand-cut lamb truly amazed me! The meat is tender and savory, with a unique grassland aroma. It's ready to eat in just 8 seconds, and pairs perfectly with their special chive sauce. The lamb ribs are incredibly evenly fattened, melting in your mouth without a greasy taste!
The most surprising part was the milk tofu pancake! Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich milky flavor without being too sweet. I recommend this as a dessert after your hot pot meal!
The setting is incredibly unique! The mix of Mongolian yurt elements and modern decor makes any photo a standout. The prices are also very affordable, at 80 yuan per person, you'll have to lean against the wall to eat!
Tips:
1. Come during off-peak hours (less crowded between 2 and 5 pm).
2. The milk tofu pancakes must be eaten hot to achieve their full crispness.
3. Order some chilled yogurt to help with the greasiness.

In the far north, there is a vast grassland that tells a thousand-year story in an ancient and mysterious way, attracting countless travelers to embark on a journey of exploration. If you have never set foot on the soul of this land when you come to Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, you cannot be said to have truly experienced the various customs of the grassland. And in this vast expanse, Naiman Banner is like a shining pearl, quietly waiting for every traveler to visit. We drove there, full of curiosity and yearning for the unknown. When the four words "Saiwai Tianrun" came into view, it was as if a door that traveled through time and space slowly opened, leading us into a feast of taste buds and culture. This hot pot restaurant is not only a place to dine, but also a microcosm of human history, perfectly blending the ruggedness and delicacy of the grassland. Here, we ordered a carefully prepared set meal, as if it was a double tribute to vision and taste. The mutton in Inner Mongolia, with its unparalleled deliciousness, became the protagonist of this feast. The meat is tender and chewy, and every bite is an extreme tease to the taste buds, making people sigh: "The sky is vast, the wilderness is vast, and the wind blows the grass low to see cattle and sheep." Compared with the mutton in Jiangsu, the mutton here is more pure and natural, as if every fiber contains the fragrance and freedom of the grassland. However, the charm of Saiwai Tianrun is far more than that. In addition to mutton, there are also a wide variety of seafood and other ingredients. They are like wild flowers on the grassland. Although they are not as dazzling as mutton, they embellish this ocean of food in their own way. Put them gently into the boiling hot pot, and wait for the wisps of heat to rise, it is a perfect encounter between ingredients and heat. At that moment, the taste buds seem to be awakened, and the whole world becomes fresh. The decoration in the store is simple but elegant, and every detail reveals the ingenuity of the owner. Dining here is not only a taste enjoyment, but also a baptism of the soul. It allows us to feel the profound heritage and unique charm of grassland culture while tasting delicious food. Saiwai Tianrun is a place that makes people linger. It tells the story of the grassland and conveys the warmth of humanity with delicious lamb, rich food and considerate service. Here, we not only tasted the essence of food, but also experienced the true meaning of travel - feeling the charm of culture while walking and savoring the beauty of life while tasting. #美食寻味之旅 #Line up for hot pot
I had eaten their mutton hotpot when I traveled to Inner Mongolia before. I was still thinking about it when I left💕 I didn’t expect to drive to Chengdu in a blink of an eye. I don’t have to go to the place of origin for this bite🐑 - ✅ Ice-breaking mutton hotpot Super 🈶 sense of ceremony, it was served in an ice box, and when it was hit with a hammer, the ice broke and mist came out, accompanied by flower petals🌸, I didn’t expect mutton hotpot to be so romantic❤️🔥 - ✅ Stretched milk tofu It has the delicate and tenderness of tofu, and the softness and flexibility of cheese. The aroma is mellow and lasting, as if it can bring people back to the vast grassland in an instant🍃 - ✅ Green Grassland Snow Ice After eating mutton🐑 Another high-value dessert is also indispensable, There are two lambs on top, which are both beautiful and delicious, A perfect artifact for relieving greasiness🍦 - 🔖Saiwai Tianrun Fresh Lamb Hotpot (First Store in Chengdu) 📍No. 521, Ronghua South Road, Wuhou District, 2nd Floor (Starbucks escalator directly accessible) - #Saiwai Tianrun Chengdu First Store#Chengdu Shabu-shabu Lamb #Mutton Hotpot#Ice-breaking Lamb Brain #0 Yuan to Play in This City #Quality Author Chasing Light Plan #Use Food Road Book to Open the City Map #Green Grassland #Chengdu Food #Food Ten-day Taste Meeting #Food Only Local Food
💫Tongliao, a city where you can experience the culture, grasslands and deserts of Inner Mongolia without going far. The area is vast and sparsely populated, the city is clean, and you can taste local specialties. It is a good choice for a short trip. 📍Route: Dalian-Tongliao-Naiman Banner Baogutu 📍Day1 Dalian-Tongliao: 6.5 hours by car, we set off at noon and arrived at night to eat directly. 📍Day2 Tongliao-Naiman Banner Baogutu: There are two major deserts around, Kulun and Naiman. We chose Naiman Banner Baogutu, which takes 2.5 hours by car. It is recommended to arrive in the afternoon. You can check in other surrounding scenic spots in the morning. See the next article for a detailed guide to Baogutu Desert Park. 📍Food: Be sure to eat an authentic Mongolian meal and mutton hot pot. The mutton here is delicious and inexpensive, and the milk tea is sweet. The restaurants we went to were all recommended by locals: 1️⃣"Hachuhai" (Mongolian cuisine), the store decoration is very ethnic, you can also order singing and dancing performances, there will be Mongolian girls offering you Hada and Mongolian dance, and singing authentic Mongolian folk songs on the spot. 2️⃣"Saiwai Tianrun" (mutton hot pot + barbecue), there is no need to mention mutton, and grilled milk tofu and Mongolian pie are highly recommended. 📍Essential items: sunscreen, mosquito repellent, sun hat #A safe place for nearby tours #Self-driving tour #A good place for self-driving in summer
It seems to be a big restaurant, but the service is terrible. You have to shout to the waiter, and you have to rush to serve the dishes. The cold dishes were served when we were almost done drinking. Fortunately, I took a quick look at the menu and forgot to order several plates of meat, and some of them were wrong. Don't even mention the checkout. The card charged in other chain stores cannot enjoy the member price in Jianguo store. Then they persuaded me to charge another card, saying that the new store has a big discount. I am convinced. Goodbye, it's a nuisance.
