Wasn&#39;t sure what to expect, but the sake beer was interesting. Light, a bit fruity. The champagne ale too, crisp. Not something you see every day.

Simple lunch with a nice view of the slopes. The quiche plate was tasty, proper hotel food.

The owners are so sweet. They&rsquo;re an older couple, and even though my Japanese isn&rsquo;t great, they were really patient and kind. You can tell they care about their customers. It&rsquo;s a nice, personal touch you don&rsquo;t always get.

Just arrived at Nagano Station and walked across the street for a quick lunch. The English menu made ordering efficient. Had the soba set - solid and exactly what I needed. Service was prompt. Good for a straightforward meal when you get off the train.
