Tried their persimmon leaf sushi. They said to wait a day, so I did. The flavor really came together overnight. The leaf scent was nice.

This place has been around since 1867, which is pretty cool. I sat on the terrace and the view was lovely. The raw kudzu noodles with brown sugar syrup were nice and slippery.

The steak was cooked just right, medium-rare like I asked. The meat was really flavorful and tender. Service was quick and friendly. A solid spot for a good piece of beef.

Stopped in for a coffee on a whim. Got the house blend, really smooth and not bitter at all. Just what I needed. Sat by the window for a bit. Nice little spot.

Popular spot. Waited 20 mins for a table. No reservation. But the garden outside is really nice. Made the wait okay.

The teishoku sets are simple and well-prepared. Menu photos and English options made ordering easy.

Chef's choice was a nice way to try some different skewers. The shrimp wrapped in shiso leaf was interesting. For the price though, I expected a couple more pieces in the course. It felt a bit light for what you pay.

Pasta was spot-on al dente. Coffee had a nice aroma. A bit pricey, but the quality and setting make sense.

Cozy and stylish, but the ingredients in the salad were incredibly fresh. Really appreciated that.

The grilled mackerel was perfectly cooked, and the adjustable rice portion is a thoughtful touch.

The set meals were really well-prepared, just what I hoped for. I liked how the dining area felt so calm and open, with plenty of space between tables. It made the whole meal feel relaxed.

Super easy to order with the touch panel, even when it's packed. Food came out fast, perfect for catching up with friends.

The private rooms are a nice touch, really helpful when you're with a group.

Parking was easy to find around here. That's a plus when you're driving. The lot had plenty of space on a weekday evening.

The persimmon leaf sushi was so good! The leaf smells amazing and the mackerel is tasty. Perfect for sharing with friends.

The sashimi was incredibly fresh, especially the tuna. The price for that quality felt fair.

The yakitori skewers are charcoal-grilled. That's the key. The Yamato chicken from Nara had a clean, deep flavor. Seasoning was just right, not overpowering the meat itself.

Breakfast set is a solid deal. The natto had that good sticky texture, and the onsen egg was just right. Miso soup was warm and comforting. Went with the smaller rice portion, felt balanced. Good way to start the morning.

The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was my choice. I really appreciate that they used black vinegar, it's a much more refined flavor than the usual overly sweet sauce. The pork itself was tender and the balance was just right. A nice, lighter take on a classic.

The food was good. I tried their signature sushi platter, and the fish was fresh. The rice had a nice balance of vinegar. The uni was particularly creamy.

The staff spoke English, which was handy. We had the grilled fish, it was pretty good. The place got a bit noisy later on, but overall a decent meal.

I went for the Hanazen set with friends. It's perfect for sharing - you get a little tempura, a little sashimi, all beautifully presented. We could try a bit of everything without over-ordering.
