Been coming here for years and the fish portions are still generous for the price. Place gets busy though, so book a table ahead.

The falafel with ratatouille and hummus was properly seasoned, decent portion too. Not many places around here do vegan options, so that's a plus. Staff didn't keep me waiting long. Place was bright inside, nothing fancy but comfortable. Fine if you're after something plant-based without the fuss.

Solid burgers and the homemade lemonade was a nice touch. Staff friendly enough, though they seemed a bit overwhelmed when it got busy. Decent spot for a casual bite.

The no-kids-after-5pm rule is honestly a genius move. Place was quiet, chill, felt like an actual adult evening out. More spots should try this.

The fish was really fresh and cooked just right. Service friendly too. A bit expensive for what you get, but the quality makes up for it.

We stopped by for dinner and the food really stood out—everything tasted fresh, nicely prepared. I had the grilled fish and it was light, not oily at all. The herbs on top made it feel thoughtful. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Maybe a bit busy in the evening, but the quality made up for it.

Stopped by for a quick bite. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. Had the grilled chicken—solid, nothing fancy. Outdoor seating’s nice but yeah, flies were annoying. Price was okay for what you got. Wouldn’t mind coming back if I’m in the area and short on time.

We stayed here with our dog and it worked out really well. No hassle at all, just walked right onto the beach from the hotel. That direct access made the whole trip so much easier. The room was fine, nothing fancy, but honestly the location was the main thing for us. Just wish the breakfast had a few more fresh fruit options.

Stopped by for coffee and cake. The owner was really friendly, made the whole place feel welcoming. Tried a slice of their cake—pretty solid. Coffee was just alright though, nothing special. Nice spot if you're in the area and want a quiet break.

Tried the fish platter for two – fish was fresh, veggies cooked right. Local ale went well with it. Staff kept things moving. Book ahead, it gets packed fast.

Been here a few times now, still solid. Build your own plate thing is pretty cool, price is fair for what you get. Not mind-blowing but does the job when you're hungry.

Service, food and Wine parring menu really on target. A creative composition of dishes. For a one star M-restautant a very reasonable price. Well done, have friends coming Freustil way in July.

Stopped by for tea and a slice of their homemade cake. The tea list is really long, took me a while to decide. Cake was moist, not too sweet, you can tell they use good ingredients. Place has a nice warm feel, perfect for a quiet afternoon. Staff let me sit and read without rushing me.

We stopped by for lunch and got the venison roast and the farmer's omelet with chanterelles. The omelet was the highlight—mushrooms tasted really fresh, not canned or anything. Portions were generous, I couldn’t finish mine. Service was quick even though it was busy. Only small thing: the venison was a bit dry on the edges. Still, a solid spot if you’re in the area.

Stopped by for dessert after a walk. The ship decor inside is kinda cool, feels like an old tavern. Had the crème brûlée, real vanilla in it, not that fake stuff. Simple and good. Service was fine, nothing to complain about. Place was a bit quiet for a Saturday, but whatever. Solid spot if you're in the area.

The fish tasted properly fresh, not frozen. I had the surf and turf and the beef was cooked just right. Dessert selection with cakes looked tempting but I was too full to try. Staff left me alone which I appreciated. Maybe slightly pricey for what you get, but the quality of the seafood made up for it.

Tried the game dishes here — really well prepared, juicy and full of flavor. Service was on point too. Price is on the higher side, but you can tell where the money goes.

The lamb with truffle mash was spot on, really tender. Took a while to come out though. Nice view of the Gorch Fock while waiting, so that helped.

Stopped by for lunch and ordered the local wheat beer — really solid choice. The place has that classic Hansa vibe, dark wood, kinda fancy but still relaxed. Food was decent, I had a traditional dish and it hit the spot. Menu’s got plenty of options if you’re into regional stuff. Maybe a bit pricey for what you get, but fine for the experience.

We stopped by for dinner and grabbed a table near the window. The lasagna was hearty, exactly what I needed after a long day. Portions are generous, no complaints there. Staff checked on us just enough, not too pushy. The Lambrusco was a nice touch with the cannelloni. Only small thing: it got a bit warm inside as the evening went on. Still, a comfortable spot to unwind.

Right on the harbor with outdoor seating—hard to beat that spot. Menu's limited and mains are pricey, but what we had was solid. Fine for a casual meal with a view.

The hot chocolate here is properly rich, not too sweet. Apple crumble was the highlight though—buttery topping, good amount of fruit. Service was friendly without hovering. Cozy spot for a quiet afternoon.

The pistachio gelato was really good—rich and creamy, tasted like actual nuts. Decent spot for a quick treat.

The kitchen shuts down at 9:30, so don't show up late. Flounder was spot on though, really fresh. Would've liked a glass of Riesling with it, but their wine list was a bit thin.

Pizzas were solid—came out hot even though we ordered a big takeaway batch. That’s not always easy. Service was quick for the size of the order. I’d grabbed a bottle of their house red to go with it, worked fine with the margherita. Nothing fancy, but it did the job. Maybe a bit more sauce next time, but overall a decent spot for a group order.

The pork knuckle was spot on—crispy skin, tender inside, proper amount of salt. Been coming here for years, portion sizes stay generous. Meat quality never dropped. Only thing is you don't really need a reservation unless you're a big group. That's it.

We’ve been here a few times now, and the pike-perch and schnitzel are always solid. Service stays friendly without being pushy. The room itself is what gets me though — warm lighting, wooden tables, not too loud even when it fills up. Easy to sit for a while after the meal. Just wish they’d open the windows a bit more in summer.

The lighting in there is something else—soft, warm, makes you want to stay longer. Had the rump steak, cooked just right. Staff knew their menu, no hesitation. Pricey though, but I didn't mind. That kind of evening doesn't happen often.

The hazelnut cake was the standout. Dense, nutty, not too sweet. Coffee paired well with it. Price is on the higher side for the portion, but the taste makes up for it. I'd order that cake again.
