The Sunday roast was served in a giant Yorkshire pudding, which was a nice touch. Loads of meat and veg tucked inside. Felt very cosy and generous for the price.

Great spot just a stroll away. The small plates are perfect for sharing with a group, left us all satisfied.

Decent selection of beers on tap, and the prices are fair. The house red was a surprisingly good match with the steak and ale pie.

Love a proper pub without TVs blaring. The real ale selection is huge, had a lovely pint of their house bitter. Perfect spot for a proper chat over a pint.

Brought my pup here for a quick catch-up with friends. They actually have a little menu for dogs! My dog got the grilled chicken breast, and he was so happy. It’s such a nice spot if you want to bring your furry friend along. The staff were really sweet about it too.

Nice, quiet spot for a relaxing meal. The place is clean and has a good layout. Staff were helpful without hovering, which I always appreciate. A solid choice when you just want a peaceful evening out.

A power cut during our meal! The staff were calm and kept things going with candles. It was a bit of an adventure, honestly. The food still arrived, and I appreciated that my salad felt fresh despite the flickering light.

The wine list is solid, and the staff really know their stuff. Just a really relaxed spot for a quiet dinner. The low lighting and those big, comfy booths make it easy to unwind.

The open fire was so lovely on a chilly night. The whole place felt warm and cosy. I had the lamb stew, which was just right – tender and full of flavour. A really nice spot to unwind.

This is my local, and I love the vibe. It's always clean and cosy, with a proper pub feel. The staff are genuinely friendly and always happy to chat.

Had a party here. The staff were so attentive, really made it feel effortless. The space itself has this warm, inviting vibe that just puts everyone at ease.

Saturday lunch was so relaxed. The panini and chicken burger were nice, and service was quick. Rosie was lovely.

The banana blossom ‘fish’ was surprisingly good, crispy outside and flaky inside. The chips were perfect, proper chunky and golden. Mushy peas on point. A solid vegan option that actually feels like a treat.

Loved the croquettes here! They've got a Welsh twist that made them a fun little surprise. The rest of the tapas were solid, but those were the standout for me.

The staff really knew their beers and were happy to suggest a few. I appreciated that they took the time to explain the ingredients in each one, which helped me pick something that fit my preferences. Very helpful.

A quiet spot for a pint, and they welcome dogs outside. The outdoor seating is comfortable, even for a longer visit. It’s just a nice, relaxed place when the sun's shining.

The Kwak beer in its proper glass is a treat, but it's a bit pricey. The shoe deposit thing is quirky! The hummus platter was solid. You're paying for the branded glassware and the experience, I suppose.

The margarita here is a standout. Really good balance of tequila and lime, not too sweet. Just a solid, classic version done right. One of the better ones I've had around Chester.

Tried their festive menu last week. The Christmas specials were really well done, chef clearly knows his stuff. Portions were decent for the price. Bit of a wait for the main course though.

Lovely spot tucked away from the main street. Sat on the terrace with local beers on tap, really enjoyed the relaxed vibe.

Lovely pub, and the beer garden is a real gem on a sunny day. The atmosphere is always lively, which is nice. Just a heads up, it can get quite crowded, so maybe aim for an off-peak time if you prefer a quieter spot.

Been coming here for years for the Sunday roast. The beef is always cooked just right, not dry at all. Comes with all the usual bits - Yorkshire pudding, roasties, the lot. Good portion for the price. It's my regular spot.

Had a big group dinner. Evie and Poppy handled our table well. Everything came out on time. Made the evening easy.

Been coming here for years. The pork baps and sausage rolls are still solid pub food. A proper pint to go with it, and you're sorted for a quiet evening. Can't ask for much more.

Nice traditional pub, very cosy inside. The beer garden is a real bonus, especially on a sunny day. Had a pint there after a long walk, it was just what I needed. The staff were friendly and the whole place has a relaxed feel.

Been coming here for years, and their Thai curries are always spot on. The red and green ones are my go-to. That Monday/Wednesday deal with a starter, main, and a drink for under £15 is a proper steal. It’s why I keep coming back.

Booked a private wine tasting with Tom. He was friendly, and the selection was interesting. Staff knew their stuff. Ended up staying longer than planned.

The Guinness here is spot on. It's got that perfect creamy head and the deep, roasty flavour you want. They pour it properly. The rest of the drinks selection is solid, but that's the one I keep coming back for.
