Go for the 100% buckwheat soba. The extra charge is small, and you can really taste the difference.

Open 24 hours, so perfect for late-night hangs. The microwave to heat up your food is a nice touch for sharing plates with friends.

The portions here are generous for the price. I ordered the grilled fish set and couldn't finish the rice. Good for a filling meal.

Perfect quick bite after a hike. Got the soba soup and bamboo shoot rice. Soup was rich and hot, rice was filling. Exactly what I needed. Fast service too.

Just stumbled upon this little cafe next to Komoro Station. The garden out back is so peaceful, with benches tucked away among the plants. Sat there for ages with my iced coffee, watching the local trains come and go. A really nice find.

Convenient spot near the bus center, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends after wandering around. The parking was a huge plus for our group. We shared the pasta and it was just right for a casual catch-up.

Stopped by for a late lunch. The pork cutlet was perfectly crisp, and the udon noodles had a nice, firm texture. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients. The couple running the place are so kind. A very cozy, family-style spot.

The syphon coffee here is very good. The owner's dogs are friendly and make the place feel relaxed.

Came right after the hot spring. Got a seat at opening, but it filled up fast. The ramen broth was really rich and warming, perfect for after a soak. A bit on the salty side for me, but still hit the spot.

The terrace view of the lake is so peaceful. I noticed the salad greens were incredibly fresh and crisp, which I really appreciate. A lovely spot for a light, healthy lunch.

The grilled unagi here really stood out for me. The skin had a lovely crispness from the charcoal, and the flesh was so tender. The sauce was rich, but it didn't overpower the natural flavor of the eel, which I really appreciated.

The soba oyaki dumplings have a really nice buckwheat taste. The nozawana pickle inside is super hearty.

Good spot for a quick sake stop. They have a lot of local Nagano bottles. Tried the chilled new sake - really liked it. Standing bar setup keeps things fast and simple. 👍

The bartender took time to explain the local drinks in English. Really appreciated that. It's the kind of attention that makes you feel looked after, even on a busy night.

The soba noodles are really fresh and tasty. Perfect spot to grab a quick, quality bite with friends before hopping on the train.

The taiyaki here is great. The outside is super crispy, almost like a thin wing, but the inside is still soft and warm. The red bean paste isn't too sweet, just right. Perfect for a quick snack.

The drip coffee was a little pricier than I expected, but it was so smooth and rich. The cozy atmosphere in the cafe was just perfect for a slow morning.

Been coming here for years, and their scones with herb butter are still the reason. That flavor in the bread just hits right every single time. Simple, but they never miss.
