Stopped in before my train. Quick service, friendly. The place looks like it gets lively when they have events on.

Popped in for a quick pint and some loaded fries. The portion of fries was huge, honestly could have shared it with a friend. Good for the price.

The outdoor terrace overlooking St. Andrew's Square is a lovely spot. Spent a sunny afternoon there just watching the world go by. Only thing was a bit of cigarette smoke drifted over a couple of times, but the view made up for it.

Perfect spot for a pre-show bite near the Playhouse. The mini fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, fluffy inside. Chicken skewers were tasty too. Staff were really friendly and got us out in good time.

The daily soup is a real highlight. I had the broccoli and blue cheese one today - the ingredients tasted so fresh. A lovely, comforting lunch option.

Stopped in for the vegan fish and chips. The jackfruit and nori combo actually works, and the portion is huge. Skinny fries were spot on, really crispy. Solid choice if you're in the area.

The baristas here clearly know their craft. Latte art is consistently well-executed, and the coffee itself is reliably good. A solid choice for a business meeting or a quick, quality caffeine fix.

Popped in for a quick bite. That Christmas special roll was a proper treat – square sausage, hash brown, and a spicy-sweet cranberry jam. Really hit the spot. Staff were lovely, but yeah, it's a squeeze to find a seat.

Decent spot for a quick bite after the castle. Sat outside, caught a bit of the view. Food was okay, nothing fancy but it did the job. A bit pricey for what it was, but you're paying for the location I suppose.

The old vaults are a cool setting. The ingredients in my salad tasted really fresh.

Such a nice change from the usual dark pub vibe! The space is so bright and colourful, it just feels really welcoming. The staff were super friendly too.

Been coming here for years, and the pizza dough is consistently spot on. Light, flavourful, and always hits the mark.

The pulled mushroom chili was really good, and I appreciated that the staff asked about allergies before we ordered. Nice spot.

Stayed at the hostel, so this was my go-to spot. The breakfast is a decent option for the price – you get a full plate, not just a token croissant. Good for fueling up before a day out.

The smoked salmon starter was really nice. The salad was pretty good too, though the portion was a bit on the small side.

The spicy chicken burger was so flavourful, and the chicken was a proper generous piece. The fries were light and crispy, which was a nice touch. Service was considerate, too.

The staff are so friendly, it really makes a difference. I always get the Scottish breakfast, the tattie scones are the best part. Just a lovely, comfortable place to eat.

Decent spot for a pint. The split-level layout is nice, makes it feel bigger inside than it looks. Comfortable seating by the window for people-watching. The main area is fine too, though it can get a bit loud when busy.

Nice little pub. Had the pierogi, portion was huge! Could barely finish it. Beer selection's decent. The old oval bar is pretty cool.

A nice little find off Nicolson Street. The coffee was a pleasant surprise alongside the usual drinks.

The pea soup was really good, thick and warming. Nice to know it's a Robert Burns thing, and the place has been around forever. Just a solid, classic pub vibe.

The salted caramel brownie is solid. Coffee was good, a straightforward pairing for a mid-afternoon break. Service was efficient.

The cask ale here is always spot on. They keep the lines clean, so the beer tastes fresh and crisp. It's a proper pub pour, not like some places where it's warm and flat.

Staff are always so friendly here. They gave us some really good menu suggestions, which was helpful as we were a bit overwhelmed by the choices. Felt very welcome.

A nice lunch spot. The fish and chips came out quickly, which I always appreciate. The server was polite and came by once to see if we needed anything else. It made for a relaxed, easy meal.

Fish and chips for a quick lunch. Fish was crispy, chips were decent. Got my order in under 10 minutes, which is what I needed. Good spot for a fast bite.

The open fire makes it feel so cosy, especially on a chilly evening. I love their sundaes, they're a proper treat after the roast. Staff are always smiling, even when it's packed.
