Tucked right off the main square, easy to walk past. Cozy spot though. Had the lamb stew, meat was properly tender, sauce had real depth. Prices fair for what you get, especially that location. Only gripe, service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it.

Warm welcome and the staff actually knew their wine list&mdash;helped me pick a nice red to go with the steak. Cozy vibe inside, perfect for a slow dinner.

The steak pie was the real deal&mdash;flaky crust, proper chunks of meat. I had a decent Belgian ale with it, which cut through the richness nicely. Portion was generous for the price, honestly. Place was busy but I didn&#39;t feel rushed. Would come back just for that pie again.

The cakes are decent and fairly priced. Also handy that they take non-German bank cards &mdash; not always a given around here.

The waffles and hot chocolate are still as good as the first time I came here. Rich and warming on a cold day. That&#39;s why I keep coming back.
