The chips are better now, they've got this peppery seasoning and they leave the skins on. Good texture from that. Still, I'd take them a bit crispier. The gravy was thick, really good with them.

Food was really tasty, especially the lamb biryani. Staff were friendly and it's halal, which is great. A bit on the pricier side, but I'll be back.

The staff here are so lovely. We had loads of questions about the menu and they were super patient explaining everything, even though it was getting busy. Made our girls' catch-up feel really relaxed.

We had them cater a small gathering. The portions were generous, and everything tasted lovely. What really stood out was how easy they made the whole process – communication was clear and prompt, which took a lot of the usual stress out of it.

I was really impressed by the selection of Scottish products. The heather honey is so pure, you can really taste the difference. Great for anyone looking for something a bit special.

Family-run spot, really cosy. The gyoza were honestly the best I've ever had - perfect crisp on the outside, juicy filling. Sashimi pieces were generous and fresh. That katsu curry was spot on. Prices are fair for what you get. Staff were lovely.

Stopped by for breakfast three times while in Edinburgh. The food's fresh and there's a good variety to pick from. Really liked the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon option. Staff were always friendly, which made the mornings nice.

Mezemeze....the friendly restaurant with a friendly and professional team. The food was excellent..5 Stars. Many thanks for one of the best lunch in Edinburgh Town.

A lovely little spot. The homemade scones are great and really good value. The volunteers are so friendly, service is just a bit relaxed sometimes.

The kitchen was really humming even when they were packed. My steak came out piping hot and perfectly cooked.

Great spot by the castle. The portions are huge and everything was fresh and hot. Kids were happy!

Been coming here for years, and the coffee's always spot on. It's the one thing I know won't change. Just a consistently good flat white, every single time.

First time here and loved the vibe. The building has so much history, you can feel it in the old wooden floors and the quirky layout. A proper local spot.

Such a sweet little family-run place. We rocked up super late on a Friday and they still squeezed us in. The vibe was so relaxed, just right for catching up with mates over a long dinner.

My regular spot for a quick bite. Food's always reliable, and the staff are super friendly. The new refurb makes it a bright, cheerful space now. Perfect for a fast lunch.

The staff were really helpful with my allergy questions. They brought over a detailed menu and took their time explaining everything. Service was quick and friendly, which made for a relaxed evening. A solid spot if you have dietary needs.

Came for Valentine's lunch. The Eton Mess was just right, not too sweet, and the mini apple crumble still warm. We cleared both plates. Nice little treat.

Stayed here for a quick business trip. Rooms are spacious and clean, exactly what you need. The price was right for a no-frills stay.

James is always so helpful and kind. Makes dining out with children much easier.

A classic old pub with a lot of local history. The front bar is cosy for a quiet pint, but I much preferred the back area. The seating there is so comfortable, you can really settle in and relax. It makes for a very pleasant, easy-going visit.

Caitlin was our server during the packed dinner rush. She was really on it—checked in just enough, kept our drinks topped up without us asking. Made a hectic night feel easy.

Spaghetti and meatballs hit the spot. The meatballs were huge, sauce had a nice tang to it. Just what I needed on a random Tuesday.

Been a few years. Place got a nice refresh inside. Lamb chops and tikka platter starter were solid, naan was good too. Quick lunch sorted.

Been coming here for years. The vegan menu is a nice touch, and they always have the dairy-free spread ready.

The vegan haggis chimichangas are a solid choice. Good flavour, and they're generous with the vegan cheese.

The chicken here is always spot on - juicy inside with a nice crisp skin. Ordering with the QR code is so quick, our food came out in no time. Really handy when you're just popping in for a bite.

Our server Paul was great. Really knew the menu, suggested the pork belly and it was spot on. Made the whole thing easy.

Management clearly cares about staff and cleanliness. The team was constantly wiping down tables and surfaces during our lunch. It's a small thing, but it makes a difference for a quick business meal. The place felt well-run and efficient.

Been coming here for years, and the staff always remember my name. Makes it feel like a proper local spot, even though it's right in the centre. They're just genuinely nice people.
