We were recommended Bella Rosa from fellow holidaymakers.  We enjoyed our visit so much that we returned on our last night.  The food is delicious and the staff are so helpful and friendly.  Would definitely recommend you visit when in Carvoeiro.

Excellent, efficient and friendly service. I got the chicken linguine which was so light and delicious. We had reserved the 6.30 slot so had the choice of inside or out but it did get very busy later on so would recommend you reserve. Would go back as there was so much to choose from.

We regularly visit Casa Joao when on holiday in a nearby golf resort. We enjoy their Italian food.The staff are friendly, the food is very good and it&#39;s good value.Sesmarias is a little way out from the holiday villages of Carvoeiro and Ferragudo but Casa Joao is worth visiting and there is usually parking available on the roadside.

You&#39;d never know it from outside but this is a really cozy spot with great quality pizza. The owner was a real character and took time to walk us through some of his favourite menu items. We split 3 pizzas and one of their amazing thin crust garlic breads for a family of 4. I don&#39;t remember the name, but the white pizza with seasonal figs had a beautiful blend of flavours (we took a 2nd to go for a quick beach snack the next day). The draft beer was cold and the atmosphere was just right... albeit in a small footprint. Make sure to reserve a table during peak season!

Wonderfully charming and homey ambiance you feel as though you&rsquo;ve walked into someone&rsquo;s dining room. One suggestion take a taxi as getting here can be challenging, it&rsquo;s located in a residential neighborhood with very steep hills and narrow streets. And our GPS got confused and we drove around in circles. It&rsquo;s a set menu for 38&euro;, 7 courses, five starters and two mains one fish and meat. All of the dishes are authentic Portuguese cuisine and mostly seafood. Truly fresh ingredients, some highlights fresh clams in a garlic butter sauce, lightly battered shrimp, fresh fish with homemade pasta in a light broth with piri piri and cilantro. The pork on the bone in a light stew was so incredibly tender and juicy.The mini dessert sampler was fantastic! The almond crunch was fantastic as was the lemon and carob cakes. The service was excellent and our waiter is the son of the owner&rsquo;s and his Mom is the chef who we met and thanked her for a truly phenomenal and special meal.

Everything was as good as ever, it was extremely busy hence service was a little slow however as we were on holiday it was no biggie and a good time was had by all

Very good food, well prepared and nicely presented, all with extremely friendly and competent service.  We&rsquo;ll most certainly be back!

Mentes tapas bar serves fantastic Portuguese style tapas dishes. The service was super friendly and professional. The atmosphere is cozy and we were seated at a large table which was great so you had lots of space to share all the tasty tapas. The beef strips with pepper sauce, the melted goat cheese, the home made tacos and the garlic prawns were all fantastic. The flavors are nicely balanced and the portions are perfect for sharing.&nbsp;We completed our meal with an exquisite chocolate petit gateau and a tasty lemoncake with ice cream. The gateau was the best we have tasted in a while, in fact it was so good we ended up ordering another extra gateau.&nbsp;A special compliment for the manager, she really made us feel very welcome and ensured everything ran very smoothly during our thoroughly enjoyable evening. I would definitely recommend visiting Mentes tapas and we will be coming back again soon.

Lovely dinner on the beautiful terrace upstairs.  We started with cocktails which were delicious. The staff is efficient, professional and, above all, extremely  helpful and friendly. The young owner (the one &quot;on duty&quot; that night) is very kind and he runs the restaurant in the best possible way. The seafood (oysters and razor clams for us), the fish (stone bass) and the octopus were very fresh and tasty. The beautiful wine list will meet everyone&#39;s taste and budget.  Long story short: a beautiful place, a very pleasant experience and some delicious food. Thumbs up !

Dining here has become a regular occurrence when visiting Portimao. The food and wine are always superb. Thank you to the team for recommending wines to accompany the dishes - so knowledgeable and friendly. We&rsquo;ll be back!

The restaurant in Lagoa is wonderful. We were 4 people and had dishes you do not find on a regular menu. What a wonderful surprise if you care for homecooked unusual portuguese dishes.Not that they do not serve the normal ones but we did not try them.

The owners of this restaurant are passionate about their craft, and it shows in the quality of the food and wine. A must-visit for anyone in the Algarve!

Had garlic pizza and pasta mains. Super tasty food, excellent sauces, very friendly and helpful staff and really good value. Will be back during our holiday.
