The window tables have such a lovely view of the bay. A nice spot for a coffee, the ingredients in my salad tasted really fresh too.

The full English breakfast is a good deal. Sausages had a nice snap, the bacon was properly crispy, and the black pudding was spot on. The beans were a bit too sweet for my taste, but the eggs were cooked just right. Solid portion for the price.

Lovely little find in Bashful Alley! Great spot for a catch-up with a friend over coffee and cake. They've got some nice veggie and gluten-free choices too.

The chilli prawns and wild mushroom risotto were spot on. The cheesecake was a great finish. Service was quick and friendly, which is perfect for catching up with friends. It was just a bit quiet and chilly inside, so maybe not the vibe for a big, loud group.

A cosy little pub. The chicken platter was a real surprise – so pretty on the plate and cooked just right. Flavours were spot on. A proper treat.

Stayed for a couple of nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The lounge area attached to it was a nice surprise, quite spacious. It was fine for a short stay, though the decor felt a bit dated.

My regular spot in Kendal. The meze dishes are really nice, but I'm always here for the freshly baked borek - it's so good I usually grab an extra one to take away. They've got loads of vegan choices too.

Walked in without a booking and got a table straight away. The staff were so friendly and relaxed, really made the evening.

The steak pie was pretty good, nice and tender. The burger was fine too, homemade and decently sized. Service was polite and attentive. Prices felt reasonable for what you get.

Lovely spot for a catch-up with friends. We sat outside under the heaters and it was so cosy. The moving wall of flowers and plants inside is gorgeous! Service was really nice and quick. A bit pricey for lunch, but the vibe was spot on.

The owner and staff are so friendly. They remembered me from last week and offered a free portion of chips, which was a lovely touch. The chips were fresh and crispy, not greasy at all. I really appreciate when a place focuses on simple, good quality ingredients like that.

Lovely spot by the river, great for a sunny day drink. But the prices for a glass of wine were a bit steep for what you get. Still, the view of the cathedral is hard to beat.

The fish was lovely and fresh. Skin had a nice crisp. I asked for the tagliatelle without the chillies, and the sauce was still warm and flavourful. Appreciated that they could adjust it easily.

Cozy spot, really clean inside. I liked the little details in the ladies' room, like the nice hand soap and fresh flowers. The whole place just feels fresh and looked after.

Been here a few times for business lunches. Food is reliably good, flavours are solid. The grilled sea bass last week was spot on. Service can be a bit slow when they're busy, but it's a convenient location for meetings.

Been coming here for years. Their coffee selection is really something else, beans from everywhere. I usually grab a bag of the Ethiopian ground to go. It's a bit pricier than the supermarket, but you can taste the difference.

Popped in for a quick bite. The staff were really chatty, which was nice. Felt like hanging out at a mate's place more than a proper restaurant. Food was decent, nothing fancy.

Love the vibe here! Perfect spot to catch up with friends over a pint. The beer was spot on and the place has a nice, cosy feel.

Popped in for a late lunch by the river. The haggis and halloumi bites were a real surprise - really tasty. Just wish there were a few more on the plate for the price.

Been coming here for gigs for years. The seats are comfy, you can always see the stage clearly. Parking's a doddle and the drinks aren't a rip-off. It's just a reliable spot for a night out.

Service was polite and efficient. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, which made for a relaxed business lunch. They handled a last-minute change to our order smoothly. Good for a quick, professional meal.

The staff were really on top of things for a bank holiday - super friendly and helpful. They noticed my mum's walking stick right away and sorted out a better table for us without any fuss. Made the visit smooth.

Been coming here for years. On a cold day, nothing beats their coffee by the fireplace. The old building just makes it feel right. A proper local spot.

They had water bowls out and even some dog treats. My pup was happy, so I could actually relax and enjoy my coffee. Makes a big difference when you're out with the dog.
