Unique Restaurant  tucked away in Portal but worth finding. Food was traditional Portuguese food. The service was good and friendly.  The wine by the bottle we had was local and made in traditional Clay Amphoras at &euro;10 others at &euro;16. We will return.

Everything about O Trovador was amazing.  The food was absolutely delicious and the service warm, attentive and friendly.  The venison is among the best we&rsquo;ve ever had and you just have to have the garlic prawns!

Small place, but honestly the food hit the spot. They even brought out a little dessert on the house at the end, which I wasn&#39;t expecting. The seating is a bit tight though, not gonna lie. I could hear pretty much every conversation around me. Still, I&#39;d go back for the meal itself.

It is located at the heart of the city&#39;s historic centre close to the ancient Roman Temple of &Eacute;vora and Cathedral of &Eacute;vora. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and has a cozy ambience.

The staff here were so welcoming, made me feel right at home. Food tasted properly homemade, not like a chain. Portion was generous for the price, left full and happy. Definitely a spot I&#39;d come back to when craving something comforting.

The goat cheese salad really stood out, and the staff kept the water glasses full without hovering. Place is small but cozy. My wine pairing was decent, though nothing mind-blowing.

Decent spot for a nicer meal. The tasting menu with wine pairing was pretty good, local ingredients came through well. Service was friendly, though it did feel a bit formal for my taste.

No menu, just whatever they bring. Oxtail and the braised pork were the best. House wine worked well with everything. Felt like a proper meal, not a tourist thing. Price was fair for what you get.

The beef was decent &mdash; cooked properly and pretty tender. Staff were friendly enough, and the place had a relaxed vibe. Had a quiet dinner there and it worked fine for what I wanted. Nothing fancy, but I&rsquo;d probably go back if I&rsquo;m in the area again.

The dogfish soup was so good, proper Alentejo taste. Owner was lovely and helped us pick. Great spot for a catch-up with friends 🙂

Nice spot by Fonte das 3, fresh ingredients in the salad. Menu could use more local dishes though.

Nice spot to grab a drink. Cocktails were solid, bartender knew what he was doing. Decor&#39;s got that warm, classy vibe. Not too loud either, could actually talk. Was a good way to end the night.

Delicious lunch of borrego assado with a demi of very good house red, service impeccable and friendly, intimate atmosphere, five stars!

Staff very helpful. Food excellent and we&rsquo;ll presented Couldn&rsquo;t not answer your question about noise. Is a little box quiet or does it mean it&rsquo;s rated poorly. Not noisy at all.

The chef has tried and succeeded in offering old fashioned Portuguese recipes with a new, modern twist.  Food was of excellent quality, creative, well presented and above all delicious. The seeded bread with the carrot cream was to die for. Nice wine list, excellent service.

Generous portions for the price, that&#39;s for sure. The grilled fish was fresh and the veggies weren&#39;t soggy. Service was fine, nothing fancy.

An all around great evening. Food was superb and remarkably reasonable in price, the small simply furnished restaurant was completely filled with happy diners deep in conversation, and the space was very comfortable. Our servers were gracious and friendly and eagerly offered suggestions. All was good.

Wow! From the moment we entered we knew we were in for a special evening. The place itself is just amazing! Great art, great music, everywhere you look there is something unusual to catch the eye.The food choice/menu was very good and our waiter, Vasco, explained how the sharing concept worked. Stopped by for lunch after checking out the auction house nearby. Got the bife &agrave; cortador&mdash;meat was properly fresh, cooked just right. Portions are generous, staff actually helped us figure out what to order. Nothing fancy about the place, but it doesn&#39;t need to be. Solid spot if you&#39;re in the area and want a proper steak.

The broad bean pur&eacute;e with pork ribs was the star &mdash; garlic marinade really came through. Sweet potato with chili was a nice touch too.

The food and wine were excellent. To top everything off, the prices were very reasonable. We recommend the veal steak, which was our best meal in Portugal. Clearly TascaTosca Tosca is a hidden gem.

The a&ccedil;orda with cod was really good &mdash; broth nicely seasoned, not too salty. Black pork cheek was tender too. Prices felt fair for the quality, especially compared to places closer to the tourist spots.
